Brian Wiley(I)
- Cinematographer
- Camera and Electrical Department
Brian Wiley was born and raised in the inner city of Dayton, Ohio. The
once prosperous and industrious city of Brian's childhood would undergo
a deep recession in the 1980s paired with an epidemic of crack cocaine
abuse. These times would always remind Brian of how bad things could
be. Brian joined the Navy mainly to get away from bad influences and
get funding for college. After his military service, he earned an A.A.
from Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida.
During his time in Florida, the electronic music and dance scene of Central Florida heavily influenced Brian. He would move on to such places as Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, and eventually to Denver. While in Denver, Brian worked with performance artists, gymnasts, dancers, and musicians to create a company that would explore non-traditional ways to unite in performance. Though this company ended up dissolving, Brian will always remember and strive for the vision.
Brian has three classes left to finish his B.F.A in film production from the University of Colorado at Denver. Brian interned at a Denver documentary production house called Little Voice Productions. He has worked on mostly independent video and film projects including writing, directing, production and post sound, and editing. Brian is currently in the preproduction phase for a documentary film about the Central Florida music and dance scene from 1988-1995 with the central focus around a revolutionary nightclub called Aahz.
