Exclusive: The controversial death Eazy-e, frontman of groundbreaking rap group Nwa, is to be explored in a new docuseries.
WEtv has ordered The Mysterious Death of Eazy-e and the four-part limited series will investigate the gangsta rap icon’s 1995. It comes from Critical Content.
Eazy-e, otherwise known as Eric Lynn Wright, died on March 26, 1995, a month after being admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. He was diagnosed with HIV/AIDs. But there are conspiracies about the nature of his death.
There have long been rumblings about how he contracted the deadly disease. Death Row Records founder Suge Knight once discussed, on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, how killing someone with a contaminated blood injection, “an Eazy-e thing”, was the new way to kill people rather than shooting them.
There were also suggestions that Eazy-e, who also ran Ruthless Records and signed artists such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, had a hit out on him by white supremacists,...

Back in 1951, the New York Yankees were still on top, the Dodgers were in Brooklyn, the Giants roamed New York’s Polo Grounds, and fans could collect the first set of Topps playing cards at one cent for a pack of two.
Needless to say, a lot has changed the past 70 years, all of the above remain woven into the fabric of baseball. And much like last year’s Topps Project 2020, the trading card giant is giving artists the freedom to put their own stamp on traditional trading cards with Project70.
Coinciding with Topps’ anniversary of that first set, Project70 kicked off on Feb. 17. Topps tasked artists with “revisiting and reimagining 70 years of iconic baseball card designs,” according to the project’s microsite. The number of partnered artists increased from the 20 who worked on Project 2020 to an apropos 51, a callback to the year it all began.

There’s a line outside of Atlanta’s Premium Kicks. Makes sense. Ask any rapper, athlete or local with decent fashion sense and they’ll tell you it’s the place to go for new Jordans.
But something’s different about this line. You don’t see the twentysomethings in Supreme hoodies impatiently pecking away at their phones; nah, these are older white guys in trucker hats.
When the security guard motions them in, they don’t walk to the left towards the wall of Air Maxes; they go to the right,...

Tidal has seen better days — well, that's not true ... but maybe it's about to see better days? DJ Skee's beautiful hearsay from last year has an update, courtesy of none other than DJ Skee and his "sources." When discussing the seemingly elitist streaming service on his show, Skee casually said that his sources claim Bey and Jay's joint album is nearing completion and will be released exclusively on Tidal. (Exclusively on Tidal. This is like Halo for Xbox all over again, Sos.) The producer known as Detail coyly confirmed the album's existence for Billboard earlier this year, and Bey and Jay have already dropped some exclusives on Tidal, so it's not totally far-fetched. But if it's true, there will totally be riots. Or, as Skee says, it'll just leak everywhere but Tidal. Here's hoping this rumored risk pays off..
