Film is based on book by Isa Hoes about her relationship with actor Antonie Kamerling, who died in 2010.

The film, directed by Ben Verbong and starring Egbert-Jan Weeber and Noortje Herlaar, will be released in the Netherlands by Dfw’s parent company Dutch FilmWorks on 100 screens in early March.

Doha, Nov 21 (Ians) Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has sounded a battle cry ahead of his side’s debut in the 2022 World Cup finals later on Monday, saying he believes his team can lift the title that has always eluded them.
The Dutch were runners-up to Germany in 1974 and to Argentina in 1978. They were beaten by Andres Iniesta’s injury time goal for Spain in South Africa in 2010.
Van Gaal led the Dutch to third place in the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, with a team that included players such as Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder, but in his press conference ahead of Monday’s game against Senegal, the coach insisted his current side is better, reports Xinhua.
This Netherlands team is led by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and also includes Fc Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong and Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.

With every passing year, the release of FIFA feels more and more like an event. Soccer’s real-life stars line up to talk about their in-game rating, to inspect their Fut cards and to emphasize their love of the brand. All the time, the line is being blurred between the sport we enact on our screens, and the real sport itself.
In FIFA 18, that’s never more evident than in the return of The Journey, the story of eighteen-year-old sensation Alex Hunter, now in his second season of professional football. Over the course of six chapters, EA unrolls the red carpet for its famous supporting cast who are faithfully motion-captured for their starring bow. From Ronaldo to Muller to Griezmann and a certain Gunners legend, the A-listers join Alex on a globetrotting adventure that feels like a big high-five to soccer itself.

Every year FIFA is released to a clamour from fans demanding to know who the best players in the game are. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, Arjen Robben and goalkeeping phenomenon Manuel Neuer all find themselves in the 90+ ratings club for FIFA 16, but aim lower in Ultimate Team and you’ll find the real gems.
Everybody expects the world’s elite to be the best in the game, it’s obvious, and because of that, their Ut prices will fly upwards. But don’t even think about blowing all of your cash on one of those players in the opening, inflated stages, instead you should seek out the pace merchants and physical beasts who have garnered immense online reputations.

Gareth Bale isn’t having a great time of it at present. Over midway through his second season after completing a world transfer record move to Real Madrid and the cracks are starting to appear in the relationship between player and club. It was a strong debut season for Bale at Los Blancos. He scored 22 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions. His brilliant individual run and finish helped overcome Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey final. A headed goal in the Champions League final against fierce city rivals Atletico helped secure Real their long targeted La Decima. Yet much like a musician’s oft quoted difficult second album, there appears little chance of repeating his heroics a second time around.
A succession of embarrassing defeats and insipid performances the season after has soured the post-honeymoon period for Bale and Real alike, culminating in a defeat to fierce rivals Barcelona that...

Chelsea seem to have developed a reputation as something of a careless conveyor belt of talent, employing a host of under-pressure managers who will attempt to solve any tactical problem with yet another big-money splurge in the transfer market. Most reckon that the club are actually quite foolish in their transfer policies and not only do they spend vast amounts of cash on unproven and risky talent, but they actually let numerous players slip through their fingers before their prime.
The likes of Arjen Robben, Juan Mata and most recently, Romelu Lukaku, had onlookers up in arms at Chelsea’s ‘naive’ transfer policy. On closer inspection, however, it would appear that the club knows what it is doing when it comes to letting players go. While letting the devilishly devastating Dutchman go was a mistake, there have been a plethora of players whose...

Chelsea fans have seen some amazing names join the club over the past decade. Stars like Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, Arjen Robben and Ashley Cole have ensured Chelsea are now considered one of the top clubs in Europe
Mourinho is now in charge of what could potentially be the best squad since 2004 complete with striker Diego Costa, who is scoring goals for fun and picking up many fans while doing it. Others such as Cesc Fabregas have been such a hit, that Chelsea are considered one of the favourites for the title this season along with Manchester City.
The club is currently home to some of the world’s best players, but not everyone has lived up to their full potential. Since Roman Abramovich took over in 2003, Chelsea have spent over £750M on transfer fees, a staggering figure that would suggest the quest for trophies would...

When Louis Van Gaal took over at Manchester United, it was somewhat expected that the Dutchman would plunder his international squad to bring some of the best players to Old Trafford and kick off the rejuvenation project needed after last season’s disaster. Sadly for United fans, mooted moves for Arjen Robben, Ron Vlaar, Jordie Clasie and Memphis Depay have so far amounted to nothing.
But there may be cause for celebration in Manchester again as one of Holland’s most bruising enforcers is apparently in talks over a €10m move from AC Milan. That would represent a significantly impressive coup, considering De Jong’s pedigree, but it’s not surprising considering the state of Milan’s finances currently.
According to Goal, United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward met with up with the defensive midfielder’s epresentatives in London yesterday to discuss a move.

Chelsea are a club used to getting what they want. Ever since the £140 million take-over by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich in 2003, money has not been an object for the London outfit, one of English football’s most profligate sides of the 21st century.
Abramovich’s well-thumbed chequebook has been used to persuade some of the world’s best players to join the Stamford Bridge revolution over the past decade, with the likes of Arjen Robben, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and more recently Diego Costa pulling on a Blue jersey.
The players they have signed has understandably made all the back pages of the Sunday tabloids, with Abramovich signing no fewer than 89 players as a cost of £905 million since his takeover. But it’s the players he didn’t sign that get the less publicity.

It was always likely to happen wasn’t it? Van Gaal ends his tenure with the Netherlands national team at the World Cup and then an influx of Dutch players are linked to Manchester United the minute he steps into the role at Old Trafford.
The latest player to be connected with joining the imposing manager’s new club is the impressive 22-year old Stefan De Vrij from Feyenoord for a reported fee of £10m.
De Vrij, who started every game for Van Gaal in Brazil and also scored in their famous victory over Spain, could be the perfect replacement for former captain Nemanja Vidic as Manchester United begin their new assault to get back into the Champions League this season.
The young centre back scored four goals for Feyenoord last season and could relish a role in the Premier league possibly alongside Mats Hummels, who...

Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has been linked with a move to Manchester United recently, but should the Red Devils sign the 30-year-old?
Robben is enjoying an impressive World Cup at present with the Holland national side, and is the tournament’s sixth-highest goalscorer – level with compatriot Robin van Persie with three goals.
Will he line up alongside van Persie at Old Trafford next season?
The Red Devils have just appointed Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal as their new boss following David Moyes’s disastrous reign, and Lvg knows the player well.
It was van Gaal who brought Robben to current club Bayern in 2009, signing him from Real Madrid, and the duo spent two years together at the Allianz Arena, winning the Bundesliga, Dfb-Pokal and Dfb-Supercup in 2010.
And the new United manager “is desperate” to be reunited with Robben at the Theatre of Dreams next season,...

The super-rich Russian oligarch has used his well-thumbed chequebook to bring some of the world’s greatest players to SW6, from Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole through to Fernando Torres and Andriy Shevchenko.
And, just as there has been a managerial merry-go-round with nine different bosses in ten years, so too has many a player come and gone, sometimes not for the better.
Whether they were turfed out, fell out with the manager or just simply opted for a different career path, here we take a look at 10 Players Who Probably Regret Leaving Chelsea.

As the group stage comes to a close and Friday sees a break in play for the first time since the tournament started just over a fortnight ago, speculation really starts to begin about who might be lifting that famous World Cup trophy on July the 13th.
The round of 16 matches are now confirmed and look like this:
Brazil Vs Chile
Netherlands Vs Mexico
Colombia Vs Uruguay
Costa Rica Vs Greece
France Vs Nigeria
Argentina Vs Switzerland
Germany Vs Algeria
Belgium Vs USA
With a number of high profile teams eliminated in the first round – Spain, Italy, Portugal and England, for example – a surprisingly small number of those teams who were considered pre-tournament favourites remain.
Brazil, Netherlands, France, Argentina and Germany are surely the only teams left who people thought had any kind of realistic chance of winning the World Cup, pre-tournament, but a...

A repeat of the 2010 World Cup final, the Netherlands will be hoping to claim some revenge on World Cup holders Spain and cause them some trouble in a group that is one of the most competitive in the tournament.
It's likely to be a much cagier affair than the final of 2010 - don't expect the Dutch to be flying in with the kung-fu kicks and rough house tactics this time - and both teams will probably be content with a draw. There's plenty of interest for England fans as the Dutch team line up with van Persie and new Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal in charge.

Manchester United have signed Toni Kroos and now want to reunite him with his Bayern Munich teammate Arjen Robben at Old Trafford next season, according to the Daily Mail.
A £20 million deal for Kroos was agreed while David Moyes was still in charge at the club and now his successor, former Bayern boss Louis van Gaal, has given the green light for the move to go ahead.

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will be handed a £20 million warchest as he looks to make history this summer, according to the Express.
Van Gaal was at last unveiled as United’s new permanent manager yesterday, taking over from the sacked David Moyes with club legend Ryan Giggs being named as his assistant.
And the club’s board will waste no time in handing the Dutchman a massive transfer kitty, with up to £200 million being freed up to transform the Red Devils into Premier League contenders again.
A £27 million bid for Southampton starlet Luke Shaw has reportedly already been made, but van Gaal won’t stop there as he looks to strengthen in all areas.
With Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic leaving the club, Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels is on van Gaal’s radar, as is his Dortmund teammate Marco Reus.

Manchester City will have to cause an unlikely upset and affect a three-goal swing on hosts Bayern Munich to top Champions League Group D.
Both sides have already guaranteed their places in the knockout stages ahead of this clash. Munich need a point to clinch top spot, but boast a fearsome and strong home record.
City lost their only previous visit to the Allianz Arena 2-0 in September 2011 with Mario Gomez bagging a first half brace. Manuel Pellegrini’s team were comprehensively beaten at home by Bayern on matchday two this term with supporting trio Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben all on target.

Bayern Munich picked up a superb victory this evening at the Signal Iduna Park, defeating arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund 3-0.
Former Dortmund man Mario Gotze opened the scoring with a class finish, before Arjen Robben later added a second with a brilliant chip.
Thomas Muller sealed the game late on after some great build-up play, leaving Dortmund off the pace in the Bundesliga.
The big news before kick-off was Mario Gotze, who started on the bench as his Bayern side faced his former employers.
When the team sheets were announced there was a surprise in the form of Manuel Friedrich in the heart of defence, after only being signed as an emergency transfer last week.
The new-look defence looked shaky in the early stages but soon settled into the match as the home side were surged on by the yellow wall.

Goals from Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, and Thomas Muller saw Bayern Munich obliterate Manchester City in a dominant Champions League performance.
The treble-winners opened the scoring after just seven minutes through winger Franck Ribery. The France international cut inside from the left and hit a low drive which beat City ‘keeper Joe Hart at his near post.
The host weren’t given a sniff in the first 45 minutes and went into the break surprised how the deficit was just one goal.
City came out with more tempo in the second-half – winning a succession of corners from good high pressure on the defence. But their bright start to the half wasn’t enough as Bayern doubled their advantage in the 56th minute.
Thomas Muller, who was named as the lone striker for Bayern tonight, broke the offside trap and rounded Hart before tapping into an empty net.

Jose Mourinho is back in the Stamford Bridge hotseat and has instantly resumed his profligate spending habits at Chelsea this summer.
It’s little wonder that the self-styled “Special One” has dusted off his, or rather oligarch owner Roman Abramovich’s chequebook and lavished upwards of £60 million on new players, taking preceding matters into account.
During his first stint in charge of the West Londoners, between 2004-07, the Portuguese manager forked out £225.76 million on the likes of Arjen Robben, Didier Drogba and Andrei Shevchenko.
And it looks like he’s back to his old ways after splashing the cash again during the embryonic stages of his second coming by landing Willian for £30 million as well as the likes of Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel.
All this comes as the Blues go in search of what has become an elusive Premier League title win.

The action continued in the Bundesliga this weekend with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz 05 continuing their 100% record this season.
Dortmund kicked off the weekend’s action on Friday night with a 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen. The home side should’ve won by a larger scoreline but were wasteful in front of goal and relied on Robert Lewandowski’s 56th minute goal to win. Bremen almost shocked the home side late on but a superb save from Weidenfeller ensured the points stayed at the Signal Iduna Park.
Bayer Leverkusen defeated Borussia Monchengladbach by a 4-2 margin to maintain their perfect start to the season. Kiebling’s early penalty gave the home side a lead to defend and they shortly doubled their advantage when Kiebling turned provider and set up Sidney Sam.

During the last 10 t0 15 years football has undergone huge changes throughout the game, from the rise of the use of agents to the influx of foreign players into domestic leagues.
One of the major aspects of the game that has changed the most is the tactical side of the game, particularly how the roles of certain positions on the pitch has changed – how the expectations of a player playing in a particular position has changed. A role that has perhaps undergone the biggest change is that of the wide player.
Prior to the overhaul of football tactics, the wide player played as a winger, and was essentially instructed to run down the line as fast as possible and then produce a good cross for on running team mates to get on the end of and hopefully score. The player didn’t need to possess an excellent football brain as their job was relatively simple.

Following the appointment of the former Barcelona head coach Pep Guardiola by Bayern Munich on the back of his one year break from football it seems a good time to analyse and provide a preview as to how Munich may change from the reign of Jupp Heynckes – a period in which Bayern won the treble.
Under Heynckes Bayern played in a 4-2-3-1 formation with the team often reading as follows: Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Van Buyten, Alaba, Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Robben, Muller, Ribery, Mandzukic. The role of one player in particular in this line-up is very unconventional – this player being Mario Mandzukic. Under Heynckes - Mandzukic didn’t operate as a standard striker in the mould of a Robin Van Persie. In fact his primary duty in the team wasn’t that of a standard striker, he was actually a defensive weapon. Mandzukic effectively operated as a battering ram, by...

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski is set to turn down a move to the Premier League and run down his contract at Borussia Dortmund in hopes he can secure a move to Bayern Munich next summer.
The Polish striker has admitted he wants to leave Dortmund and favours a move to Bundesliga champions but his current club are refusing to sell him to their close domestic rivals.

According to The Sun, Treble-winning side Bayern Munich are interested in unhappy Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
The German side are said to be determined to land the Uruguayan striker this summer and are willing to offer winger Arjen Robben as part of the deal.
Suarez, 26, was in sensational form for The Reds last season, scoring 23 Premier League goals, missing out on tying with Robin van Perise for 2012/13 Golden boot by just three goals.
The clinical striker has put teams on red alert after admitting he is unhappy at Anfield. Suarez has previously hinted at a possible move to Real Madrid this summer:
“I have a contract with Liverpool but it’d be hard to say no to Real Madrid.”
Whilst Suarez might be unhappy at the club, Liverpool have stated that the striker must hand in a written transfer request if he wants to officially leave Anfield this summer.

It may well be something of a cliché, but in this case the old adage rings true. Football moves in cycles.
Following Bayern Munich’s terrifying dismantling of a Barcelona side often vaunted as the world’s best ever club side in the Champions League semi-final and subsequent victory in the final against domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund every man and his dog have been falling over themselves in an effort to become the first to proclaim the demise of Barca and announce the dawning of a new age, the Bayern age.
Bayern’s soon to be departed coach Jupp Heynckes seems to have struck upon the notion that, yes, often diminutive playmakers are experts at implementing a tiki-taka passing style to great effect, but in many cases bigger, more powerful players can be just as, if not more effective playing a passing game complete with a physical advantage.

Bayern Munich will once more be without centre back Holger Badstuber for Saturday’s Champions League Final against Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund. The German has been sidelined since December.
Daniel Van Buyten and Jerome Boateng have been rotated at the heart of Bayern’s defence in his absence alongside Dante, and van Buyten is expected to get the nod to partner the Brazilian.
Toni Kroos will miss out after picking up a muscular injury in the quarterfinal clash against Juventus, so Arjen Robben will continue on the right, with Thomas Muller expected to take his place behind lone-striker Mario Mandzukic, who is preferred to Mario Gomez.
Dortmund will be without influential midfielder Mario Gotze, who will miss the final with a thigh injury.
Kevin Grosskreutz is expected to fill in, while Marco Reus will play behind Robert Lewandowski.

Another year, another tremendous ask for Arsenal in a Champions League Quarter Final. Rewind 12 months and Arsenal were lumbering home the burden of a 4-0 deficit from the San Siro. Although a marginally different scoreline this time round, the challenge couldn’t be any more magnificent. Stepping into the Allianz 3-1 down on aggregate, shudder.

Bayern Munich who are on a remarkable 16 game win streak in all competitions. Bayern Munich who have played 17 home games in all competitions, scoring 54 goals, conceding a mere 10. Any more emphasis required or we all okay with Bayern’s unimaginable domination at the Allianz Arena?
Injuries to Barcary Sagna, Podolski, and talisman Jack Wilshere has simply increased the gradient of slope Wenger’s boys must claw their way up, if they are to leave Munich alive.

Since buying Chelsea for £140 million back in July 2003, Roman Abramovich has ploughed his Russian roubles into transforming Chelsea from a team capable of pushing for a top four spot to a team capable of winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Arsenal might well have landed themselves the toughest draw out of all the teams in the Last 16. Bayern Munich, last season’s Champions League runners-up, are one of Europe’s top teams right now and have only improved their squad since narrowly missing out on trophies to both Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea last season. The fact that Arsenal were comprehensively outplayed by Schalke 04 – a team nearly 20 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga – during the group stages would suggest that they may take a considerable beating off Bayern Munich. However, Arsenal can take a bit of comfort knowing that in each of the last two seasons – when playing AC Milan and Barcelona – they went into the tie as underdogs but won their home leg and didn’t lose by more than one goal on aggregate. It seems unlikely that Arsenal will have it in them to go through, but if...

Currently in football there is a trend towards the narrow style of Barcelona, where the vast majority of attacks are passing moves, executed through the centre of the opposition’s defence. Therefore one could be forgiven for suggesting that the winger is as outdated as the traditional tall centre forward. This view could be justified by Spain’s much talked about adoption of the 4-6-0 formation during the recent European Championships.
The ‘wingers’ in that formation were actually creative midfielders, Andres Iniesta and David Silva, who were stationed on the flanks merely to avoid central congestion. Certainly they didn’t play as traditional wide-men either, attacking their full-backs with the aim of delivering a cross for the striker. This approach would have been pointless, seeing as Spain used Cesc Fabregas, yet another creative midfielder, as a false number nine. As well as causing several pundits’ heads to explode, this...

Football pundits are obsessed with calling the Premier League ‘The Best League in the World’; a ludicrous statement to make, especially since their argument revolves around the belief that any team can beat any team on their day and that 20th can beat 1st.
Wolves by the way – who finished in 20th – didn’t defeat any of the top eight clubs last season and Manchester City didn’t lose to any of the bottom seven teams.

The Gunners are optimistic of landing Afellay at a cut price deal of £6 million, and will be hopeful that he can help Arsenal continue to challenge in the Champions League and the Premier League next season. After a slightly disappointing first season for Gervinho and an almost non-season from Park Chu Young, Arsene Wenger seems determined to bring in another winger, and Afellay with his creativity and speed ticks all the boxes of an Arsenal player.

With Euro 2012 now finished and a rampant Spain crowned champions it’s time for the team of the tournament. How many Spaniards make the cut? Who is my player of the tournament? Which one of the strikers locked on three goals made it into my starting XI? Read on as all will be revealed.
Gk – Iker Casillas (Spain)
Although there were a couple of stand out goalkeepers at the tournament there is only one Iker Casillas. He is Spain’s last line of defence and when he is eventually called into action he rarely disappoints. Played six conceded one with five consecutive clean sheets and a penalty save from João Moutinho in the semi final shoot out only tell half the story. His reflexes are superb, his leadership qualities are second to none and he has supreme levels of concentration. Two years ago he made an incredible save from Arjen Robben...

After Bert Van Marwijk resigned as Holland coach after a disastrous Euro 2012 showing, can Holland rebuild for the 2014 World Cup?
It is a question that may have sounded inane after the 2010 World Cup. Then, Van Marwijk led Holland to the final, eliminating giants Brazil in the process. Hoping to win the competition for the first time in their history, having reached two consecutive finals in 1974/78, it was ultimately Spain who broke their hearts that year and to date, Holland have only ever won one major tournament – Euro 1988.
In this years Euro’s, despite being the highest goalscorers in qualifying, Holland failed to earn a single point in Group B – the so called “Group of Death” – having lost to Denmark, Germany and Portugal to finish with an embarrassing zero points.
Before this dramatic reversal in fortunes, they were World Number 1 in the Fifa Rankings in August last year.
So the question...

Dutch Drama in the Euro 2012 Group of Death Holland’s opening loss to Denmark on Saturday, June 9 reminded us just why Group B is considered the Group of Death; every team is a threat, and a damned good one. The Dutch team, one of the favorites to make it through to the Euro final, is poised for a swift exit from the tournament after two losses in the Group Stage. With the forward power of Robin van Persie, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder, fans expected sparks to be flying. However, a sluggish midfield – largely thanks to [...]...

The game kicked off with a wall of noise echoing around the Metalist Stadium, as it seemed the fans of each of these historically rich nations were having a competition of their own.
The first chance of the game came in the sixth minute, when a delightfully floated ball was played over the German defence into the path of that man Robin Van Persie, but, in what seems to be becoming a trend at Euro 2012, he put it straight in to the keepers arms. The Germans had their first chance a couple of minutes later when a headed clearance fell kindly to Ozil who struck it on the volley, clipping the post before landing nicely in to the goalkeepers hands. Holland were moving the ball better and keeping possession when they had it, unlike the Germans who barely strung two passes together in the first ten minutes. The nervousness of...

This game is one we have all been looking forward to since the day the draw was made. I struggle to think of a bigger rivalry in International football, and when you add to the mixture the Dutch, one of the favourites before the tournament began, need to win realistically to stand a chance of qualification if Denmark avoids defeat to Portugal in the 5pm kick off, then you have the ingredients of one of the games of the tournament.
One of the main questions that will be answered at around 7.45pm is will Bert van Marwijk stick with the front three from their first game defeat against Denmark. Robin Van Persie looked a shadow of the clinical genius we are used to seeing on Match of the Day, and Arjen Robben seemed to think every time he had the ball he had to shoot. Possible replacements include Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar,...

Euro 2012 has already delivered on its considerable hype, probably because it's the best international soccer tournament out there. Yesterday Poland and Greece played to a dramatic 1-1 draw before Russia put on an offensive show -- show of offense? It was only offensive if you were Czech -- in a 4-1 win over the Czech Republic.
But today marked the first matches of Group B, the so-called Group of Death, which features Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal And Denmark. On paper Denmark was overmatched, but after a Michael Krohn-Dehli goal (which you can watch here) and some determined defending, the Danes eked out a 1-0 win and pput Holland in an awful position in group play.
The culprit, of course is Arjen Robben, who can't catch a break these days. Robben missed a penalty for club team Bayern Munich, costing them a Champions League title on their home turf at Allianz Arena,...

Holland go into the first game of Euro 2012 as hotly fancied and oh so bright orange as ever.
With Robin Van Persie, perhaps the best goalscorer in the world right now outside of the ‘La Liga two’ and Wesley Sneijder, a frustratingly petulant but potentially tournament-winning talent, they boast a front two capable of pricking the red balloon that has floated above international football since 2008.
Goalscoring maestro Klaus Jann Huntelaar and former Chelsea star Arjen Robben add to the fancy flair but the chest-crunching, gloomy stare giving backline that includes Nigel De Jong and John Heitinga will look to quell group underdogs Denmark from springing a surprise and consolidate this ‘new’ Holland as a team that’s as solid as they are sexy.
Denmark, handed a group from Satans scaly paws, will be looking to the truly special Eriksen to find a way through the tangerine wall, hoping that the...

As Group B gets under way today, football fans across Europe will clamour in front of the television in eager expectation for what is expected to be one of the more competitive round of fixtures in the Group Stages. Holland, Germany, Portugal and Denmark will all cross swords, and only two can progress.
So, who will be the big name casualties of the so called “Group of Death”?
Holland
The Netherland’s haven’t won the European Championship since 1988, though in the last three Championships they have reached two semi-finals and one quarter final. With 37 goals, they were the highest scoring team in qualifying for the Euro’s.
Star performer: Robin van Persie
Robin van Persie has been in electric form. He was the Premier League’s top goal scorer last season, plundering 30 league goals for Arsenal. With the likes of Arjen Robben, Rafael van der Vart, Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Wesley Sneijder in support,...
