Greg Reid was instilled with a musical and performing upbringing at an
early age. He found solace in acting and performing stand-up comedy
after studying drama and jazz music in his hometown at Long Beach
Polytechnic H.S..
After a brief career in professional baseball, Greg has since immersed
himself in every facet of Hollywood from national commercials and
print, to television and films. While studying improvisation at the LA
based Groundings Theater, Greg took his comedic to the stage on many of
Los Angeles and Hollywood's hottest comedy clubs including the
Hollywood Improv, Comedy Store and Ice House Comedy clubs.
After his numerous guest TV appearances on top shows like,
The Young and the Restless (1973),The Practice (1997)
and CSI: Miami (2002), Greg
decided to further channel his comedic talents toward writing and
directing. As a writer, he contributed to monologue and sketch material
for the late night talk show,
The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show (1997)
and most recently the Asian pop-culture show,
BPM: Beats Per Mnet (2011).
He has since written and directed multiple film projects including the
award winning The Last Guy (2006),
(Microsoft/Old Spice Film Festival and the NATPE 2006 Semi-Finalist-
Jury Prize) as well as _"The Ultimate Weapon" (2007)_ (Assassins Creed
and IFC Channel) and the brand integrated show, _"The Comedy Blips"
(2011)_ for ColoursTV Network [us]. He is currently creating and
developing multiple television and film projects.
