Raised in New York City's Greenwich Village and trained as an actor at
the High School of Performing Arts, Mason had an early appreciation for
the arts. While in New York, Mason worked on such TV shows as Saturday
Night Live, Days Of Our Lives and America's Most Wanted. It was on
these sets that he also gained an appreciation for what goes on behind
the camera. Having always enjoyed filmmaking, Mason set his sights on
starting a production company. He left New York to attend The Art
Institute of Philadelphia where he met his business partner, Don
Argott. Together they formed Mini Mace Pro Pictures, a professional
film and video production company. In addition to his work on Nice
Shot, Mason has produced four short independent films with filmmakers
from Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles. He is the co-founder and
Executive Producer of the Reject Filmfest, an alternative film festival
that received enthusiastic reviews from Time, Entertainment Weekly,
Variety, NPR Radio and the Associated Press, to name a few. In 2000
Mason was named one of Philadelphia Style Magazine's "100
Philadelphians To Watch". In late 2002, he relocated his team to
Hollywood forming Mega Mace creative, production, post & efx, and
DVDworx. While managing both companies, he stil focuses his energy on
writing and directing. He recently completed Vesting, a short film
about one woman's loss of house, family and mind. Currently he is
developing a television drama series, a reality series and is soon to
be working on a feature film.
