In the music industry, several groups and bands have created a long-lasting legacy for themselves. In this, The Pussycat Dolls would definitely be one of the most iconic with their pop beats and iconic dance numbers. The group was created in 1995 and had Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts.

Happy 311 Day to those who celebrate: The band has announced a Summer 2024 tour and premiered their NPR Tiny Desk Concert.

311’s “Unity Tour” with special guests Awolnation and Neon Trees begins on July 20th in Cincinnati. It will make additional stops in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Austin, San Diego, and more before coming to a close in Redmond, Washington on August 31st. See 311’s full touring itinerary below.

Looking to jam with some legends? The Spring 2024 edition of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has been announced, with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, The Offspring guitarist Noodles, and 311 frontman Nick Hexum leading the lineup.

The four-day camp runs April 18th to 21st in Los Angeles. Aspiring singers and instrumentalists will be placed into bands with other campers and receive mentoring from one of Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp’s rockstar counselors, including Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent), Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Todd Morse (The Offspring), Vinny Appice, Gary Hoey, Tommy Black (Scott Weiland), and camp musical director Britt Lightning (Vixen), among others.

The camp will culminate with a pair of gigs at Whisky a Go Go and The Viper Room, where campers will get to perform alongside Smith, Noodles, and Hexum.

“I am looking forward to jamming with the campers this April,” said Smith in a press release.

311 reflect on their nearly three-decade career in Enlarged to Show Detail 3, the third installment of their ongoing documentary series. The film premieres in theaters nationwide on, fittingly, March 11th (3/11) for one-night-only screenings.

The eclectic alt-rock band produced Enlarged to Show Detail 3 with Wayne Price, director of the Nashville/country-focused 2015 doc Heartworn Highways Revisited. 311 frontman Nick Hexum knows how to deliver a baby at home. While he and wife Nikki have planned to deliver their second child at home with the help of a midwife, the vocalist/rhythm guitarist for the rock band was forced to perform the delivery himself when his wife suddenly went into labor on May 1.

The 41-year-old rocker shared the birth story of his second daughter, Maxine, to People. "After Max's head popped out, the delivery stalled for the next couple of contractions. The baby's head was blue and the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck," he recalled. "I was worried the cord was choking her, keeping blood from getting to her brain."

Tennis star Venus Williams has showed off her singing and dancing skills while boarding the 311 Caribbean Cruise. The former World No. 1 player did some karaoke in front of the rock band's fans as they cruised from Miami to Turks & Caicos, and her performance has been captured on tape.

A fan of the band herself, the 30-year-old athlete was joined by two other women in singing 311's song "You Wouldn't Believe". Entertaining the crowd, she and her two friends also threw in some choreographed moves. TMZ reported that her group was randomly chosen to be in the karaoke contest, whose judge was the band's lead singer Nick Hexum.

Venus has previously expressed her excitement to sing karaoke on the cruise. On Tuesday, March 1, the older sister of another tennis star Serena Williams tweeted, "Been singin Karaoke around the world for years,Thailand, Japan, Korea,USA...hope this can prepare me for the biggest challenge ever.

Monday is always a weird day to celebrate your birthday, but there is little doubt that 311 guitarist and singer Nick Hexum will be toasting and eating cupcakes today, as it's his 40th birthday. The Omaha native has no shortage of things to celebrate. Last month, the group executed its latest 311 Day, which was actually a three day festival that celebrated both the group's long career and their adoring fans. Formed way back in 1988, 311 have evolved from a Red Hot Chili Peppers-esque rock-funk hybrid to something entirely unique, blending together alternative rock, metal, funk, hip-hop, reggae and jam music into one giant ever-morphing stew of sound. Though they developed an early grassroots following, they first grabbed national attention in 1995 when they dropped their self-titled third album, which contained the modern rock radio hits "Down," "Don't Stay Home" and "All Mixed Up.

"It's the most epic show in the world," declared die-hard fan Matthew Brill of 311 Day, a five-hour-plus marathon of music put on by veteran mellow rockers 311.

Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas served as the worship center for the most holy of holidays for 311 fans (March 11, of course). Fans lined up as early as 1 p.m. to secure spots close to the stage, which was tricked out with the most advanced stage displays that the band has ever used.

311 shirts plastered the arena as eager fans waited for the show to begin, shortly after 7:30 p.m. As the boys from Omaha hit the stage, the sold-out crowd rejoiced as loudly as the reverberating amplifiers that were blaring the opening notes of "Jackpot.

This week, 311 celebrate their fans and their music during a three day festival called 311 Day. We sent two 311 superfans to give us the diehard's perspective about the show, the crowds and the vibe of the greatest 72 hours in 311 history..

So I just got back from interviewing 311. Without a doubt, that was one of the single most awesome experiences of my life.

Lauren and I were brought into the Mandalay Bay Events Center to the backstage area. We were both a little geeked out when we realized we were doing the interviews in Nick Hexum's dressing room. The whole time, I just kept thinking "I'm in Nick's dressing room! Are you kidding me?"

After figuring out our questions and shooting a little intro, we waited for the band. While we were waiting, we heard voices in the hallway, and then all of a sudden, Tim Mahoney came walking around the corner.

One fan threatened to quit his job in order to come.

Las Vegas — It might have been the day before 311 Day, but the festivities were already in full swing Wednesday night at the Jet nightclub at the Mirage Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The official 311 Fan Party at Jet served as the epicenter for die-hard fans from all over the country to converge — and converge they did.

Fans packed the line in droves even before the doors opened at 9 p.m. Jet let its usual formal dress code slide for the night, allowing fans to show their true colors in 311 T-shirts, hats, and plenty of tattoos. By 11 p.m., the line of fans stretched all the way to the entrance of the Mirage. But you didn't have to see them to feel their presence — their chants of "311!" could be...

You should be proud of yourselves, 311 fans. Last week, we asked you to make videos to put forth your case for being the special MTV News correspondent at 2010 311 Day (which launches this week) and you delivered in incredibly impressive ways. MTV News received dozens of entries, most of which were exceptionally clever, passionate, funny, envelope-pushing and entertaining. In collaboration with the 311 camp, MTV News has selected the winner of the contest. But before we make the official announcement, we wanted to get your feedback on some of the finalists.

First, there's JessAnn. She assumed a male alter-ego to interview herself, and has been a fan since '94. She's been to 35 shows in eight different states and has been to two previous 311 Days. She was planning on heading out to Las Vegas to hang around even though she forgot to get tickets. Is her "Freak Out"-fueled submission the best of the bunch?...

Billy Tompkins/Retna It’s a girl for 311 singer/guitarist Nick Hexum and wife Nikki! The couple welcomed daughter Echo Hexum at approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, August 29th following a homebirth, according to a Tweet from Nick. Of the experience he writes,

“Words cannot describe how amazing it was. Time to go to bed.”

Just four hours later Nick, 39, followed up with “thanks, you guys…my heart sings today,” and on Tuesday said, “Day three of parenting. This is the greatest thing ever.”

Echo is the first child for the couple, who were married last New Year’s Eve.
