Marvel Comics' "Black Cat Annual" #1, now available, in support of Sony Pictures developing "Black Cat" feature film, is written by Jed MacKay and illustrated by Joey Vazquez, Natacha Bustos and Juan Gedeon, with covers by J. Scott Campbell and Todd Nauck:
"...'Felicia Hardy', is the daughter of 'Walter Hardy, a world-renowned 'cat burglar'. It’s not easy being the greatest female icon in the history of American comic books but, even after more than seven decades on the job, the Amazon princess they call Wonder Woman handles that burden with noble grace and singular determination.
That’s one way to interpret the striking, just-released cover artwork for the upcoming, 96-page, prestige-format, 750th issue of Wonder Woman from Burbank-based publisher DC Comics. The milestone issue will hit shelves at brick-and-mortar retailers on January 22, the same day it lands on the virtual spinner racks of online retailers.
The image evokes the Hellenic imagery of mighty Atlas hefting the world on his Titan shoulder and it was illustrated by Catwoman writer/artist Joëlle Jones, just one of the many DC stars who made contributions to commemorative issue.
Announced interior artists include Colleen Doran, Jesus Merino, Elena Casagrade, Gabriel Picolo, and Wonder Woman Rebirth illustrator Nicola Scott.

That was announced a few months, now we've learned that Umair Aleem has been hired to write the script for the movie. Aleem hasn't really done much. He's a newbie, who is developing a few other projects as well including a Netflix film called Kate, which centers on "a veteran hitwoman who is mysteriously poisoned on her last assignment in Tokyo, and who has 24 hours to track down her killer before she dies."
I hope Aleem is able to deliver a great script for Danger Girl. The movie is a top priority for the studio and as a fan, I'd hate to see it end up being a mediocre movie, which could very well happen with the wrong creative team.
