- Julie Jones graduated from Augusta State University in the Fall of 2004 as a double major in both English Literature and Theatre. While attending ASU, her most memorable performances were Hannah in Arcadia and Veta Louise Simmons in Harvey. She also wrote, directed, and starred in her first play 499 Seats. Her last semester was spent in New York City working for Bernard Telsey Casting (now Telsey + Company) on shows such as Hairspray, Wicked, Rent, and Wedding Singer and the feature film Carlito's Way: Rise to Power for which she received a credit as casting assistant. She also studied acting under the direction of actor John Gould Rubin. While completing her Masters at Georgia Southern University, Julie performed the role of Jocasta in Oedipus the King in Thessaloniki, Greece and then reprised the role at Augusta State in the Fall of 2006. After graduation she began teaching at ASU where she wrote and directed her second show Cattle Call in the 2008 theatre festival. Julie's only ventures into musical theatre occurred recently when she directed Oklahoma! with the music department at ASU and onstage as the Queen in Storyland's production of Sleeping Beauty. Her last role with Storyland was the sword fighting title character in The Courtship of Senorita Florabella in January 2009. In the fall of 2009 she played The Grand Duchess Olga Katrina in You Can't Take it With You.
