- Shortstop for Philadelphia Phillies, 2000-present. Made ML debut on September 17, 2000 and tripled in his first official at-bat.
- Named to National League All-Star team in 2001 and 2002. In doing so, Rollins became the first shortstop in Major League history (and first Phillies player ever) to make the team in his first two seasons.
- Cousin of former Major League outfielder Tony Tarasco.
- Achieved a quadruple-double (double figures in doubles, triples, home runs, and stolen bases) in 2001, 2002, and 2004.
- In 2004, Rollins became the first Philadelphia Phillie to hit two inside-the-park home runs in the same season since Larry Bowa did it in 1980. Bowa was Rollins's manager from 2001-2004.
- Finished third in the 2001 National League Rookie of the Year voting. Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals was the winner.
- Named to 2005 NL All-Star team as an injury replacement for Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Cesar Izturis.
- Rollins finished the 2005 season with a 36-game hitting streak, establishing both a Philadelphia Phillies franchise record and Major League record for shortstops. The previous Phillies high had been 31 games by Ed Delahanty in 1899, while Nomar Garciaparra had set the shortstop record of 30 games in 1997.
- Named 2007 National League MVP by popular vote.
- Has two daughters: Camryn Drew (b. May 21, 2012), and Logan Allya (b. April 2014).
