After 4 seasons with Fulham Edwin signed for Manchester United in a £2 million pound deal.
In season 1995-1996 he kept clean sheet for nine consecutive games, a total of 846 minutes.
Joined Juventus for £5 million in 1999 he became the first foreign keeper to play for the club.
Joined Premiership club Fulham FC in August 2001 for £7,000,000.
Started his career with Ajax in 1990.
Won five Dutch league titles, the UEFA Cup in 1992, the Champions League in 1995 and the Dutch domestic treble in 1996.

Was part of the Dutch squads at the 1994 (where he didn't get to play), 1998 and 2006 World Cups of soccer.
