At the start of “Survivor 43” it was looking like series history would be made if they had become the first season to vote five women out in a row. Thankfully they dodged setting what would have been an unfortunate record, but sadly “Survivor 44” is already in the same position. Setting aside the medevac of Bruce Perreault on Day 1, four women have once again been the first four voted out of a “Survivor” game. If the players extend it to a fifth next week, they will make history as the first and only cast to eliminate five women out in a row.
As things stand, the game will remain in the three tribe format for at least one more episode. Ratu voted Maddy Pomilla out first, Tika is responsible for sending home both Helen Li and Sarah Wade, and Soka ousted Claire Rafson after she sat her out for three straight immunity challenges.

The castaways of “Survivor 43” have positioned themselves to set a new record next week — all they need to do is vote out a fifth woman in a row. So far the cast has only eliminated females: Morriah Young, Justine Brennan, Nneka Ejere and Lindsay Carmine were the first four players voted out, matching a franchise record. If they continue on this path and vote another woman out next week, they will go down in infamy as the record holders for longest succession of female eliminations to start a season. Yikes!
Luckily, as it stands in Gold Derby’s racetrack odds, the cast is not headed toward setting such a disastrous record. Instead, Geo Bustamante leads our current predictions to be eliminated in Episode 5 at 19/25. He is followed, however, by four women with decent odds to go: Cassidy Clark at 6/1 and Jeanine Zheng, Elisabeth ‘Elie’ Scott and Noelle Lambert all at...

“Survivor: Winners at War” may purport to decide the best winner of all time, but 18 former champions could plausibly dispute that. While Season 40 does have “Survivor” legends like Rob Mariano, Parvati Shallow and Sandra Diaz-Twine, it does not include every past winner. For instance, the first two winners, Richard Hatch and Tina Wesson, are missing from the “Winners at War” cast despite being from two of the most-watched seasons in the show’s history. Check out our photos above of all 18 “Survivor” winners not on the Season 40 cast.

It was a Cancun wedding for Survivor: One World contestant Alicia Rosa.
The reality star, who finished fifth on the long-running show in 2012, tied the knot with attorney Mark Waller on Saturday at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun.
Several of Rosa’s fellow Survivors attended the ceremony, including Nina Acosta, Matt Quinlan and winners Kim Spradlin Wolfe and Aras Baskauskas.
While the ceremony and the reception went without a hitch, Rosa, 30, did have some trouble finding the perfect dress. After a bridal shop twice failed to deliver the gown she had ordered, Rosa found herself without anything to wear.

Aras Baskauskas is a married man!
The Survivor: Panama champ tied the knot with fiancé Christy Dawn Petersen in a laid-back beach ceremony on April 25.
It was important to Baskauskas and Petersen that the ceremony and reception be a relaxed celebration for their 96 guests. "I'm not usually a big wedding fan – most feel so stuffy," Baskauskas tells People. "But this one was so much fun."
After they became engaged in 2013, Baskauskas and Petersen welcomed their son River Juozas last year.
The couple got married at the Papaya Playa Project in Tulum, Mexico. They exchanged their vows just a few steps from the beach.

It's getting personal on season 27 of CBS' Survivor. This time around returning players will be pitted against their loved ones. Survivor's ratings have been declining over the past few years. Will this new twist cause the ratings to rise or will they fall? Time will tell.
Host Jeff Probst is back, as are 10 past contestants -- Aras Baskauskas, Candice Cody, Colton Cumbie, Gervase Peterson, Kat Edorsson, Laura Morett, Monica Culpepper, Rupert Boneham, Tina Wesson, and Tyson Apostol.
The higher a show's ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. New ratings data will be added as it becomes available -- typically around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

“It’s My Night”

The challenge when analyzing Survivor is finding thrills when the finale reaches a predictable ending. This trend has happened frequently in recent seasons, with Malcolm’s exit from the Philippines being a rare exception. Even so, there’s still plenty to enjoy with Blood vs. Water’s conclusion. Tyson removes any doubts about a victory by taking the final two immunity challenges and choosing the right people. Underdogs like Ciera and Tina are too dangerous to face with this jury. Despite the editing focusing on Monica, she earns just one vote, and the rest go to Tyson. It’s hard to disagree with rewarding a guy who found two idols, built a solid alliance, and dodged stiff challenges from Hayden and Ciera. He’s come a long way from the goofball of the Tocantins or...

Third time was the charm for Tyson Apostol. Five years after coming short of the grand prize on Survivor: Tocantins and four years after returning for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, Apostol finally won the title of sole survivor and the grand prize of $1,000,000. Previously known as a villain for his conniving ways, Apostol, 34, arrived for Survivor: Blood vs. Water alongside his girlfriend of over five years, Rachel Foulger. Apostol was a strong competitor from the start and despite suffering an injury early on in the season, he attacked the game with renewed vigor after Foulger, 33, was eliminated from the competition.

After all, he had not played in 13 years, And the one time he did play back in season 1 of Borneo, he was best known for being freaked out by the food challenge and walking through a running challenge when he was out of eyesight from the rest of his tribe. But when presented this time with an opportunity to make a big move and vote out one of his biggest alliance members in Aras, Gervase took it. And that move brought...

It felt weird, right? Having a Big Brother player on Survivor just seemed kind of odd. But Hayden Moss fit right in the second he hit the beach for Blood vs. Water. And the Big Brother champion almost added a Survivor title to his collection. Alas, he was finally voted out and then lost the duel that could have gotten him back into the game. We spoke with the reality veteran to find out which show truly is harder and also to get some explanation as to why his girlfriend, Kat, was bragging about her new boobs on TV. He...

Gervase Peterson, who joined "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" after not having competed on the show since Season 1, took third place during the finale behind Tyson Apostol and Monica Culpepper. He tells Zap2it that he did consider flipping on Tyson at one point.
Zap2it: Are you glad you returned to "Survivor"? What was different about this time around versus your first season?
Gervase Peterson: Absolutely ecstatic that they brought me back to play again. What was different was really the players. The game is the same, it was the players. They're a lot faster-paced with how they do things. As soon as we got to the beach, Colton came to me and he said here's our alliance -- it's me, you, Aras, Monica and Kat. I was like, "What if I don't like somebody in that alliance? I gotta play with them for 39 days?" ... That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.

Tyson Apostol has provided a lot of comedy on Survivor over the years. Some of it was intentional, with his dry sense of humor and snarky attitude. Some was of the unintentional variety, like when he needlessly changed his vote on Heroes vs. Villains, essentially voting himself out of the game. But the guy went from Survivor sideshow to center stage with a dominant run on Blood vs. Water, finding two hidden immunity idols, winning the last two individual challenges, and making the biggest strategic move of the game in getting rid of Aras and the couples. He was rewarded...

We're down to the final four plus three Redemption Island inhabitants on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water." Who do you think will take home the money?
Hayden and Ciera tried to move against Tyson, but so far, his alliance has stuck by him. Do you think Gervase, Monica and Tyson can go all the way? If they do, do you agree with us that Tyson would win easily?
It'll be interesting to see who comes back into the game from Redemption and if Monica or Gervase can be swayed to side with whomever that is and Ciera. Who do you think is more likely to flip on Tyson?
Join us here starting at 8 p.m. Et/Pt for a live blog of all the finale festivities.
8:00 -- Don't panic, the episode is delayed six minutes because of NFL football.

Could "Survivor" be heading for an "Aras vs. Vytas" season? I have no inside information, but the dynamic between Aras, the easy-going former "Survivor" winner, and Vytas, his estranged ex-con, recovering addict brother, was one of the dramatic standouts in "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" and it almost seems like a no-brainer for the show to want one or both of the Baskauskas Brothers back in the future. For years, Aras had family "Survivor" bragging rights, but he seemed to indicate that that was only payback for a childhood of bickering a bullying, setting up emotional wounds that were exposed...

Vytas Baskuaskas had his spot seemingly secured for another few days on Survivor: Blood vs. Water. Laura Morett had already won the Redemption Island duel, but he was well ahead of Tina Wesson in the loser-is-eliminated battle. Then he tried to sneak a peek at Laura’s completed puzzle. Then Laura blocked and twirled it so he couldn’t. And then she went one step further, giving Tina the answers so she could get her biggest competition out of the game. It was a savvy strategic move, but a brutal way for Vytas to be handed his proverbial walking papers,...

Favorites to go all the way Vytas Baskauskas and his brother Aras went home in a one-two punch on Survivor: Blood vs. Water in the past two weeks, becoming the first two members of the jury. Now ETonline catches up with Vytas to analyze his thoughts on what he would do differently, and how the show affected his relationship with Aras.
ETonline: If you could go back and play this season again, is there anything you would do differently?
Vytas: Two things. When Brad got voted out early in the game, I had a sense that Caleb wasn’t too happy with him. I didn’t think he was going to pull the crazy move he did at tribal council, but I was aware of his discontent nevertheless. Since Brad was such an important part of my plan moving forward, I should’ve taken time to help mediate that relationship before we went to vote that...

Vytas Baskauskas was the latest "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" castaway sent home from Redemption Island last week on Thanksgiving Eve. He tells Zap2it that he hopes somebody can make a big move against Tyson.
Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? What was the experience like?
"'Survivor' was a dream come true. I've been a fan of the show for a really long time. It was a fantastic experience to get to play the game. I'll remember it forever."
Were you surprised when you tribe turned against you and send you to Redemption with Aras and Tina?
"Hindsight, I'm not suprirised. I was shocked when it happened just because you look at each relationship you have out there and for me, I analyzed each relationship and I counted that we had the majority and I was pretty confident we were good. But some of the relationships I...

Entertainment Weekly: Very interesting dynamic here at the Redemption Island duel as Vytas tries the old copy-off-the-person-that-has-already-finished trick, yet Laura not only spins her stacked cubes so he can’t copy, but also goes all Mom Power and gives the answers to Tina to get the threat of Vytas eliminated. A very sly strategic move to help control the competition you face in the future as you try to get back in the game. Tell me your reaction when you saw this going down.

Our castaways are being fairly dominated by Tyson's game on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," with Ciera even going along with a vote to oust her mother. Can anyone topple Tyson?
Post-Vote
Everyone at Kasama is acting so somber, like Ciera just sentenced her mom to death or something. At Redemption, Laura M is saying how tough it was -- Vytas and Tina are surprised Ciera did it. C'mon guys, it's not that serious.

Redemption Island
Jeff starts things off by saying, "Ciera voted you out of this game. She voted. her mom. out." And Ciera and Laura cry. Again with the melodrama. Stop, you guys. This is getting silly.
Anyway, the challenge is rolling wooden cubes through a rope tunnel, then stacking the cubes so that each side of the four-cube tower has no repeat colors.

It's Thanksgiving week and we're thankful for two things -- first, the above exclusive sneak peek clip of Wednesday night's (Nov. 27) "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" episode, which is all new (not a clip show episode).

Katie: "Every Thanksgiving I'm grateful for family and health and safety. This year more than ever I'm thankful for the opportunities I've been blessed with. Some families aren't even guaranteed a bag of rice for their "tribe" or shelter from natural disasters such as tsunamis. Praying everyone can be grateful for something this year."

Roughly 95 percent of my "Survivor" exit interviews are about unfulfilled castaway dreams and thwarted million dollar ambitions, but once upon a time in a land called Panama, Aras Baskauskas outpointed Danielle Dilorenzo and won the million dollar "Survivor" prize. While returning players on "Survivor" are as common as in-episode cutaways to snakes, there's still some novelty to return appearances by former winners. Sandra Diaz-Twine remains the only two-time winner, but for maybe five moments on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," Aras looked like he might have a chance to join her. Previous Survivor winner and fan favorite Aras Baskauskas lost his Redemption Island battle on Wednesday's Survivor: Blood vs. Water, falling to fellow winner Tina Wesson and his own brother Vytas, and now he's talking to Et about his experience on Survivor the second time around.
ETonline: Let's go back to the blindside. Were you totally shocked when you were voted out?
Aras: I wasn't totally shocked. That day I started to catch on that something was wrong. And I even told medical, I said, 'Man, I have this pit in my stomach, I don't feel good. I'm either getting blindsided or I have a stomach virus.' It was unfortunately not a stomach virus. One of the few times you wish for a stomach virus.
Yeah, I mean, Gervase was short with me, and Monica started to reveal… Now, granted, these things were kind of in the works for many, many days, but...

As a previous winner of Survivor, Aras Baskauskas knew he would be a target when he returned to play Blood vs. Water. But he didn’t see it coming when he was voted out of the tribe a few weeks back. And he certainly didn’t see being betrayed by one of his closest allies in the game — Gervase. Now that he has been eliminated from the game after losing the duel at Redemption Island, Aras called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) this morning to break down how, why, and where it all went wrong.
