Poor old Matthew Wolfenden has been made to watch his Emmerdale co-star Natalie Anderson seemingly plunge to her doom, all in the name of entertainment.
The Alicia Metcalfe actress took part in the stunt for ITV2 show Tricked, as revenge for Wolfenden constantly teasing her.
"I'd like to trick Matthew Wolfenden because he's super mean to me," Anderson told Tricked magician Ben Hanlin. "He makes me out to be really gullible. He plays practical jokes on me."
The David Metcalfe actor was told that he and Anderson had been asked to present a feature about family days out for ITV's This Morning.
Then, while 'recording the item', he watched in horror as a zorbing ball appearing to contain his co-star rolled off the edge of a huge cliff.
Asked what he thought of magician Hanlin immediately after the reveal, Wolfenden said: "My honest thoughts of Ben at this particular point in time,...

Of course it's 'Love Week', so we can probably expect plenty of heart cartoons projected onto the ice, pink costumes and more mention of Samia and Sylvain's 'romance' than you can shake a sparkly stick at.
So dig out the chocolate and sparkling wine (ITV cutbacks etc) and join Digital Spy for all of the luurvely action…
20:55Thanks for joining Digital Spy this evening, and don't forget to put a bid on Pasquale's jockstrap on eBay tomorrow morning. Night, all!

He explained: "I'm totally different to David and take the marriage vows really seriously. He's so flippant about it and thinks they can get a quickie divorce, but I couldn't do that. It's daft." Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has confirmed that there is a sham wedding on the way for his character David Metcalfe and Woolpack barmaid Alicia Gallagher. Alicia quickly agrees to the idea, but is conflicted as she continues to harbour genuine feelings for David. Wolfenden told All About Soap: "It happens when they're sat together drinking wine one evening. Alicia's broken down in tears, talking about how Jacob is going to have to live with his father and his new stepmum, who he hates.
