As one of five intriguing titles selected by the Madrid Film School’s Ecam Incubator, now on its sixth year, Charli Bujosa Cortés’ feature debut “¿Es usted secuestrable?” (“Are You Kidnappable?”) offers a hybrid of sorts. He describes it as non-binary, just like him.
Developed at Eurodoc, Mallorca Talents Lab and the Mentoring Project of L’Alternativa Desarrolla among others, the film turns on Bujosa Cortés’ eccentric aunt Carmen, who in 1977, was one of the hostages in a plane hijacking that criss-crossed the globe for almost three days.
In the event that made headlines around the world, Italian car mechanic Luciano Porcari hijacked the plane to the Ivory Coast to gain custody of his young daughter as well as a ransom. He then forced the pilots to take him to Morocco but they ended up hop scotching to Seville, Zurich, Turin, Warsaw, and ultimately failed to reach Moscow where the...

It's been three years since Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters ended its run on Freeform.
The show followed Clary Fray as she discovered that she comes from a long line of human-angel hybrids that hunt demons called Shadowhuinters.
Since the show's been off the air for three years, we thought we'd look at what the leads have done since the show's end!
Alan Van Sprang -- Valentine Morgenstern
Throughout the first two seasons, Valentine proved to be an intriguing villain, and Clary killed him more than once during his 28-episode run.
Alan Van Sprang brought his skills to the role and has moved on to have other recurring roles in different series since.
He portrayed Section 31 agent Leland during Season Two of Star Trek: Discovery and Chief detective Keith Alper during seasons two and three of In The Dark.
While there doesn't seem to be anything upcoming, we know we'll see...

The hunt is winding down, and the cast of Shadowhunters is thanking fans and sharing some memories about the Freeform series that will end next year.
Based on Cassandra Clare’s popular book Ya series The Mortal Instruments, the supernatural drama about human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons will wrap with a two-hour finale after the remainding Season 3 episodes air. No premiere date has been set for those.
Produced by Constantin Film, Shadowhunters stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, Alisha Wainwright and Harry Shum Jr. Most of them have weighed in on social media regarding the series ending — but not everyone is going quietly; some are flying the #saveshadowhunters flag.
Here’s what they’re tweeting about it:

I think we can all agree that the adults are not to be trusted on Shadowhunters. They all have their own agendas! Only Luke seems to be the trustful one.
On Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 2, the adults continued their "I know what's best for you" mantra. We already knew Valentine was despicable, but Victor Aldertree and Jocelyn continue to surprise.
Between the power control set by Aldertree and Jocelyn's lies, it's no wonder the core group feel they need to get the job done. And they're showing results! They're the only ones thinking with reason and composure in the Jace situation.
Does anyone trust Aldertree? There's something about him that screams evil and having hidden motives. It could be the way he politely talks down and threatens people...

Despite a slight uptick in quality, Shadowhunters is still disappointingly far, far from the show it could have been...
This review contains spoilers.
1.3 Dead Man's Party
It’s not saying much, but this was the best episode of Shadowhunters so far. With most of the major characters introduced and most of the basic rules of the universe already established, there was a bit more breathing room for things to happen. And with most of the worst aspects of the show pushed discreetly out of sight, there was even time to have some fun.
So, again, we pick up pretty much exactly where the last episode left off, with Simon being abducted by vampires who think Clary knows where the Mortal Cup is and quite fancy nicking it for themselves. That sense of continuity is quite nice; it can be disconcerting to feel like characters in a TV...

From comic-book adaptations to sci-fi, fantasy and horror. Here are the new geek-skewed shows coming to Us TV in 2016...
The world of TV has never been so crowded and, at the same time, geeks have never had it so good. As saturated as the big screen is with superhero films and sprawling shared universes, that mentality has well and truly bled onto the small screen too.
So there’s a lot of comic-book adaptations coming up in 2016 from Marvel, DC and others, but genre TV is represented across the board with science-fiction, fantasy and horror represented at pretty much every network and cable channel in the Us.
Here's some of the geek TV that will be making its way to us from the Us next year.
