Texas Killing Fields Trailer. Ami Canaan Mann‘s Texas Killing Fields (2011) movie trailer stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Jessica Chastain, and Stephen Graham. Texas Killing Fields’ plot synopsis: “Texas Killing Fields follows a homicide detective in a small Texan town and his partner, a transplanted cop from NYC, as they track a serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call ‘The Killing Fields’”.
I pieced together from this trailer *spoiler begins* that Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character uses Chloe Moretz’s character off-the-books as bait for the serial killer and the serial killer takes it (her) *spoiler ends*. That is just conjecture on my part but from this movie trailer I think that is what happens. This film could be good, certainly better than languid Small Town Murder Songs.
Texas Killing Fields also stars Jason Clarke, Annabeth Gish, Sheryl Lee, Leanne Cochran,...

A group of college kids and their professor accidentally unleash an ancient monster that places a death curse on whoever hears it scream.
Scream of the Banshee provides an adequate amount of thrills, chills and suspense. It's competently directed. It's competently acted by everyone involved. It's got a competent array of special effects and makeup. It also happens to look slick and polished. It's a solid horror film in every respect. So what's there to complain about? Well, it never pushes the envelope far enough. It doesn't break out of the box so to speak. It has an interesting concept at its disposal. There was so much mythology or ideology that the film could have explored, but it goes in the more routine direction of teen slasher, but...

Director: Steven C. Miller.
Writer: Anthony C. Ferrante and Jacob Hair.
Scream of the Banshee made its premiere on the SyFy Network March 26th and the film is from director Steven C. Miller (Automaton Transfusion), along with writer Jacob Hair (2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams); Anthony C. Ferrante (Headless Horseman) also has a credit. The SyFy Network does not have great reputation for debuting quality films, or stories. However, Miller's latest has an interesting back story, with the use of dual antagonists suitable for a thrilling climax. The results are above average, but the material will not challenge viewers too much, after the final credits roll.
There is a nice reversal in time periods, to the 12th Century Ad, from present day. The action begins early, with a horse chase through some unknown woods. Here, a witch uses her powers to send two one-dimensional characters to the abyss, while a third...

When it comes to original movies, it’s kind of hard to beat the Syfy channel. After all, this is the network that’s given the world Dinocroc vs. Supergator, Ice Spiders, and Mansquito. For its 200th (!) original film, Syfy unveiled Scream of the Banshee last night.
Lauren Holly (NCIS) stars as archeologist professor Isla Whelan, who apparently is in charge of some sort of massive organizational project down in her school’s very dark and creepy-looking basement. She’s got a couple of plucky assistants to help her, Otto (Todd Haberkorn) and Janine (Leanne Cochran), and one very disaffected why-can’t-i-ever-please-you-mom teenager,...
