Kelly, half of the 1990s teen rap duo Kriss Kross, was found dead May 1 of a suspected drug overdose. Kriss Kross rapper Chris Kelly reportedly took hard drugs the night before his death, according to the police investigation report.

According to the report, obtained by Access Hollywood, Donna Kelly Pratt (identified in the police report as a "close friend," but later reported to be Kelly's mother), claimed her son had taken a mixture of heroin and cocaine the night before his death.
