Tucker Carlson just won his first month in cable news ratings at Fox News Channel’s 8 p.m. time slot. And the victory came despite the ongoing boycott against the Fox host’s advertisers.
For March, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” claimed cable news’ top spot in the 25-54 demo for the first time in the program’s history, with 537,000 viewers per night in that advertiser-coveted age range. His pal Sean Hannity was second with 533,000.
It’s worth noting here that Carlson had been No. 1 when he took over for Megyn Kelly in Fox’s 9 p.m. hour a few years ago, but this is his first win since replacing Bill O’Reilly in the 8 p.m. timeslot.
Carlson has been on Fox News at 8 o’clock for just under two years now, having launched this version on April 24, 2017.

Last week, there were calls to fire Tucker Carlson from Fox News after old audio resurfaced of the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host making crude remarks about women and statutory rape on a shock-jock radio show. Also last week, Carlson’s Nielsen ratings rose 8 percent.
“Tucker Carlson Tonight” averaged 3 million total viewers last week, with 517,000 of them coming from the key adults 15-54 demographic. Those Nielsen numbers were up 7 percent and 8 percent, respectively, from the prior week — and they also easily beat MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” and CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360”.
In the demo, Carlson’s week was down 2019-to-date and versus the same week in 2018.

Samantha Bee offered her two cents on the Tucker Carlson imbroglio currently engulfing Fox News on Wednesday, saying that the host’s old disparaging remarks towards women and Iraqis is probably what got him his job at the network.
“That is vile and disgusting and presumably the audition tape that got him a job interview at Fox,” Bee said during the monologue of her TBS show “Full Frontal. “Tucker Carlson publicly advocated a genocide while promoting his MSNBC show?”
On set, Bee played several of the most damaging moments from the Carlson audio released by Media Matters this week.
“I love women, but they’re extremely primitive. They’re basic,” Carlson said in one moment during his collected appearances on Florida shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show.

Tucker Carlson spent a third day attacking left wing critics and Media Matters for America on Wednesday evening, this time zeroing in on newly resurfaced blog posts from the organization’s president Angelo Carusone.
“Carusone is himself an enthusiastic bigot,” Carlson said on his Fox News primetime show. “We know this for sure because he has written about it extensively. It turns out for years Carusone maintained a racist blog.”
The Fox News host then read a number of excerpts from Cauronse’s blog from more than a decade ago. In one post called “tranny paradise,” Carusone mocked a Bangladeshi man who had been assaulted in Thailand by a group of male prostitutes. In another, he attempted to explain his longtime boyfriend’s conservative leanings by noting his “possession of several bags of Jewish gold.”

Tucker Carlson’s show slipped a bit in demo ratings on Monday, which was the Fox News host’s first episode since Media Matters unearthed old audio of Carlson making crude remarks about women and statutory rape during radio interviews.
Last night’s program drew 2.895 million viewers, with 495,000 of those coming from the key adults 25-54 demographic. Those numbers topped all of Tucker’s cable news competition, but they’re down from his quarter-to-date averages. Versus last Monday (2.862 million) and the same night last year (2.791 million), Carlson’s latest episode ticked up in total viewers.
“Fox News is behind us, as they have been since the very first day. Toughness is a rare quality at a TV network, and we are grateful for that,” Carlson said, addressing the online boycotts against him, during Monday’s show. “We will never bow to the mob, ever, no matter what.”

Tucker Carlson, who refused to apologize on Sunday evening after old audio clips surfaced of the Fox News host making disparaging remarks about women and calling TV and radio personality Alexis Stewart “c–ty,” had a very different reaction to comedian Samantha Bee’s use of that word to describe first daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump.
During a May 31, 2018 airing of his “Tucker Carlson Tonight” program, Carlson called the word “actually degrading” and said he didn’t know of any man who would use such language. Carlson made the remarks during a monologue calling out Bee called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c—” on air on her weekly TBS show “Full Frontal.”
“That one word that [Bee] used. I don’t know any man who uses that word because it is kind of the one word that is actually degrading,” Carlson told radio host Tammy Bruce on his own show.

Tucker Carlson responded Sunday night to the discovery of controversial and off-color comments he made during conversations with a radio “shock jock” between 2006 and 2011, urging people who wanted to know more about what he thought to watch his primetime program on Fox News Channel.

Alexis has suffered through four devastating miscarriages via surrogacy, but now she's celebrating the birth of her new son. Congrats Alexis and grandma Martha! Alexis Stewart, 46, welcomed her son, Truman, through a surrogate on March 7 a day before his sister, Jude, celebrated her first birthday, Daily Mail reports. The daughter of Martha Stewart, Alexis spent five difficult years and more than $30,000 trying for a baby before a surrogate gave birth to her son. After four miscarriages by surrogates, Alexis felt emotionless about the most recent pregnancy. "I refused to get excited about [the baby]," she says of the previous disappointment. Alexis spent $27,000 a month for in-vitro-fertilization treatment with an additional $6,000 for the drugs that stimulated egg production to ensure her baby came to term. During one fatal pregnancy, no heartbeat was found during a second sonogram test and Alexis feared the worst each consecutive time she went back for the other pregnancies.

Has Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy got network TV's weirdest and most storied sex life? His on-screen romances have been with characters played by the likes of Isabella Rossellini, Emily Mortimer and Elizabeth Banks, but his many implied off-screen entanglements include Martha and Alexis Stewart, Condoleezza Rice, Peggy Fleming and, quite possibly, Dick Cheney. And last night the "30 Rock" protag confessed to a fling with a certain Hollywood journalist and blogger with a signature phrase: In response to that "I hate to say toldja, because it reminds me of my one night stand with Nikki Finke," Finke wrote at Deadline Hollywood: "Sorry, Jack Donaghy, you’re just not my type. Oh those wacky Stewarts.
Just days after Alexis Stewart blasted her mother, domestic diva Martha Stewart, in her book "Whateverland: Learning to Live Here," Martha came back and says her daughter's book is simply a comedy.

Let's hope that's the case, because otherwise it must have been pretty weird being raised by the extreme home makeover artist cum ex-con.
In the book, Alexis Stewart writes that her mother "used to make me wrap my own presents. She would hand me things right before Christmas and say, 'Now wrap these but don't look inside.'"
And that wasn't close to the strangest thing she says about her mother who she says, "was not interested in being kid-friendly."

Her daughter Alexis, 46, levies some harsh claims in her new book, Whateverland: Learning to Live Here, co-authored with Jennifer Koppelman Hutt. "Martha does everything better! You can't win," Alexis Stewart writes of her 70-year-old mom, according to an excerpt obtained by U.K.'s Daily Mail. "If I didn't do something perfectly, I had to do it again. … I grew up with a glue gun pointed at my head." As for holidays, Alexis - who recently welcomed a daughter of her own, Jude - writes that...

She’s been trying for a baby for five years, but on March 8, Alexis Stewart‘s dream of being a mom finally came true when she welcomed her daughter, Jude, via gestational surrogate.
“Getting Jude was lucky,” she tells People. “I’m happy, but this has been rough.”
And how: since deciding she was ready for a baby in her late 30s, Stewart, 45, has seen several doctors and at one point was spending up to $27,000 each month for IVF procedures and an additional $6,000 for medications.

Martha Stewart has a new heir to the throne of her media and home décor empire. Radio host Alexis Stewart, Martha's only child, had her first baby via surrogacy on March 7 and now she's sharing her with the world.
Us points out that the radio host posted images of her new daughter, Jude, on her blog, whateverradio.com, over the weekend.
Alexis has been very open about her struggles to conceive. "Having my own kid is the most important thing in my life," she said on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2007. "I'm trying everything I can."
At the time, she also said she was spending about $20,000 a month on fertility treatments.
At 69, Grand-Martha is apparently very much the doting nana. She arrived at the hospital after the baby was born with a box from the ritzy Bergdorf department store filled with embroidered baby clothes. But, Alexis doesn't seem keen on...

It’s enough that celebrities rub their tropical surf vacations in our faces and flaunt their dumb fur coats around town, we don’t need to be reminded that they live in homes that could easily fit 25 of our one-bedroom apartments inside. Unfortunately, that’s a fact that was highlighted this morning when we read about how Nicole Kidman’s New York apartment is for rent, and you too could live in her lap of luxury for the low, low price of $45,000 a month. No, not $4,500 a month. $45,000. As in, roughly the same amount the average American takes home in a year. Photos of the apartment show that it has a glorious view of New Jersey, recessed lighting, a soaking tub, and penciled-in notches on a closet door that mark Tom Cruise’s height with and without lifts in his shoes. It’s positively palatial by New York standards, at a whopping 3,785 square feet,...

Back in August, "90210's" Matt Lanter talked to Zap2it about the "Twilight"-parody film "Vampires Suck," in which he played Edward Sullen, an exaggerated take-off on Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen.
"A lot of our scenes are kind of ripped right out of 'Twilight' in just these funnier, quirkier, wacky situations," Lanter told us. "So, 'Twilight' fans are the ones who will actually get the jokes."
What he failed to mention -- and which adds a whole other layer to his "Vampire Suck's" performance -- is that he actually auditioned for the role of Edward in the "Twilight" franchise.
"The [casting director] said that I was not 'hauntingly beautiful enough,'" Matt tells "Whatever With Alexis & Jennifer" host Alexis Stewart on Monday (Oct. 18), even though she says she thinks that he's "much better looking" than R-Patz.

You know those casts that swear up and down that they're "like family" and just can't get enough of each other's company?
Yup, "Glee" has one too.
Jenna Ushkowitz stopped by "Whatever With Alexis & Jennifer" on Tuesday (Oct. 5) and shared how she and fellow New Directions members spend their downtime.
"Movies, go to each other's houses, we have dinner parties and hang out and go bowling. All the fun things," Jenna says.
"All the geeky things?" host Alexis Stewart asks.
"Yeah. Pretty much. We're really big geeks," Jenna admits.
How geeky? The refer to their outings as "Gleekends."

They might not be dangerous, but they're armed. Seeking an added layer of protection, more high-profile celebrities are seeking permits to carry guns in New York City, according to New York's Daily News. Among the big names licensed to pack heat: Marc Anthony, Robert De Niro, Donald Trump, and his son, Donald Jr., Mets third baseman David Wright, and Martha Stewart's daughter, radio host Alexis Stewart. Anthony, 42, has a special permit that allows him to carry a loaded weapon in the city, and has a similar permit for Nassau County, where he and Jennifer Lopez have a $2 million home in Brookville.

Martha Stewart's plan to beat Oprah Winfrey to world domination started this week. While Miss O. is milking the last season of her talk show, giving away trips to Australia, and announcing left and right new series for her upcoming Own Network, Martha is quietly slipping into place.
Stewart is turning the Hallmark channel into her own kingdom without changing the call letters to MSN (that's already taken anyway) with eight hours of daytime programming Monday through Friday.
To kick it off, Monday morning saw the premiere of the sixth season of The Martha Stewart Show on its new network. The Emmy-winning series will air not once, not twice, but three times a day on Hallmark.
Next up is Martha's daughter Alexis Stewart and co-host Jennifer Koppelman Hutt on their own hour-long talk show, Whatever With Alexis & Jennifer. The irreverent daytime...

Martha Stewart is no match for Betty White.
Making its move to cable, "The Martha Stewart Show" attracted a cumulative average audience of 394,000 in its debut on the Hallmark Channel on Monday -- down more than 50% from the classic TV repeats that Hallmark aired in the same period last year.
The 10 a.m. broadcast of a new episode of the show reached an average of only 199,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data, down 61% from the 514,000 attracted by a year-ago airing of "Golden Girls."
The 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. replays of that episode attracted an average of 115,000 and 80,000 viewers, respectively. That was below the 346,000 and 344,000 recorded by Hallmark in the corresponding time frame last year with "Little House on the Prairie" and "M*A*S*H," or down 67% and 77%, respectively.
In the key female 25-54 demo that Hallmark wants to reach, viewers were down 56% to 48,000 in the 10am slot that aired...

Alexis Stewart and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt were born to be on television. Literally. Stewart, daughter of all-around media mogul Martha Stewart, and Koppelman Hutt, daughter of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia chairman Charles Koppelman, certainly didn't get a Sirius radio show five years ago because of their experience. But they were incredibly outspoken and scored their first show, "Whatever Martha," which featured the two girls skewering past episodes of Martha's shows. Cut to today where the girls just debuted their brand new talk show on the Hallmark Channel, "Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer."

Martha Stewart, everyone’s favorite lifestyle expert, has found a new home for season six of The Martha Stewart Show: the Hallmark Channel. The Emmy Award-winning show will also be anchored by two original series: Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer — a daily talk show with Alexis Stewart (who just so happens to be Martha’s daughter) and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt — and Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn, which will focus on family meals. Additionally, Stewart’s developing several holiday and interview specials to air this fall. But despite all the changes, Stewart said the Hallmark Channel is hardly turning into the Martha Stewart Network.

New York -- In a TV commercial, Martha Stewart calls her new partnership with Crown Media's Hallmark Channel "a perfect fit."
The alliance between Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Hallmark Channel kicks in Monday when "The Martha Stewart Show" and other lifestyle programming begin running on the cable network. The move is designed to boost the fortunes of both brands, which have been struggling amid a challenging syndication market and a widening rift between those cable channels that have strong content and personalities and those that don't.
With Stewart becoming the first major TV star to move her syndicated show to cable -- ahead of a similar move by Oprah Winfrey next year (and Conan O'Brien's move from NBC to TBS) -- Hallmark, owned by Crown Media, and Stewart are aiming to become a match made in TV heaven.

When Whatever, Martha! was first conceived and I wrote about it, I was doubtful that the show would succeed in really ripping Martha. I thought they're comparing the comedy to Mystery Science Theater 3000 in the press release was setting the bar too high and they would fall on their faces. Well, guess what? They were right and I was wrong. Whatever, Martha! works and it is very funny.
Things should get really interesting on the show when the butt of the jokes -- Martha herself -- appears on Whatever, Martha! tonight, Wednesday, December 2. On Fine Living.
Martha will be on with the stars, Jennifer Koppelman Hutt and Alexis Stewart, to dish about classic clips from Martha Stewart Living.

It used to be that a celebrity would prove that he/she has a sense of humor about his/herself by doing a cameo in a tepid sketch on Saturday Night Live. (See: Drew Barrymore, any presidential candidate, etc.) But it appears that Martha Stewart has found a far more comprehensive and possibly a far funnier way to make fun of herself: Orchestrating her own Mystery Science Theater 3000-esque takedown of her old, exhaustingly detailed domestic how-to guide for the thoroughly bored/insane, Martha Stewart Living. The show is called Whatever, Martha, and it co-stars Martha's daughter, Alexis, and Alexis's deadpan, cutting comments about her mom. Lest you think Alexis Stewart is channeling Christina Crawford at the end of Mommie Dearest here and using her...
