Bali Film Center (BFC), Indonesia was established in 2002. A trusted partner of two decades-plus professionally servicing the country's international film and television projects. BFC is the founder and organizer of the Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) in 2007. An Academy Award® Qualifying Festival for Best Short Film. The annual program consists of independent documentaries, feature films, short films from Indonesia and worldwide, industry talks and forums, and community and educational programs. Balinale is a platform to illustrate the country's creative capabilities and support its film industry growth. International affiliations include Berlinale Spotlight Generation, The Juilliard School-Center for Innovation in the Arts, the Asean Film Festival, Sundance Film Forward, and the Asian Film Awards.
