Two years ago, we heard that production was about to wrap on an action horror film called Wolf Mountain, directed by David Lipper and starring Danny Trejo (Machete) and Tobin Bell (Saw). Wolf Mountain had its title elongated as time went by – it’s now known as The Curse of Wolf Mountain – and as of today, the film is available on digital and DVD! You can check it out on Amazon at This Link.
The release of The Curse of Wolf Mountain comes courtesy of Uncork’d Entertainment.
Written by and starring Keli Price (Sleep No More), The Curse of Wolf Mountain centers on Aj (Price), who begins having vivid dreams of his parents’ death. He decides to go back to the spot where they were killed, 20 years ago, accompanied by his brother and his brother’s family. But legend has it there is something mysterious roaming these woods.

"There are rules, Will... You must listen with a clear and open mind." Gravitas Ventures has released the official trailer for a supernatural thriller titled ReBroken, an indie horror film from filmmaker Kenny Yates making his feature directorial debut. It'll be out to watch in March if anyone is curious to see where it goes. A devastated father receives vinyl recordings from a mysterious stranger that allow him to communicate with his recently deceased daughter. After the listens to the strange vinyl, he starts to notice messages and signs from his daughter, making him even more obsessed with trying to figure out how to bring her back. Tobin Bell co-stars with Scott Hamm Duenas playing Will, and an indie cast including Kipp Tribble, Alison Haislip, Nija Okoro, Kenny Yates, Richard Siegelman, Blake Koren, and Billy Walker. This definitely a has a direct-to-video quality, for better or worse, along with some low rent Insidious tricks.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.
This Past Weekend:
As per my Thursday update, M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Split ended up winning the weekend but with way more than anyone, including myself, predicted, with more than $40 million for its opening weekend. That’s pretty impressive, and his first movie to open at that level since 2010’s The Last Airbender. Meanwhile, Vin Diesel’s sequel xXx: The Return of Xander Cage ended up making around where I predicted, taking second place with $20.1 million, not a great sign for the continuation of that franchise. Michael Keaton’s The Founder ended up right around where I predicted with $3.4 million, ending up just outside the Top 10. Hidden Figures, La La Land and Sing continued to do well with minimal drop-offs.

We have a competition “Only for the hardcore” to celebrate the return of baseball legend Kenny Powers to Blu-ray and DVD as season three of Eastbound & Down hits stores October 8th. Win yourself your very own season three Blu-ray (to keep, it’s yours!) and relive the hardcore and hilarious antics of Danny McBride’s arrogant, insulting and irresistible creation.
This raw-and-raunchy comedy series about the burned-out former major league pitcher shows Kenny’s boorish behaviour brought back to South Carolina. Season 3 sees the return of Kenny one year after returning from Mexico, or as he calls it “the asshole of America”, where his baseball comeback continues in the minors. Now playing for Myrtle Beach Mermen, he tries to balance the responsibly of fatherhood and mend his relationship with April – will he be able to complete his quest back to the major league?

Right! It’s another caffeine fuelled night ahead of us as we prepare to liveblog the 84th Academy Awards.
The Artist is the favourite to scoop up the awards tonight, which would round off a grand few days for Michel Hazanavicius and his silent film which run rampant through the Cesars and Independent Spirit awards but we may see Martin Scorsese’s Hugo do well with Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Meryl Streep and Viola Davis front runners for the acting awards.
Whether you agree with the relevance and importance of the Oscars it is the one night of the year when a huge amount of people are talking and celebrating movies, and that can only be a good thing. Debate will begin with the first award and continue with every golden envelope opened.
So, join us below, or on Twitter at @HeyUGuys for our take on film’s biggest night.

Hello everyone and welcome to our favourite day in the British film calendar. We’re here in the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for the 65th annual BAFTA awards and while the red carpet is being ironed and our colleagues fight off the cold anticipation is building for what should be an excellent evening.
Two of the films dominating the nominations are paeans to the magic of cinema with Michel Hazanavicius’ The Artist and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo up for numerous awards though a particular favourite of ours here on HeyUGuys, Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, has been championed within the Academy and find itself up for Best Film, Director and a Supporting Actress nod for Carey Mulligan.
You can follow our coverage of the awards ceremony, with details of the winners as they are announced as well as other highlights from the Awards noted down before the BBC’s...

30 Minutes or Less
Directed by: Ruben Fleischer
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, Nick Swardson
Running Time: 1 hr 22 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: August 12, 2011
Plot: Two small-time criminals (McBride and Swardson) kidnap a pizza delivery guy (Eisenberg), strap a bomb to his chest, and tell him he has to rob a bank.
Who’S It For? It’s wacky comedy more than anything else. Loving McBride and Ansari will help, but not guarantee love for this little film.
Expectations: None, just got done with a vacation in Vancouver where I experienced some amazing food. That was all I was thinking about.
Scorecard (0-10)
Actors:
Jesse Eisenberg as Nick: Nick is a slacker who is content being a pizza delivery guy. I think. I don’t actually know what he stands for, though I realize it’s now very difficult to see Eisenberg as anything besides his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg from The Social Network.
