If you're not examining every single new detail in the freshly released "Deadpool & Wolverine" trailer, then can you really call yourself a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The movie is bringing the raunchy Merc with a Mouth into the MCU for the first time, and Ryan Reynolds gets to keep his R-rated naughtiness, marking a major first for Marvel Studios. Joining him is Hugh Jackman, reprising his beloved role as Wolverine for the first time since the character met his moving fate in "Logan," though it might be a version of Wolverine we've never met before. But there are bound to be many more mutants and Marvel characters joining in the fun as well.
However, no matter how big of a Marvel movie fan you might be, unless you're also a Marvel Comics fan, there's a brilliant Easter egg you possibly missed.

Women’s History Month is a great time to check out some of the most badass women in the history of movies — but face it, there’s never a bad time to settle in for some action and revenge with the likes of Lara Croft, Princess Leia, Domino and more.
Whether you prefer your strong women in animated form like Merida from “Brave,” straight out of the pages of a comicbook like the Black Widow or wielding a sword like Michelle Yeoh and Uma Thurman, there’s a formidable female movie hero for every taste on this list.

A beautiful young Black woman sits alone at a bar, waiting for her date to show. When he does, he orders for her, brays about his job in finance, objectifies her “caramel” skin, and later, tries to secretly film her – and worse.
On a different night out, a man tells the woman that she could be a model – not runway, but print – and that while he doesn’t usually go for Black girls, she’s the prettiest one there. She witnesses another man, whose mates are bellowing about taking girls “to pound town”, taking upskirt photos in a club. She makes a beeline for them all, and not because her dickhead radar is faulty but because it’s fully operational and when she gets these men into a dark corner… well, that would be telling.

Suppose you follow anything Marvel-related on social media. In that case, there’s a high chance you stumped across some rumors and reports regarding ‘Deadpool 3,’ the upcoming and highly-anticipated movie that will finally make Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth a canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The movie started production last May, but it’s been on pause since July when the SAG-AFTRA strike began. It’s unknown when production will resume and whether the movie will be finished in time for its current release date (it most likely won’t), but we still recently got a ton of rumors and reports about the movie’s characters and special returns.
From what is officially known, ‘Deadpool 3’ will bring back the majority of the ‘Deadpool 2’ cast, except Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable. Additionally, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner will return as Wolverine as Elektra,...

Ahead of its Monday afternoon Upfront presentation, Fox did not unveil a fall schedule but instead released its overall line-up of programs for the entire 2023-24 TV season.
With the Writers Guild of America strike creating uncertainty about when production on shows might resume, and since no returning or new scripted Fox dramas have episodes in the can, the network said it would lock into a fall schedule at a later date.

The X-Men Cinematic Universe is definitely a unique beast among the superhero universes. Marvel Studios pioneered the idea of shared universes, and since 2008, things have been relatively straightforward in that world. The same could be said of the DC Extended Universe. While the future of the film franchise is still getting shuffled around after Justice League, the actual narrative structure of the movies are easy enough to follow.
The same can not be said of the X-Men films. While the first three films were simple sequels to one another, things were first thrown out of wack with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Things got more convoluted when X-Men: Days of Future Past attempted to merge the timelines, but only more questions came as a result. Several films later, we now have a whole new era of X-Men films on the horizon, and they all occur at potentially different points in time.

Something to pay attention to next time you sit down to watch a movie, and to later discuss, when you and your pals go to Starbucks afterward and order cappuccinos, oblivious of the fact that you might be doing so because a character in the movie you just saw was drinking one
For example… Limitless, last week’s number 1 movie, featured brands that include: adidas, Apple, At&T, Bentley, BlackBerry, Bloomberg, Dell, Google, Ibm, Levi’s, Louis Vuitton, Maserati, Mercedes, New York Post, Percocet, Red Bull, Smartwater, St. Regis Hotel, Trump, and Two Men and a Truck.
Several “high end” brands there. I haven’t seen the film however. But since you’re technically supposed to be able to tell who the target audience of the film is, by looking at the brands featured in the film,...

This Week in DVD & Blu-ray is a column that compiles all the latest info regarding new DVD and Blu-ray releases, sales, and exclusive deals from stores including Target, Best Buy and Fry’s. The Disappearance Of Alice Creed The Disappearance of Alice Creed opens with two men prepping for what we can only assume—given the title of the film (despite any revelations about its meaning that may come later)—is a kidnapping. We assume correctly. They pull a girl into a van, tie her to a bed, strip her of all her clothes, snap photos of her, and put new clothes on her. All of this takes places without any dialogue, or any understanding of who these people are, how they know each other, or what their motivations are. The less you know about what happens from that point forward, the better. This is the sort of assured, smartly...
