Originally formed in Cicero, IL, in 1966 as Gary and the Knight Lites.
Members have included Gary Loizzo (d. 1/16/2016 of cancer), Lee Graziano, Charles Colbert Jr., Al Ciner, Kevin Murphy, Paulette McWilliams.
After the band broke up in 1969, members Graziano, Colbert, Ciner and McWilliams went on to form Rufus, and in 1974 they added Chaka Khan to the lineup and had a hit with "Tell Me Something Good".
