Earlier this year, it was revealed that frequent collaborators Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan – who have worked on Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever together as director and cast member, and have other collaborations that Coogler didn’t direct – have been developing a new project in secret. Coogler has written the script for this project, which is being described as both a genre picture and a period piece that Coogler will be directing and Jordan is attached to star in. The project is set up at Warner Bros., is expected to have a budget of around $90 million, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 7, 2025. Coogler has been assembling Jordan’s supporting cast over the last couple of months, and Deadline reports that the latest actor to sign on is Lola Kirke, whose credits include The Leftovers, Gone Girl, American Made, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,...

The new trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ dropped and I gotta be honest it’s been a long time since I was so excited for the MCU release. Judging by everything we’ve seen so far, there are plenty of references and easter eggs hidden in the trailer, so you can only imagine what the final product will look like. Judging on everything it does look like the studio managed to cram all those confirmed (and some of the rumored) cameos in the movie.
Now almost a day since the trailer was released, notable scoopers and leakers are weighing in on those cameos, and two notable names to be included stand out.
First, let’s get the ‘Fantastic Four’ cameo out of the way. MyTimeToShineHello, a leaker with a so-so track record when it comes to legitimate info, shared on X that Chris Evans will be reprising his role and...

“Loki” could conjure up a Best Drama Series nomination this year and give Disney and Marvel representation at this year’s Emmys. The second season of “Loki” continues the journey of Tom Hiddleston‘s titular former villain as he attempts to save the multiverse. Loki traverses the multiverse with the help of Owen Wilson‘s Mobius, Ke Huy Quan‘s Ouroboros, Sophia Di Martino‘s Sylvie, and Wunmi Mosaku‘s Hunter B-15. They are hoping to repair the damage caused to the multiverse during the events of the first season, with Kang (Jonathan Majors) again at the center of the trouble.

It has been known for a while that the new West End production of William Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, will be returning to the Duke of York’s Theatre from May 11 through August 3, with Jamie Lloyd directing. But, more importantly for some fans, it has been confirmed that Spider-Man star Tom Holland will be playing Romeo in the play, with Bad Education star Francesca Amewudah-Rivers co-starring as Juliet. And while all of this seems fine and dandy to us, some people are dissatisfied with the fact that Juliet will be played by a black actress and have taken to the Internet to express their anger in the most deplorable way.
The young actress has, thus, been the target of significant racial slander and abuse recently, which is an act that has to be condemned immediately. The producers, as well as some of Rivers’ colleagues, were quick to react,...

TV is not looking too shabby this week, not too shabby at all. BBC One has the second series of excellent Belfast-set crime drama Blue Lights, all episodes of which are available to stream on iPlayer now. Over on Netflix is excellent seven-part drama Baby Reindeer, an uncomfortably honest dramatisation of creator Richard Gadd’s real-life experience of being stalked. On Prime Video, there’s Fallout, which continues The Last of Us‘ trend of being a videogame-to-tv adaptation that’s actually, you know, good. Also on Netflix is moody, intoxicating psychological thriller Ripley, adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr Ripley and starring Andrew Scott.
As well as all that, here’s a big look ahead to the new British drama coming up in 2024 and a whisper in your ear to watch Wunmi Mosaku in creepy new Brit mystery Passenger on ITV1, which is well worth a look.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino joined Deadline’s Contenders TV event Saturday to discuss set design, character motivations and the potential future of the Disney+ series beyond Season 2.
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to churn out box office hits, it’s hard to believe that Hiddleston’s star-making turn as the celestial trickster brother to the hammer-wielding god Thor started well over a decade ago.
“I’ve absolutely loved playing Loki; it’s been 15 years, and it is the most magnificent and emotional roller coaster for the twists and turns,” Hiddleston said. “He has so much range and so much complexity, it never feels like [I’m playing] the same thing. But I know the reason I’m standing here in front of you today is that the audience has such curiosity and passion for and a connection to him.”

Warning: binge-watchers only. Contains major spoilers for ITV1’s Passenger.
As Passenger’s Riya (Wunmi Mosaku) says in her 40th birthday party speech at The Dog and Duck, life hasn’t gone quite as she’d hoped. Five years ago, Riya left her job and spacious city apartment to move in with her husband and his mother-in-law in the remote Lancashire town of Chadder Vale, where the most exciting crimes to investigate involve stolen wheelie bins. Her husband soon legged it to Spain with his mum Sue’s carer, leaving Riya alone in a tiny terraced house to look after Sue.
Sue Goodheart (Clare Burt) isn’t well. She’s paranoid and hallucinates, phones Riya roughly 20 times a day, and has to be administered specialist medication for her degenerative condition. But as the Passenger finale shows in the briefest of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments, there’s a very good reason for all that.

Twin Peaks. Sunnydale. Castle Rock. Hawkins… America’s TV monopoly on small towns where Weird Stuff Happens has gone on for too long. Comedic and sinister with a terrific cast led by Loki’s Wunmi Mosaku, Passenger, from the producers of Gangs of London and Chernobyl, is a top binge-watch that’ll keep you entertained and guessing – hopefully into a second series and beyond.

There is no such thing as a perfect movie.
No matter how integral a certain film may be to the history of cinema, no matter how widely beloved it might be by a mass audience, and no matter how politically and sociologically relevant it may have been to the modern world, there is always an error, a nitpick, an omission, or a production problem that can be included. No work of art is going to be 100% unassailable, largely because a wide swath of humanity will be able to see it, and no two people are going to feel exactly the same way about it.
In modern parlance, the closest critics and audiences may be able to come to a measurable consensus is the approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The way Rotten Tomatoes works: professional critics, writing for a broad gallery of approved outlets, submit a review to Rt, selecting it to be "fresh" or "rotten.

Actor Andrew Buchan makes his screenwriting debut with ITV thriller Passenger, and here’s the trailer.
Andrew Buchan is probably best known for playing grieving father Mark Latimer in Chris Chibnall’s whodunnit Broadchurch. He has also played the title role in drama The Fixer, as well as parts in films like Nowhere Boy, All The Money In The World and The Mercy.
He now makes his screenwriting debut with ITV thriller Passenger.
The synopsis reads as follows:
Riya (Loki star Wunmi Mosaku) arrived in the quiet town of Chadder Vale five years ago and has since been searching for something, anything that will make her feel alive again. Then one night local girl Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) mysteriously disappears. The town barely has time to register her absence before she reappears the next day, apparently safe and sound. The townsfolk ask few questions and normal life resumes. But for Riya,...

Note: This story contains spoilers from the “Loki” Season 2 finale.
By the end of “Loki” Season 2, the God of Mischief has mastered his timeslipping abilities and transformed into the God of Stories, sitting at the center of Yggdrasil, the World Tree of Norse mythology that gives structure to the universe and supports the 9 realms of existence.
During the finale, viewers watch as the Marvel-villian-turned-antihero spends centuries using his newfound power to try to change the outcome of the Temporal Loom exploding. Given the fact that this ability theoretically allows the Asgardian to revisit any point in time, it begs the question, would he try to change his shocking death in the 2018 film “Avengers: Infinity War”?
“My instinctive response is he would be tempted, but he would choose not to go back there and change the outcome,” actor Tom Hiddleston told TheWrap. “[Loki has] arrived at where he is because of...

Loki season 2 has come to an end with the titular villain-turned-hero taking his place as the God of Stories and becoming the guardian of the Temporal Loom a.k.a the threads of the entire multiverse. Whereas Loki’s first season assured fans that the show and its cast of characters would be returning for another round, season 2 ended with no such promises. Now we’re left to wonder when or if we’ll get to see the Tva and its merry band of misfits again.
So far, the powers that be aren’t ready to fully confirm or deny whether or not we’ll get a third season of Loki, but one of the show’s producers Kevin Wright has said that “season one and season two [of Loki] were always conceived as two chapters of the same book. We want to close...

Will There Be Loki Season 3? Well, After Phase 5’s Loki season 2 was released, fans are wondering if there will be a season 3 to continue the God of Mischief’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Tom Hiddleston has been playing Loki since 2011, starting as a villain in Thor but evolving into a crucial hero in the Multiverse Saga.
The ending of Loki season 2 brings a satisfying conclusion to his redemptive story in a grand way. Despite Loki’s popularity, there are questions about whether he will return in future Marvel movies or TV shows.
The events in season 2 seem to mark the end of Loki’s time as the main character, raising doubts about the possibility of a season 3.
Fans are curious about what has been said regarding a potential season 3 and if there are story elements in season 2 that could leave room for more adventures. So, keep reading...

Warning: This article contains spoilers for all time, always for the season 2 finale of "Loki."
Of all the shocking twists and turns thrown at viewers during the season finale (and dare I say series finale?) of "Loki," few could've been as surprising as the one that the writers dropped in the waning moments of the hour. After six relentless episodes filled with timelines collapsing and multiverse-threatening chaos, the ending snaps into place when Loki heroically sacrifices himself and finds true fulfillment as the new keeper of the timelines. This allows the rest of the show's ensemble cast of characters to settle into a new status quo, one where the Time Variance Authority no longer needs to prune branches with extreme prejudice and those who wish to live their lives on the sacred timeline are now free to do so. But before Mobius (Owen Wilson) makes his fateful choice, we're treated...

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the season 2 finale of "Loki."
For six whole episodes, fans have had to wait with baited breath to see how the Kang-sized shadow at the center of "Loki" season 2 might complicate an already unenviable and possibly untenable situation. Ever since the news first came down that actor Jonathan Majors had been accused of assault, both Marvel Studios and the moviegoing public alike have remained in a state of suspended animation. Obviously, nothing is more important than the safety of the alleged victim and ensuring that nobody in Majors' circles is ever put at risk. (The assault case, which a judge refused to dismiss despite the attempts of Majors' legal team, will move to trial on November 29, 2023.) From a business perspective, however, the choice to gamble practically the entirety of the next phase on the threat of Kang looks worse and worse in retrospect.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki loved playing a slippery trickster until he started literally slipping through time inside the Time Variance Authority. After the twists and turns of Season 1 of the Marvel character’s eponymous Disney+ series, “Loki” returned for a second season on Oct. 5 — and oh how time flies, the season is already coming to an end.
The Marvel series, starring Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Ravonna Renslayer and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, sets a precedent as the first MCU TV show to return for a second season on Disney+. Marvel’s last television project to hit the streamer was “Secret Invasion.”
Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan joins the MCU as “Ob,” whom Mobius and Loki consult for the time-slipping problem, but though Ob knows what is happening and has seen it before, he does not have a solution for the pair.

Phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have had some pretty intimidating villains thus far. From Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) and his plans to take over the Earth for all Skrulls to Wenwu (Tony Leung) and his ancient rings of power to He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and the threat of his variants, the stakes of the Multiverse Saga have been just as formidable to overcome as Thanos and those who came before. But there’s one Loki villain who might just have them all beat – the sentient A.I. clock we all know as Miss Minutes (Tara Strong).
Now stay with me here. I’m not saying that Miss Minutes is necessarily the strongest or most powerful villain. What I’m saying is that she is by far the most ruthless, sadistic, and terrifying villain we’ve seen thus far in the Multiverse Saga,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Loki, Season 2, Episode 5, “Science Fiction.”] Loki‘s second season delivered its most mind-bending episode yet as the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) was forced to solve a seemingly insolvable problem, which was to control his time slipping. After Episode 4’s cliffhanger, which saw Loki and the team fail to repair the broken loom, keeping the various timelines under control, Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) was spaghettified in an explosive flare-up, suggesting the end was nigh. But Loki finds himself transported in Episode 5, alone in the Tva; he loops back to himself before time-slipping out of the space that’s beginning to spaghettify around him. He ends up traveling in and out of various timelines, crossing paths with Mobius (Owen Wilson), who is a jetski salesman; Don, O.B. (Ke Huy Quan), who is a sci-fi writer and Ph.D. qualified scientist; Casey (Eugene Cordero) who is an Alcatraz escapee, and Hunter...

This means that Mobius (Owen Wilson), Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku), and even Casey (Eugene Cordero) all have past lives and personalities that have been suppressed and kept a secret for as long as they can remember. That is, until the Temporal Loom collapses and everyone is forced back to their original timeline. Of the lives we get to see in season 2 episode 5 “Science/Fiction,” most aren’t far off from their Tva counterparts. Casey’s true identity, however, is a bit surprising.

One of the largest looming threats in Loki season 2, aside from the potential return of Kang variants, has been the impending explosion of the Temporal Loom and the potential destruction of the Tva. The loom has become overloaded with branching timelines since the Tva stopped pruning variants beyond the “sacred” one. In the aftermath of He Who Remains’ (Jonathan Majors) death, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius (Owen Wilson) have enlisted Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan), Casey (Eugene Cordero), and B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) to help repair the timeline without sacrificing the billions of variants that live on these multiplying branches.
In episode 4 “Heart of the Tva,” Loki and Mobius have finally gathered the missing ingredient needed to repair the Temporal Loom – the temporal aura of Kang variant Victor Timely. Loki Season 2 Episode 4
“I promise you this will make sense.” Loki says those words to Sylvie, who just watched him prune another Loki in front of her. But Tom Hiddleston delivers the lines directly at the camera, as if speaking directly to the viewers.
And it is a necessary word of comfort, because Loki season two blows things up in a big way, perhaps even more so than the season one finale. Written by Eric Martin and Kathryn Blair and directed by showrunners Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, “Heart of the Tva” features a lot of running around and shouting technobabble, but it feels more earned than the other times its happened in the previous two episodes.
Even before Victor Timely moves toward the temporal loom and promptly explodes (“Time to recast Kang?” many internet commenters wondered at once), there’s a sense of finality to the episode,...

The opening credits sequence of Scavengers Reign is heavy with doom, with images of the Demeter, an interstellar freighter whose wreckage orbits an alien planet, dissonantly set to peaceful classical music. Bodies float in the vacuum of space, escape pods burn up in the atmosphere, and the leaping flames of a sun hint at the cause of the disaster. It’s a perfect encapsulation of the series that follows, a superb survival story depicting both the planet’s natural beauty and the violent, horrible ends it can visit upon the people who encounter it.
Rendered in a detailed 2D style by the prolific animation studio Titmouse, each of the show’s 12 half-hour episodes cuts between multiple perspectives. After all, the Demeter’s few survivors are scattered in different terrestrial environments, unaware of one another’s existence, and the series delights in foregrounding their often ingenious use of the local ecosystem to survive.

Actor Tom Hiddleston is making his return as Loki in the second season of his eponymous show ‘Loki S2’. This time, the Norse God of Mischief has found himself a new family with the Time Variance Authority (Tva).
Speaking on this, the ‘Crimson Peak’ actor said: “One of the things we talked about is how Loki always struggled with family in the MCU, but he’s found a new family in the Tva, and he’s found, in its breakdown, an understanding of himself.”
He further added: “Having his sense of self opened up, broken down, and rebuilt by Mobius and his colleagues at the Tva, and also his connection with Sylvie, there’s a new capacity, a new awareness to make connections with other people.”
“He realises that those connections are all that matter in the end, and they’re connections that he wants to preserve. But now the stakes are higher.

During the opening scene of this week’s Loki, the God of Mischief and his Tva analyst Bff Mobius (Owen Wilson) travel back in time to capture the slimy Brad Wolfe (Rafael Casal), a Tva hunter and variant who has absconded to a past point on the Sacred Timeline to build the life he never got to have as a 70s movie star.
At the premiere of his latest film, Zaniac, Loki and Mobius roll up to the red carpet, but not before passing a range of posters advertizing upcoming feature presentations, one of which happens to star Kumail Nanjiani’s Bollywood actor Kingo from Eternals!

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Loki."
Who figured that an episode beginning with the impossibly silly visuals of a Time Variance Authority agent, Hunter X-5 (Rafael Casal), living it up on the Sacred Timeline as a world-famous actor in a "Zaniac" movie would end on the incredibly dark note of countless innocent universes -- pretty much all the ones that were created in the wake of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie's (Sophia Di Martino) actions in the "Loki" season 1 finale -- wiped out of existence? The unfathomable death toll can only be remarked upon in hushed tones, specifically by Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) as she and the rest of the cast helplessly mourn the loss of all those individuals. "Those are people," she chokes out. "Those are lives."
How many, exactly? Well, there's no accounting for such grisly business ... but, in terms of where...
