The CW's new midseason show will be premiering at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18th. The series centers around a 15 year old orphan who finds – and bonds with – her birth parents. The CW has released promo photos and a synopsis for the pilot episode. You can also view an extended promo that we previously posted.

After spending all of her 15 years bouncing from one foster family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux (Robertson) has decided it’s time to take control of her life and become an emancipated minor. TheCW's new midseason show – Life UneXpected – will be premiering on January 18th and the network is ramping up the publicity train for it. Witness another new extended promo for the episode. I think the girl who plays the daughter is cute and likable, so I'm going to give this show a chance beyond just the pilot. Check out the promo below and don't forgot to view the longer featurette/sneak peek we posted earlier.

As previously announced, theCW would be premiering the new series, Life UneXpected, on January 18th. The network has now created a nearly 5 minute featurette that's primarily a sneak peek and contains scenes from the pilot episode, as well as introducing you to all of the characters.
As mentioned, I've watched the pilot episode and liked it, but Shiri Appleby doesn't look like she could be the mother of a 15 year old. She looks like she's perpetually 25 years old, which she is most definitely going to appreciate when she grows older. The newer cast photo below shows her with a shorter cut that makes her look older, so let's see whether the rest of you are convinced that she could be this young girl's mother.

I watched (and enjoyed) the pilot episode for this show back in the summer (when it used to be called "Parental Discretion" and now theCW has annouced a premiere date for the rebranded Life UneXpected: January 18, 2010 (likely at 9:00 p.m.).
In an effort to air only new episodes on Monday nights, theCW will slot in Life when Gossip Girl goes on hiatus for several weeks in the new year. When Gossip Girl returns, Life will air at 8:00 p.m. while One Tree Hill goes on hiatus.
