The Vampire Diaries and its characters were so appealing and successful that a spinoff of the show only made sense. Between The Originals and The Vampire Diaries, fans of the two shows got a taste for a lot of steamy romances. However, many of the actors had off-screen romances with each other.

While the Nina Dobrev/Ian Somerhalder relationship might be the best known, there’s another couple that was hitched way before they starred in the series.
Who is Michael Malarkey?
Malarkey’s beginnings started on the London stage, where he had lead roles in Spring Storm by Tennessee Williams and an adaptation of The Great Gatsby. He went to school and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
He got his big break when he landed the role of Lorenzo “Enzo” St. John in the television show The Vampire Diaries.

"We live in a world that's full of risk." Lionsgate has released the official trailer for an indie noir thriller titled The Poison Rose, from writer/director George Gallo. Inspired by classic film noir stories, the film stars John Travolta as Carson Phillips, an ex-football star turned private eye working in Hollywood, who's got a soft spot for a lady in distress. He's recruited to go back down to his hometown of Galveston, Texas to search for a missing woman, ending up in all kinds of trouble. The impressive cast also features Morgan Freeman, Famke Janssen, Brendan Fraser, Peter Stormare, Ella Bleu Travolta, Kat Graham, Robert Patrick, Nadine Lewington, and Nick Vallelonga. I don't really know how this got made, and it looks exactly as it's described, without anything interesting or unique about it. Still might be a fun watch? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Cinquemani & Gallo & Giliberto's The Poison Rose,...

Horatio Alger stories don’t get much more archetypal than fitness pioneer Joe Weider’s: scrawny Jewish child of the Depression learns to defend himself from schoolyard prejudice by strengthening himself, then turns the world on to the healthy effects of weight-training and bodybuilding, and ultimately creates a fitness empire.
Movie material, right? Kid who got sand kicked in his face, like in that old cartoon, becomes the ripped dude with the hot girlfriend. And Weider actually did marry a blonde ’50s pin-up queen, Betty Brosmer. On top of that, in the late 1960s, he nurtured an Austrian nobody named Arnold Schwarzenegger to worldwide glory on the Mr. Olympia/Mr. Universe circuit. How could this story not work as a flex-and-pecs, flab-to-slab biopic of singular American success?
I don’t know, but “Bigger,” director and co-writer George Gallo’s movie of Weider’s trajectory, is a missed opportunity, the kind...

It’s been more than four years since Klaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes have appeared together on screen — not counting that Vampire Diaries phone call, of course — so fans are understandably eager for the duo’s reunion in the upcoming final season of The Originals.
But just how eager should they be? TVLine went to showrunner Julie Plec for the answer:
“I think what people can expect and count on is a nice thread of Caroline as a guiding counselor to Klaus in terms of fatherhood,” Plec teases. “She’s a mother, she lost her husband and she knows [Klaus] very...

Well, this is some exciting casting news.
According to TV Line, Nadine Lewington has joined the cast of The Originals Season 5.
The actress will take on the role of Greta Sienna, a “calculating and charismatic vampire” who paraded around Europe in the 1920s and '30s
In recent times, the vampire made her way to New Orleans, and it sounds like she values her family very dearly.
Lewington will first appear on The Originals Season 5 Episode 1, which debuts Friday, April 20 at 9/8c.
Her deal with the soon-to-conclude vampire drama is said to be on a recurring basis, so she will likely be around for most of the final episodes.
Nadine previously worked The Originals' co-executive producer on Containment which had a short run on The CW in 2016.
Here's a fun fact for you: Lewington is married to former The Vampire Diaries star, Michael Malarkey who played Enzo on the show's final four seasons.

Those familiar with Julie Plec’s work on The CW should recognize one of The Originals‘ newest recruits.
Nadine Lewington, who played Suzy on Plec’s short-lived CW drama Containment, will recur in the upcoming final season of The Originals, TVLine has learned exclusively.
First appearing in the final season premiere — airing Friday, April 20 at 9/8c — Lewington will play Greta Sienna, a “calculating and charismatic vampire” who cut her fangs in Europe in the 1920s and ’30s. Now living in New Orleans, Greta has “adapted nicely to her modern community,” though she remains a woman of “deep principles” and harbors...

Now that The Vampire Diaries Enzo has finally chosen a side, what's next for the wayward vamp?
When we last saw the English bloodsucker (Michael Malarkey), he was kidnapping Caroline (Candice King) on hybrid ringleader Lily Salvatore's (Annie Wersching) orders, and Malarkey tells People Thursday's episode will shed light on why Enzo chose Team Lily.
"If you look at all the facts and way it all out, he's invested a lot in being there for Damon and Caroline over the course of the last season and a half," says Malarkey, 32. "And I think he feels like that loyalty has not been reciprocated from them.

The Enzo and Damon bromance is alive and kicking—in real life, at least. The Vampire Diaries star Michael Malarkey almost got into a little trouble with his wife, actress Nadine Lewington, last week, and it's all because of Ian Somerhalder. "One thing I can tell you is he gave me a hickey this week in Vegas," Malarkey told E! News at the iHeartRadio Music festival of his co-star. "I tried to cover it up a little bit and it's just kind of a hard thing to explain to the Mrs." "We were just messing around in the photo op booth because we had a convention in Vegas," Malarkey said, referring to the Vampire Diaries convention that he and...
