We’ve got a bonus show from Aew this week, the quarterly Battle of the Belts 3 on TNT, which this time emanated from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Let’s get to it!
Match #1: TNT Championship Match – Wardlow def. Jay Lethal The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Lethal ambushed Wardlow as Dutt distracted Wardlow from outside the ring. Wardlow popped right back up with a big boot to Jay Lethal, following up with a back body drop. Lethal took advantage of another distraction from Dutt and Satnam, hitting Wardlow with a sliding kick. Wardlow slammed Lethal with a tilt-a-whirl. Jay Lethal dropkicked Wardlow but Wardlow swatted him away. Lethal went down clutching a knee but he was playing possum. Lethal clocked Wardlow with a tope suicida. Lethal concentrated on Wardlow’s left knee, smacking it against the steel ring post. Wardlow, somehow able to stand,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got Excalibur, Caprice Coleman and Mark Henry on commentary and I’m digging the switch-ups we’ve had on the commentary team in recent weeks… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Angelico and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) def. Ar Fox, Liam Gray and Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: There was nothing remarkable about this match as Private Party continue to coast along and not live up to the hype of their signing back at the beginning of Aew. In fact, Private Party on Being the Elite is Better than Private Party in the ring! So in the end we get an average score for an average match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose def. Angelica Risk...

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia. Let’s get to the review!
Match #1: “Hangman” Adam Page & John Silver def. The Butcher & The Blade The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Butcher chopped Silver and then dared Page to get in the ring. Blade tagged in and stomped a mudhole into Silver. “Hangman” tagged in and clobbered the Butcher with a lariat. Page followed up with a tope suicida on the Blade. The Blade distracted referee Rick Knox so the Butcher could employ some dirty work on Page. The Blade nailed Silver with a Doctor Bomb. Silver tagged out to Adam Page. “Hangman” hit Butcher and the Blade with elbows. Page dumped Blade out to the arena floor. Page staggered Butcher with a lariat.

Match #1: Bobby Fish def. Blake Li
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Bobby Fish getting back into the swing of things after not being on TV for a few weeks. Other than that this was your typical Aew quasi-squash match.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose def. Skye Blue and Brittany
My Thoughts: Another squash match for this week’s Elevation, but one that makes sense given that Rose and Shfir are supposed to be the dominant team and Skye Blue is the underdog. Speaking of Shafir,...

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Brody King & Malakai Black def. John Silver & Alex Reynolds The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Reynolds and Black chain wrestled and then Reynolds took down Black with a deep arm drag. Black got a blind tag to Brody and Brody used his bulk to muscle Reynolds into the corner. Reynolds avoided a chop and tagged out to John Silver. Brody King leveled John Silver and then attempted a senton but Silver dodged it and tagged out to Reynolds. Silver and Reynolds blasted Brody with stereo kicks. They sent Brody spilling to the outside after more tandem offense. Brody intercepted a diving Alex Reynolds and then spiked him on the ring apron.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. This time round we’ve got Tony Schiavone and Caprice Coleman on commentary (with Anthony Ogogo joining them in the later matches), which makes for a refreshing change to proceedings. Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Paris Van Dale
My Thoughts: Surprise, surprise. Emi Sakura finally gets to have a singles match on one of Aew’s YouTube shows. She’s been stuck in women’s tag/trios whirlygig for weeks now, so it’s weird to see her in a one-on-one match. Though this wasn’t really a match, this was a typical Aew quasi-squash, with Paris Van Dale getting a couple of big spots in – a running bulldog, a open-leg faceplant – but nothing that gave Emi anything to worry about.
My Score:...

Match #1: Eddie Kingston def. Konosuke Takeshita The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Kingston used a side headlock takeover on Takeshita, but Takeshita scissored Eddie’s head. Both men got to their feet in a stalemate. Kingston grabbed Takeshita by the wrists but Takeshita reversed it, and then Kingston countered. Takeshita backed Eddie into the ropes and took advantage of the moment. Eddie followed up with a gut wrench suplex. Both men traded chops until Kingston thumbed Takeshita in the eyes. Takeshita fired elbow strikes in the corner...

Match #1: Andrade El Idolo def. Rey Fenix The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Andrade wrenched on Rey Fenix’s wrist. Rey Fenix reversed it. Andrade escaped but Rey Fenix took him off his feet with a hurracanrana. Andrade dropped elbows on Rey Fenix’s head, but Fenix fired back with a back heel kick. Andrade El Idolo had the power advantage and hit two suplexes. Rey Fenix rallied back with the three amigos suplexes on Andrade El Idolo. Rey Fenix climbed to the top but Andrade rolled out to the floor.

Another episode of Aew: Dark and another short post-Double or Nothing show. After yesterday’s 20-minute Elevation we get a sub-30 minute episode of Dark And another title defence for Mercedes Martinez! Taz and Excalibur are joined by Caprice Coleman on commentary for the matches this week!
Match #1: Roh Women’s Championship – Mercedes Martinez def. Viva Van
My Thoughts: The veteran Mercedes Martinez faces yeat another “green” wrestler in Viva Van, who only has three years under her belt compared to Martinez’s 21 years in the business! This was a patented (by me) Aew quasi-squash match, with Van given a little room to get some offence in before being dominated by Martinez. Better than Martinez’s Elevation match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: The Butcher & The Blade def. Hunter Grey & Paul Titan
My Thoughts: Well Hunter Grey & Paul Titan have an interesting look. Didn’t stop them from...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. As usual, we have Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Jim Ross on commentary for this pay per view building show… Let’s see what happens on the road to Double or Nothing!
Match #1: Steel Cage Match – Wardlow def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Wardlow was escorted out to the ring in handcuffs by an Aew security detail. Mjf couldn’t find the handcuff keys to unlock Wardlow. Shawn Spears jumped the shackled Wardlow. Wardlow pushed Spears back with a kick, but Mjf gouged Wardlow’s eyes. They double shoulder blocked Wardlow, shoving him face first into the steel cage! Mjf spat at Wardlow and then Wardlow broke his own handcuffs off. Shawn Spears tried to escape the cage but Wardlow scaled the fence and shoved Spears down.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor double-sized review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got two weeks’ worth of wrestling to cover, so let’s get right to it.
December 26th 2020 Match #1: Dante Caballero and Joe Keys def. Ken Dixon and Eric Martin – Roh Dojo Challenge Tag Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
This is an opportunity for the next generation of Roh stars to showcase their talent. All four men have made a name for themselves in Maryland Championship Wrestling (McW), one of the leading independent promotions and an affiliate of Roh. Dixon, Caballero and Keys all participated in the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament. Martin, who has competed in a couple dark matches in Roh, will be making his debut on Roh television. Caballero and Martin squared off to begin the match, and Caballero used chain wrestling to gain the advantage.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the finals of the Pure Title Tournament. Before we get started, look at this:
The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Roh commentators Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman and Quinn McKay provided their analysis and predictions for the Roh Pure Title tournament final between Tracy Williams and Jonathan Gresham, which airs on this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.”
Ian Riccaboni: I’m a big enough man to admit when I am wrong, and I’ve been purely wrong about this whole Pure tournament. In hindsight, it makes a lot of sense that the two Pure Championship finalists, Tracy Williams and Jonathan Gresham, are in the position they find themselves in. The two most technically sound wrestlers in the entire tournament should have been in the best position...

Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor review, right here on Nerdly! On this week’s card, we have Bully Ray and Cheeseburger with no disqualifications as well as Cody Rhodes fighting Cmll’s Titan in our main event. So, go ahead and pull up the old easy chair while we spend the next half hour painting some of nature’s masterpieces. We’ll use about a dozen water-colors an… whoops. That’s the wrong review. Bob Ross might be happy about that last part, but you won’t…let’s just get to the action.

Welcome to the second review of Ring of Honor TV! This week features a double main event in Jay Lethal wrestling Punishment Martinez and a trios match featuring the Bullet Club fighting So-Cal Uncensored. Here we go!
Match #1: Jay Lethal vs Punishment Martinez
The crowd was really primed from the opening bell for this bout. Lethal took control of the match from the first grapple, with the story being that the wily veteran was systematically grounding the raging behemoth known as Punishment Martinez. Lethal was like a maelstrom to Punishment, with each strike and every blow delivered from his body like bullets from a Gatling gun. Lethal performed a dive sequence that was like watching an obsessive-compulsive missile repeatedly striking its target, as much because of programming as instinct. From there, Martinez began to dominate Lethal with his massive arms while Lethal...
