If you’ve ever been aboard an international flight, you know just how crowded those things can get. So naturally, the “Manifest” cast is pretty huge. First released on NBC and now streaming on Netflix, the record-breaking show follows the passengers of a plane that disappears mid-flight and lands five years later without explanation, or anyone on board noticing something was wrong.
But once they land, the Flight 828 passengers find their lives forever changed — and forever connected — through a series of visions dubbed “Callings,” which drive the 828ers to solve crimes, uncover mysteries and continually reunite thanks to the influences of a force they never fully understand.
“Manifest” just returned with the first half of a super-sized 20-episode fourth and final season, and as the series starts to pay off the promise that “it’s all connected,” many of the 828 passengers make their return, along with some new faces — or in Cal’s case,...

From the outset, the CW’s Batwoman series was one of the better offerings, thanks to a strong visual sensibility and a winning performance from Rachel Skarsten as the damaged Alice. And like every other Arrowverse show, it threatened to suffer from character bloat by the end of its second season. Thankfully, supernumerary characters and plot points were jettisoned and Javicia Leslie, as Ryan Wilder, made Batwoman her own character after Ruby Rose’s departure.
Season three, therefore, offered a lot of promise and across thirteen episodes we saw the show flirt with good, solid storytelling, too often succumbing to mind-numbing plot holes and illogic. It suffered from being hampered by the idiotic notion that Circe could waltz into the Batcave and make off with Batman’s greatest rogue weapons, all neatly fitting into a duffel bag.

“Batwoman” has been canceled at The CW after three seasons.
Series showrunner Caroline Dries shared the news on Twitter, writing “Just got the sad news that #Batwoman will not be seeing an S4. I am bummed, but full of gratitude. What an honor to make 51 episodes. So many inspiring, brilliant people contributed to this series. Thank you producers, cast and crew. Thank you, fans! We love you.”
“Batwoman” began airing on The CW in 2019, albeit with a different lead actress. Ruby Rose originally starred in the series, but exited after the first season. She later claimed that unsafe working conditions led to her exit, as well as issues with co-star Dougray Scott.
Javicia Leslie was then brought in as a new character to take over the mantle of Batwoman. The show also starred Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Victoria Cartagena, Robin Givens, and Nick Creegan.

Batwoman is bringing a beloved comic book character into the fold during its third season.
Per Deadline, the incomparable Bridget Refan has landed the role of Pamela Isley, aka Poison Ivy.
Isley is a former botany student at Gotham University and is described as a "passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better.”
Isley's plans changed when her colleagues experimented on her and injected her with various plant toxins, which turned her into the villain of Batman.
“With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right… even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods,” per the official character synopsis.
“Now effectively wiped off the board for years, Batwoman and the Bat Team must prepare themselves for Poison Ivy to return with a vengeance.”

Exclusive: Another new character is heading to Gotham for the third season of Batwoman. Nick Creegan has been cast as a new series regular opposite Javicia Leslie in the CW drama series.
Creegan will play Marquis Jet. A sexy playboy who grew up in a lavish lifestyle, Marquis is too charming for his own good and wields his power with a ne’er do well attitude. He views life as one big joke and that sense of recklessness has a tendency to clash horribly with his no-nonsense mother Jada Jet. When he meets Ryan (Leslie), he sees in her a like-minded young go-getter who like him is just waiting for the right opportunity to make his mark on Gotham.
He joins recently announced new series regular Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya.

“Gotham” actress Victoria Cartagena has been cast as the same character, Renee Montoya, in The CW’s “Batwoman,” TheWrap has confirmed.
However, the two shows will not connect with the cast, and Cartagena will be playing a different version of the same DC Comics character.
Montoya, who will appear in the upcoming third season, is a former Gotham City police officer who left the force when she could no longer stomach the corruption and now runs the “freaks division.” The character is described as “righteous and pragmatic” in her “very personal (and mysterious) mission to help clean the streets of Gotham in the right way, by whatever means necessary.”
The character was most recently portrayed by Rosie Perez in 2020’s “Birds of Prey,” directed by Cathy Yan.

“Manifest” has been canceled at NBC after three seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The news comes as the supernatural drama has been released on Netflix, where it currently sits at No. 1 in the streamer’s U.S. Top 10. However, sources tell Variety that the show is hoping to find a new home elsewhere.
The single-camera series had generally produced favorable ratings, particularly in its first season, during which three additional episodes were added.
“Manifest,” produced by Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, was created by Jeff Rake and originally sold as a six-season plan. The series premiered in September 2018 and follows the crew and passengers of a commercial plane who suddenly reappear after being presumed dead for five years. Stars: Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David, Alexander Siddig, Taylor Kitsch, J.K. Simmons, Louis Cancelmi, Victoria Cartagena | Written by Adam Mervis, Matthew Michael Carnahan | Directed by Brian Kirk
Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman stars in this New York-set thriller produced by the Russo Brothers. Fast-paced and impressively acted, it’s a pleasingly old-fashioned thriller, providing you can side-step the occasional plot hole.
Directed by TV veteran Brian Kirk, 21 Bridges centres on a drug heist perpetrated by two small-time crooks (Stephan James and Taylor Kitsch) that goes badly wrong, leaving 8 cops dead at the scene. Theorising that the culprits will need to stay in Manhattan to get rid of their drugs, homicide detective Andre Davis (Boseman) is given until 5am to chase them down, with all traffic routes out of the city (i.e. the area within the 21 Bridges of the title) shut down until then.

As we previously teased earlier this year, Fox has canceled Almost Family after one season.
Almost Family stared Brittany Snow, Tim Hutton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Emily Osment, Mo McRae, Mustafa Elzein, and Victoria Cartagena.
The series focused on Julia Bechley (Snow) whose world turned upside down. She learns that her father, Doctor Leon Benchley (Hutton), a pioneer in fertility, secretly used his own sperm to father over a hundred children.
While still coming to terms with this revelation, Julia discovers that she has two new half-sisters — her former best friend, Edie Palmer (Echikunwoke), and ex-Olympic athlete Roxy Doyle (Osment).
Almost Family Season 1 is averaging just 1.5 million viewers and a 0.4 rating, with the most recent episode coming in at just 0.8 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.
Even before those ratings, the show was losing a significant chunk of The Masked Singer's ratings, meaning that it was earmarked for cancellation shortly after it premiered.

The fertility clinic has officially closed: Fox has cancelled the drama Almost Family after just one season, TVLine has confirmed.
Almost Family starred Timothy Hutton as a famous fertility doctor who used his own sperm to fertilize dozens of patients; Brittany Snow co-starred as the doctor’s daughter, who connected with two of her newfound half-sisters, played by Emily Osment and Megalyn Echikunwoke. The cast also included Mo McRae, Mustafa Elzein and Victoria Cartagena. (The decision by Fox comes as serious allegations have arisen against Hutton, with a woman accusing Hutton and his friend of raping her in 1983.)

“Almost Family” will not be returning for a second season on Fox.
The series starred Timothy Hutton, against whom an allegation of rape has recently come to light, as a fertility doctor who used his own sperm to conceive more than 100 children over the course of his career. Fox had moved the series to Saturday from its regular Wednesday time slot in mid-January, a pretty obvious signal it was unlikely to last more than 13 episodes.
Brittany Snow starred as one of the aforementioned offspring who united her half siblings, including Megalyn Echikunwoke and Emily Osment, to try and deal with issues that have been affecting their lives. Mustafa Elzein, Mo McRae, and Victoria Cartagena also starred.
“Almost Family” was created by Jason Katims and Annie Weisman and based on the Endemol Shine Australia series “Sisters,” created by Jonathan Gavin and Imogen Banks. Weisman was a writer and executive producer with Katims,...

The Timothy Hutton and Brittany Snow-led drama “Almost Family” has been canceled by Fox after one season, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap Monday.
Executive produced by Jason Katims and Annie Weisman, “Almost Family” followed Julia Bechley (Snow), who finds out her father Leon (Hutton), a prize-winning fertility doctor, used his own genetic material to conceive upwards of dozens of children. Following that revelation, Julia discovers she has two new sisters: her former best friend Edie Palmer (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and ex-Olympic athlete Roxy Doyle (Emily Osment).
News of “Almost Family’s” cancellation came hours after BuzzFeed News published a story in which 50-year-old Canadian model and actress Sera Johnston accused Hutton of raping her in a Vancouver hotel room back in 1983, when she was 14 years old.

"They told me you were the guy who kills killers." Stx Entertainment has debuted a third & final official trailer for the NYC action thriller 21 Bridges. We've seen two solid trailers previously, but the movie was delayed from a September release until late November. The title is a reference to the decision in the movie, during a citywide manhunt, to shut down and block off all 21 bridges that access Manhattan (and all the tunnels and trains). Chadwick Boseman stars as a disgraced detective seeking redemption who gets into the massive manhunt for a cop killer which leads him to discover a massive conspiracy that links his fellow cops to a criminal empire. The main cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, Keith David, Stephan James, Dale Pavinski, Gary Carr, Victoria Cartagena, and Toby Hemingway. So this looks it could be pretty good, or maybe not, only time will tell whether...

Acting is an unpredictable career in which you can’t be sure if you will be part of the cast next time. Your chances of being hired will depend on your performance in a prior play or the auditions. Victoria Cartagena is one actor who perfected her art whenever she was performing, thus facilitating her rise to fame. She has been a character in many films and majorly in “Gotham.” Victoria was not much into acting at a younger age but later developed the passion and is now deep into the industry. Television has reunited many a long-lost group of siblings over the years — shows like Charmed and Sister, Sister come to mind — but Fox’s Almost Family manages to make that familiar concept feel fresh. And also gross.
The new drama, which premiered Wednesday, stars Timothy Hutton (American Crime) as Leon Bechley, a distinguished fertility expert — sorry, “scientist” — whose reputation is destroyed when it’s revealed that he impregnated an undisclosed number of patients (hundreds?!) using his own sperm without their knowledge. No one is more disturbed by this revelation than Julia (American Dreams‘ Brittany Snow), Leon’s only on-record daughter,...

In its first two installments, that’s the case for Fox’s new drama “Almost Family,” a show whose attempts to introduce tonal variation and lightness only emphasize how gruesome is the story at its center. “Almost Family” strives to be a drama about a woman (Brittany Snow) who discovers as an adult that she has several half-siblings whom she has to build bonds with as an adult, and to investigate what the concept of family truly means. Glinting out from behind every moment of tentative connection is the gross fact that her siblings come from her father’s inseminating women, without their consent, with his own genetic material to create his own descendants, a decision that’s neither endorsed nor decried by the series.

Fox’s new fall series Almost Family is about an only child finds her life turned upside down when her father reveals that, over the course of his prize-winning career as a pioneering fertility doctor, he used his own sperm to conceive upwards of a hundred children, including two new sisters. As these three young women slowly embrace their new reality, they will attempt to form an untraditional bond as sisters, even as they must welcome a tidal wave of new siblings into their rapidly expanding family.
“The origin of wanting to tell this story came from this idea that we’re living in a world now where widely available genetic testing just makes it possible for people to suddenly discover that the story of who they are is not the real story,” said writer and executive Annie Weisman during the show’s turn on the TCA stage today. “I...

It will be paired with The Resident, which is leaving its Monday at 8/7c slot.

Now standing as its own entity, Fox can do what it pleases when it comes to new series pickups.
Four new dramas, a live-action comedy, and an animated comedy currently please Fox. Let's take a looks at the dramas!
A serial killer drama titled Prodigal Son, an AI drama called Next, a police drama titled Deputy, and an adaptation of Australian drama Sisters have all gotten series orders.
Considered a good companion piece to the recently renewed Empire, sudser Filthy Rich starring Kim Cattrall is still in contention and deals are underway.
Deptuty comes from Will Beall and eOne and Fox Entertainment studios. Deputy stars Stephen Dorff and is a modern cop drama that blends the spirit of a classic Western with a modern-day attitude and gritty authenticity.

Both “Duncanville” and “Bless the Harts” are co-productions as well. “Duncanville” is produced by Universal Television,...
