Singer Neha Bhasin shared a picture with her husband, Sameer Uddin, whom she described as the love of her life. The singer also revealed that he was the music and video director of her song ‘Furqat’.

Superstar Salman Khan, who has been roped in as brand ambassador of the music reality show Indian Pro Music League, says music is something that will continue to entertain the audience, no matter what.

Salman has recorded several film songs in a career of over three decades, and he released three special songs -- Pyaar Corona, Tere bina and Bhai bhai -- last year during lockdown. Asked if he would sing on the upcoming show, Salman Khan replied, "You (audience) will see it. When you watch the show, you will realize what is there in it. It is a unique music league where we will try to present different forms of music to the audience."

Singer Neha Bhasin, who recently released her single Tu Ki Jaane, has revealed that she shot for the video amid harsh weather conditions in Nainital and on a night schedule.

The video has been shot in a sensuous narrative, where the dilemma of modern-age lovers is presented in a musical manner.

"We were shooting in a remote area of Nainital for the track, and the generators had gone off. It wasn't easy to get the back-up quickly. Our day schedule eventually shifted to night schedule while arranging a generator, and the only source of heat was in my make-shift green room," Neha tells Ians.

The song is composed and written by Neha and produced by Sameer Uddin. The video is directed by Prayrit Seth, and it features the supermodel Bardeep Dhiman as the male protagonist.

"'Tu ki jaane' is a melancholic song about a love unfulfilled, about a road block in a once happy relationship also embodies the evolution of a woman of today. New Delhi, Jan 5 (Ians) Singer Neha Bhasin, who started off as a contestant on a reality show almost two decades ago, says such platforms can be a great starting point but winning them does not always mean your career is set.

After emerging as one of the winners of the show "Coke [V] Popstars" in 2002, Neha became a member of the all girls band Viva. The band, which also consisted of Seema Ramchandani, Pratichee Mohapatra, Mahua Kamat and Anushka Manchanda, delivered hits such as "Hum naye geet sunaye" and "Jaago zara" but disintegrated after a few years as they all chose to pursue solo careers.

As a solo Bollywood singer, Neha has given hit songs such as "Kuchh khaas", "Dhunki" and "Jag ghoomeya".

"Reality shows can be a great starting point. It was a great one for me as well. Having said that, I did have to establish my solo career on my own.

Singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya has replaced composer Anu Malik as judge on "Indian Idol 11" after the latter withdrew his name from the show in the face of MeToo allegations against him.

A few days ago, Malik had stepped down as judge from the ongoing season 11 of the music reality TV show after growing outcry against him over allegations of sexual harassment, levelled by singer Sona Mohapatra. Known for his work in numerous Bollywood soundtracks, Sohail Sen is one of the best brining unique sounds to the Hindi film music industry. Coming from a family of professional musicians, Sen has composed soundtracks to popular films such as What’s Your Raashee? (2009), Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). His latest work is for the upcoming film Gunday, which stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the leading roles. We have a special treat for you all! We managed to get an exclusive interview with the musically talented Mr Sohail Sen about all things Gunday gana. Tell us about the brief you were given for Gunday.

The brief...

Gunday is a forthcoming action film starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan in the leading roles. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Gunday is slated for release on 14 February 2014 and promises to be an adrenaline-fuelling film based on two thieves who join the coal mafia in Kolkata. The music to Gunday has been composed by Sohail Sen, who has given us albums such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Tha Tiger. The lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil, Ali Abbas Zafar, Bappi Lahiri and Gautam Susmit. So does the music to Gunday live up to our expectations? Read on to find out!

First up we have ‘Jashn-e-Ishqiya,’ which has been sung by Javed Ali and Shadab Faridi. The song contains rock samples with the use of instruments such as bass drums and electric guitar. The vocals are respectable and give the song a masculine flavour to it.
