Summer and dancing go hand in hand. So who better to give us the Best Dance Movies than Mollee Gray, a professional dancer who plays "Giggles" in Disney Channel's "Teen Beach Movie" and a Top 8 Finalist in Season 6 of Fox's hit dance competition show "So You Think You Can Dance."
1. Dirty Dancing. I loved that a typical girl like "Baby" wasn't scared to push the boundaries with her family to pursue her passion for dance...and fight for the one she loves. 2. Center Stage. This was so awesome because it opened up more of the "company world" to a different audience, and because of that people have a new appreciation for ballet as well as company movement. Moved by a passion for dance, singing and acting, young Hollywood starlet Mollee Gray is taking the Disney world by storm. In a recent exclusive interview, Mollee talked about her latest film project Teen Beach Movie and all the fun she had bringing her character Giggles to life while working on the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico.
How did you get involved with Teen Beach Movie and what drew you to the role of Giggles?
Mollee: I was doing a pilot with Disney and I had a role on that as a spunky cheerleader, so one of the casting directors at Disney, Judy Taylor, invited me to audition. She said it was basically already casted, but they had a couple roles left. So I went and I ended up getting it. Then they flew me within a week, after I got done finishing the pilot, to Puerto Rico to start work on it.

Is "So You Think You Can Dance's" Season 6 Top 10 coming to a venue near you in the new year?
Turns out, probably not.
Though a post-season, multi-city tour for the final ten (oftentimes 12) talented dancers left standing has become as much a part of "So You Think You Can Dance" as the actual TV show itself, it looks like Season 6's winners probably won't have that part of the experience.
Last week, finalist Mollee Gray Tweeted -- "I just heard we aren't having a tour?! Ugghh man that sucks for sure ... :( I'm gunna cry :(" -- and though her fellow "Dance" finalists have kept mum on the subject (we're thinking they were asked to stay quiet) a show rep does confirm that there is no Season 6 tour planned at this time.

Rumor is flying that "So You Think You Can Dance" will not conduct a tour this season, at least not in immediate future. The source of the story is Mollee Gray who is one of the Top 10 finalists of season 6 who suppose to have heard about a plan to go on a national tour after the show wrapped up last week.
Gray tweeted on Tuesday, December 22 afternoon, "I just heard we aren't having a tour?! Ugghh man that sucks for sure... :( I'm gunna cry :(". So You Think You Can Dance season six turned out to have a few more rough edges than perhaps the producers and dancers would have liked. Several members of the top 20 were so seriously injured that they had to drop out or stop out (Billy, Noelle, Ashleigh), the final was hosted on the home stage rather than in the glamorous confines of the Kodak Theatre, the top four were fluffed up into a top six for lack of time and now comes the news that the victory tour is probably canceled. What? Is it true that there's no tour on deck for season six's top 10 dancers? Here's what we're hearing... Top-eight finalist Mollee Gray broke the news on her Twitter this afternoon. She tweeted, "I just heard...

So You Think You Can Dance contestant Mollee Gray has said that she wants to star on Broadway for her next move. The 18-year-old lyrical jazz dancer told People that she'd love the opportunity after being ousted from the competition with Jonathan 'Legacy' Perez this week. "Honestly, I don't you know what's in my future, but I hope that it involves acting, singing and dancing because I have been acting for seven years. I've been singing for about five. I feel like I have the (more)...

Labeled immature early in the competition, 18-year-old Mollee Gray, a lyrical jazz dancer from Upland, Calif., made her dream come true just by making the top 10 on So You Think You Can Dance. But after giving what the judges called her best performance of the season, she was unexpectedly cut just before the show's first fall finale. Meanwhile, Ashleigh Di Lello, who was unable to perform this week due to a shoulder injury, moved on. Mollee spoke with reporters about losing a spot in the finale to someone who didn’t dance, how the immaturity comments affected her and what...

The judges loved her. Tweens adored her. But after her best performance night of the season, our perky jazz dancer failed to collect enough votes to move onto the finale and was eliminated before a dancer who didn't even dance(!) Tuesday night. So how does she feel about it all? Below, Mollee talks to EW about battling critiques about immaturity, meeting her role model, and how it feels to go home before Ashleigh. Entertainment Wekly: Are you feeling bummed after last night? Mollee Gray: You know, actually, I was really bummed last night. I think anybody would be after being voted off their dream.

With such an amazing group of dancers fighting for a spot in the first fall finale of So You Think You Can Dance, it made sense that Wednesday's results were surprising. Despite an injured shoulder that prevented her from competing Tuesday, Ashleigh avoided elimination -- and didn't even end up in the bottom four. And while her husband Ryan did land in the bottom (again), America pushed him through as well. "There was a huge groundswell of emotion that has swept Ryan and Ashleigh into the finals," Nigel Lythgoe told People backstage after the show, referring to Ryan's emotional plea...

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Mollee Gray, the latest contestant to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance.
While Mollee may have been chided for her immaturity during her time on So You Think You Can Dance, she handled her interview like a pro. She was surprisingly well spoken and diplomatic, while still sounding like the 18 year old she is. Read all about what Mollee had to say about her favorite dance, "a history making moment," and her elimination.

The contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been narrowed down to 6 on Wednesday, December 9. Two were sent home, while Ashleigh Di Lello was absent from performing after popping her shoulder out of her socket.
Jonathan "Legacy" Perez and Ryan Dilello were in the bottom two in men's part. And when it came to women's turn, Mollee Gray and Ellenore Scott were revealed as the two to be in the unsafe zone. The safe participants beside Ashley thus were Jakob Karr, Russell Ferguson, and Kathryn McCormick.
While the folks in the bottom four were preparing for their solos, the so-called "Asia's No. 1 Pop Group," the Wonder Girls took the stage and performed their hit single "I Want Nobody But You", which reportedly is the English version of "Nobody". And prior to the final results, audience were treated to a performance from "American Idol" 8th season champion Kris Allen...

Usually we unequivocally love all TV lovers, but after the top-eight elimination on So You Think You Can Dance this week, we're going to have to seriously rethink our position on that! See, according to the authorities, fans of a certain Sytycd season-six couple swamped the chances of our favorite scrappy street dancer without regard to last night's performances (or lack thereof). Which two went home and why? Here's what we're hearing from the judges, plus executive producer Nigel Lythgoe shares the rundown for next week's uniquely structured season finale... This week's eliminated dancers were Legacy Perez and Mollee Gray. Why Legacy, who seemed to be a fan favorite? According to judge...

It was after the final break that Cat revealed Ellenore had made it into next weeks final and Mollee Gray was eliminated. Next, Ryan was revealed to have made it into the finals as well, while Legacy Perez was also eliminated. They two as well as the rest of the dancers watched special clips of Legacy and Mollee's journey through the competition. I must admit, I was a little touched. So to answer your question, Legacy and Mollee were eliminated from "So You Think You Can Dance?" Season 6 during week seven. The final six dancers will battle it out during next week's finals. Also, be sure to check out a special performance from "American Idol" Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. Hopefully, it's nowhere near as shocking as his performance at the American Music Awards.

After fielding criticism week after week on what the judges called his “immaturity,” Nathan Trasoras, the 18-year-old contemporary wiz from Downey, Calif., gave it his all right up until the end. An early favorite, who sadly was unable to mend his relationship with America after comments he made on stage, became the first male dancer to be cut from So You Think You Can Dance's illustrious top 10. Trasoras spoke to reporters the day after his elimination and answered questions about all that negative feedback from the judges, what he took away from his Sytycd experience and why he'd love to be Broadway bound.

Something has changed on So You Think You Can Dance. And I'm not just talking about the sad departure of Mia Michaels, or that strange sulphuric smell ever since an over-hyped Katie Holmes stunk up the place with her pre-taped Judy Garland song and dance "tribute." (Yeah, we're all still scratching our heads over that one.)
No, the change I'm referring to is a good one: The show isn't so darn homophobic these days.
This season's Top 10 dancers: Pictured back row L-r: Russell Ferguson, Mollee Gray, Nathan Trasoras, Ryan Di Lello, Jakob Karr, Ashleigh Di Lello and Legacy Perez. Bottom row L-r: Kathryn McCormick, Noelle Marsh and Ellenore Scott.
In previous seasons, Sytycd had a readily apparent mean streak when it came to the gays. Male dancers who were on the... uh... lesser side of butch were routinely criticized for not having enough "chemistry" with their female partners.

After a strong show of performances Tuesday, it was up to America (with the judges merely assisting now) to determine which of So You Think You Can Dance's talented top 10 would be the first two to go. After the votes were counted, Noelle Marsh, 18, the contemporary darling from Sandford, N.C., and Nathan Trasoras, also 18, of Downey, Calif., received their walking papers. "America got it right this week," a satisfied Nigel Lythgoe told People backstage after the show. "I think they've looked at the whole of the time that these kids have been on the program [and] not just the routines that they did [this week]." Nathan,...

Recognition, a spot on tour and a paycheck are all a part of what it means to be in the So You Think You Can Dance top 10. The Top 12 of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been wilted down to mere 10. Married ballroom dancer couple Ashleigh Di Lello and Ryan Di Lello are through to the next round but Karen Hauer and Victor Smalley have to stop their journey on the show.
During the deliberation, Karen and Victor were joined in the bottom three by Mollee and Nathan; and Ellenore and Ryan. All six of them had to dance for their lives if they wanted to stay in the competition. Karen was criticized for looking like she has surrendered and thus was the first to be eliminated. On the other hand, Victor delivered an energetic piece but it was not enough to convince the judges to keep him.
The Top 10 apart from the Di Lellos are thus Russell Ferguson, Mollee Gray, Jakob Karr, Noelle Marsh, Kathryn McCormick, Jonathan "Legacy" Perez, Ellenore Scott and Nathan Trasoras.

Seems like the injury curse has moved from Dancing with the Stars to So You Think You Can Dance. First it was Billy Bell's bloody nose, then Pauline Mata's yucky ankle injury, then Billy Bell's mystery illness, Noelle's knee injury, last week Victor Smalley required 5 stitches after partner Channing Cooke "pecked' him too hard, and now we have word that Mollee Gray has been injured.

During last week's So You Think You Can Dance results show, head judge Nigel Lythgoe lost all of his British reserve and fastidious manners when the audience booed his harsh critique of tween sweethearts Nathan Trasoras and Mollee Gray. In a moment that reminded us why British TV audiences used to refer to Nigel as "Nasty Nigel," he spun in his judges chair and hissed at the audience to "shut up." Certainly it was not gentlemanly or really, head judge behavior.
Well, Nigel realizes the error of his ways, though even in his twitter apology, he's not fully ready to play nice. Here's what Nigel had to say about his little outburst:...

Mollee Gray and Nathan Trasoras' devoted fan base made all the difference this week on So You Think You Can Dance. Had Mollee and Nathan's fans not voted their couple safe during last night's competition show, the bottom six would have had a different composition, and it's possible that another couple might have gone home. So who did go home tonight, how did Mollee and Nathan change the game, and which dancer might be too sexy for her own good? It would seem for season 6, the previous So You Think You Can Dance Twitter ban has been lifted on contestants, because the remaining Top 18 dancers continue tweeting up a storm. While this Monday has seen updates from Legacy (offering Monday advice), Mollee Gray (who wants to have some fun) and Pauline Mata (who is enjoying the sunshine), the most interesting 140 characters came from Noelle Marsh.
As we all know, Noelle sat out the Top 20 performance show with a knee injury. Nigel Lythgoe and company were gracious enough to give Noelle a bye for week one (much to the chagrin of the eliminated Ariana DeBose) to wait for Mri results and see if her knee would heal. Based on her most recent Tweet and my incredible power of deduction, I would venture that Noelle will be dancing on this week's So You Think You Can Dance Top 18 performance show.

It was a dancer’s dream and a choreographer’s delight when So You Think You Can Dance decided to try something a little different for their first fall episode after auditions. Rather than jump right into competition, the judges, the audience and the choreographers had a chance to meet the top 20 and see them dance in their own styles without worry of elimination. Judges Nigel, Mary and Adam Shankman (now a permanent fixture) were on hand more to encourage than to critique on the new set, now on the famed American Idol stage. (There was even a designated spot for Paula Abdul if she decides to drop by!) The first of seven routines showcasing the top 20 in their respective styles started with a Wade and Amanda Robson creation set in a speakeasy world with rival gangs battle-dancing in a vivid costume extravaganza. Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo then got the...
