R&B Singer Jordin Sparks is hosting her first holiday special, in partnership with digital media and entertainment company Kin, that will air on Food Network Canada Dec.1.
In “How to Holiday With Jordin Sparks,” the Season Six “American Idol” winner will be joined by some of Canada’s biggest digital lifestyle creators from Kin’s influencer community, including Yolanda Gampp of “How to Cake It,” Sara Lynn Cauchon of “The Domestic Geek,” Cheryl Torrenueva of “Simply Cher Cher,” Matt Basile of “Fidel Gastro,” and Lauren Toyota of “Hot for Food.”
The guests have a collective global following of more than 10 million fans and will produce, film and edit their own segments, executive produced and developed by Kin.

When YouTube creators write books based on their channels, they tend to support those texts with multi-city book tours. Such event series require significant logistical planning, and a bus company is leveraging that need to get in a bit of promotion. Greyhound has partnered with Kin Community for a deal that will provide creator Lauren Toyota of the hot for food channel with the wheels she needs to span the nation on her cross-continent book tour.

In her first book, titled Hot for Food Vegan Comfort Classics: 101 Recipes to Feed Your Face, Toyota shares some of her greatest hits with aspiring chefs. Kin Community Canada and Corus Entertainment are working hard to bring new branded content to online video fans. The two companies have partnered with various Canadian YouTube creators to launch three new campaigns starting on May 13, 2015, surrounding products from hair brand Batiste, liquor company Mark Anthony’s Palm Bay, and food brand McCain SuperFries.
The first campaign will feature YouTube celebrities and Kin creators Theodore Leaf, Alexandrea Garza, and Carah Furry using the hair product Batiste Dry Shampoo to demonstrate easy-to-replicate hairstyles. Leaf will show how Batiste helps provide volume after a gym workout, Garza will use the product to create a quick morning hair fix, and Furry will provide five different hairstyles using Batiste’s Dry Shampoo.
Launching later in May, the four-week series Party Guide to Girls’ Night In will be hosted by Corus Radio hosts and CoralTV creators Dani and Catherine. The two women will discuss how to throw the perfect at-home,...
