Four years ago, Arkane Studios sent a ripple through the gaming world with the release of Dishonored, its brilliant, addictive and incredibly immersive steampunk stealth/action game. Now, following a re-release in remastered form, the series is back for another jaunt through Dunwall and its adjoining lands in the much-anticipated Dishonored 2.
Instead of picking up where its predecessor left off, Dishonored 2 does something different and takes us fifteen years into the future. It’s there where a now adult Emily Kaldwin rests assuredly atop her late mother’s throne, under careful protection from her father, Corvo Attano.
The game’s nine mission and approximately ten hour-long campaign picks up on a sacred day, during which both roses and ceremony are used to pay tribute to Dunwall’s former empress, Jessamine Kaldwin. Meant as a day of remembrance and respect, it’s a long-standing tradition that has gone uninterrupted for years.

While Fallout 4 is cranking out Dlc they are always making patches and fixes to improve the experience for its players. One of the best features was just how many names Codsworth voice actor Stephen Russell says in the game. Seriously listen to how many.
Well next week there’s going to be a lot more added Bethesda will be launching an update adding 300 more names to Codsworth’s lexicon. And some redditors out there have already cracked the list. Check out the list here. Now this update will be launched next week on Xbox One but there is yet to be a date announced for PS4. Now go make Codsworth say John Cena!!!!!

We're Doomed: The Dad's Army Story is touching, humorous and ultimately heartwarming piece of television...
New Dad’s Army casts are like buses: you wait ages for one to come along, and then when two turn up at once they don’t like it up ‘em. While it’s never been far from the public consciousness, the sitcom about the Home Guard of Walmington-on-Sea seems to have experienced a surge in popularity over the last few years, with repeats on BBC Two having become a Saturday night staple - only a few weeks ago, it was the programme with the highest Appreciation Index for the whole of a Saturday which included Strictly, The X Factor, I’m A Celeb and the Doctor Who finale. And with the new Dad’s Army film starring Toby Jones and Bill Nighy set for release in February, it’s the perfect...

As promised, Eidos Montreal has released the official debut trailer for Thief, which gives us a very cinematic glimpse at how next generation console sneaking and stealing will look during cutscenes. Unfortunately, the trailer features a distinct lack of candle snuffing gameplay, however, a very chatty Garrett does point out all the necessary ingredients to pull off “the perfect heist”.
The Thief announcement trailer opens up with Garrett (who appears to be voiced by someone not named Stephen Russell) preparing his equipment for a heist. Once out on the darkened city streets, Garrett spots his target — an expensive jeweled necklace resting on the neck of a wealthy woman — and follows its owner and her heavily armored bodyguard to a large mansion. The master thief then sneaks past guards and breaks into the house’s creepy, bird cage-filled, attic (because that is apparently where all rich women keep their valuables). In short order,...

"One of the most fascinating and entertaining asides in British cinema, Sabu is just meta-colonial enough to maintain relevance," writes Joseph Jon Lanthier in Slant, wrapping his review of the 30th package in Criterion's Eclipse series, Sabu!
Michael Koresky on Sabu's debut: "The seeds of Elephant Boy were sown in 1929, when [Robert] Flaherty, famous for his groundbreaking 1922 Eskimo documentary, Nanook of the North, approached Alexander Korda about doing a story, set in Mexico, about a boy and his bull. Korda wanted to work with Flaherty but changed the bull to an elephant, basing his idea on his favorite Kipling tale. When production began years later, Flaherty shot more than 55 hours of footage in India; meanwhile, Zoltán Korda was commissioned to direct the more story-driven scenes at England's Denham Studios, for which Sabu was flown in. What could have been a schizophrenic film instead became a masterful amalgamation of its two parts,...

Nostalgic retellings of the lives of Tony Hancock, Kenneth Williams, and Eric & Ernie have been ratings winners, but fictionalised accounts can land the Beeb in hot water
Ooh, I say. How's the harness?" We're four minutes and 58 seconds into BBC4's Hattie and the biopic cliche klaxon is primed to emit its first parp of distress. Plonked amid the bustle of a busy panto rehearsal, Eric Sykes (played, somewhat disconcertingly, by Graham Fellows) winces in sympathy as co-star Hattie Jacques (Ruth "Nessa" Jones), squeezes her fairy princess-costumed frame into some manner of hoist. Mugging gamely ("Lucky I'm not planning on having any more children …") Jacques is hoisted swiftly over the empty stage, her matronly limbs swishing in time to the soundtrack's plinky-twinkly piano. Then, inevitably – vzzzzznnng! – the mechanism fizzles to a halt. As offscreen lackeys scramble with levers and pulleys, Jacques is left to dangle pinkly in mid-air, a vision...

In Hollywood these days, it is all about the marketing. Create a buzz-worthy trailer, maybe let it leak or show it at Comic-Con, and then let fan enthusiasm work its magic. As we've seen over the past few years, this formula doesn't always lead to success (just look at "The Last Airbender" or "Watchmen" for proof), but it does give us the opportunity to get boatloads of amazing trailers year round, and 2010 was definitely no exception.
With the end of the year quickly approaching, we're sentimentally reflecting on all our favorite film-related things of 2010 here at MTV Movies Blog... and it seems only fair that we round up our list of the top 10 trailers of 2010. Some of the films have yet to be released, some came out so long ago we almost forgot that they debuted this year, but all of them are guaranteed awesome. Check out our list (and...

I Love You, Phillip Morris co-directors John Requa (left) and Glenn Ficcara (right)
attend the film's Paris premiere with stars Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey
Given that I Love You, Philip Morris is one of the gayest high profile movies ever made, it would be easy to assume that gay men must somehow behind its journey to the big screen. After all, it took Gus Van Sant, Dustin Lance Black, Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks to get Milk, another passion project, made after years of work.
But that isn’t the case with I Love You, Philip Morris. It is actually two straight men – Glenn Ficarra and John Requa – who fell in love with the story and then persevered long enough to not only get the movie made, but to finally find a U.S. distributor so American audiences could see a love story about a gay con man and the love of his life.

Just three weeks after giving birth to second son Abel James on Aug. 6, Amy Poehler wowed in a pale blue Max Azria gown and Stephen Russell jewels at the 2010 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles last night. “We had a baby boy,” the actress told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. “I’m squeezin’ it in tonight, but we’re making it happen!”
Not only was the Parks and Recreation star nominated for lead actress in a comedy series, but she was celebrating her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Will Arnett. We love her simple, but glam new mommy look.

They’re both funny in their own right and putting Amy Poehler and Will Arnett on the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet together was hilarious.
The “Blades of Glory” costars/real-life married couple looked outstanding as they arrived at the Nokia Theatre La Live for the star-studded evening.
Ms. Poehler was glamorous in a Max Azria dress teamed with half a million dollars in swanky jewelry by Stephen Russell.
Making the night extra special (besides Amy’s Emmy nomination for ‘Parks and Recreation’) was the fact that Amy and Will were celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary.

A late-summer sunset with vibrant purple, red and blue gowns dominated the horizon at the 62nd Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. One-shoulder silhouettes, updos and bold jewelry also were big trends.Lea Michele, a fairly new player to the red-carpet frenzy, nailed it in a very grown-up navy Oscar de la Renta gown with a strapless neckline and ruffled mermaid bottom."I wanted to do blue . I've done black and green," Michele said. "I was ready for blue to be the color, and I love Oscar de la Renta so when I saw this, it was like he read my mind."This could have been a too-mature look for Michele, but her youthful energy was her best accessory, said Lawrence Zarian, of TV Guide Network's Fashion Team.Michele is petite, noted Karla Martinez, fashion market director for W magazine, but the silhouette of her gown accentuated her shape just right.

This year's Golden Globes had some surprise winners and losers, and it had just the same on the red carpet. While some stars went sleek and chic, others hid under big frumpy ruffles. But while most everyone looked jaw-droppingly stunning, the accessory they nearly add had in common was a small ribbon remembering the tragedy in Haiti. So while some stars might find themselves on Cns' Picks for the Worst Dressed List, there's bigger problems to worry about.
