Emma Roberts and AnnaSophia Robb are attached to star in the music-driven romance drama "Anything But Ordinary" which is being developed as both a book and film by Alloy Entertainment and Southpaw Entertainment says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a 17-year-old diving champion who suffers a tragic accident during her final Olympic trials. Its considered a miracle when she awakes from a coma five years later, but she has become a synesthete - someone who processes words and numbers through color, the third dimension and sound.
Sanaa Hamri is attached to direct while Charlie Craig wrote the original story and the screenplay, which Liz Garcia and Lisa Barrett polished. Richard Lewis will produce while Lara Avary will pen the book.

Emma Roberts and AnnaSophia Robb are going to play characters that appear in both a book and on the big screen. THR reports that they have been cast in a music-driven love story titled Anything But Ordinary from Alloy Entertainment and Southpaw Entertainment. The drama is being directed by Sanaa Hamri (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2) from an original story and screenplay by Charlie Craig. The story was also worked on by Liz Garcia and Lisa Barrett.
Richard Lewis of Southpaw, which originated the project, will be producing. Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein will serve as exec producer on the project that is being put together independently. The book already has a home at Hyperion, who bought the project at auction from Alloy. Lara Avary is making her debut as an author with this book.
