John 5 and Richie Kotzen have announced a Fall 2025 US co-headlining tour.

The two guitarists will kick off the outing on October 16th in El Cajon, California, with co-headlining dates running through November 25th in Denver. The route will hit major cities such as Dallas, Orlando, and the Chicago area, among other smaller markets, and will be followed by a November 29th show in Pioneertown, California, that features John 5 only.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday (May 15th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code Freestyle. General ticket sales start Friday (May 16th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Renowned Hong Kong director and producer Soi Cheang is repping his country for the first time in the International Feature Oscar category, with this year’s box office hit Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. Hong Kong has selected box office hit Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In as its best international feature film entry for the 2025 Oscars.

The film’s selection was announced by the Federation of Motion Picture Producers of Hong Kong.

Directed by Soi Cheang, Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In has grossed close to $100 million at the global box office. The film played out-of-competition as a midnight screening at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Based on Andy Seto’s Chinese comic City of Darkness, the film is set in the 1980s and follows Chan Lok-kwun (played by Raymond Lam), an illegal migrant attempting to pay his way to a fake ID. After having to flee triad boss Mr. Big (played by Sammo Hung), Chan takes refuge in Kowloon City.

The film also stars Louis Koo, Ritchie Jen, Terrance Lau, Kenny Wong and Philip Ng.

“Emily in Paris” Season 4 delivered just the right amount of chaos, high fashion and whimsy we needed as the summer comes to a close.

But, with just five episodes in Season 4 Part 1, this season of the Netflix drama is ready to be binged in mere hours. Luckily, Part 2, which will include the latter five episodes of Season 4, will return on Sept. 12.

In the meantime, “Emily in Paris” creator Darren Star has plenty of lighter fare shows full of great fashion from “Sex and the City” — and its later offshoot “The Carrie Dairies” — to “Younger.” If you watch the Lily Collins-lead series for escapism, campy comedies like “Dollface” or “Drop Dead Diva” might also scratch the whimsical itch.

The new Chinese action thriller film from Hong Kong, Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, proves this point brilliantly, and it is really no wonder that the film has already become the second-highest-grossing domestic film in the Chinese state. When an illegal immigrant named Chan Lok-kwun ends up in the Kowloon Walled City, he starts to become part of the criminal underbelly until some threatening revelations are made about his identity. The intricate detailing and grand production, a range of Hong Kong superstars all appearing together, and, of course, the amazingly choreographed action scenes make Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In an absolute must-watch for fans of Asian action flicks.

Studio Politics Stands in the Way of Art & Expression

While numerous decisions factor into the making of a film or television project, one thing remains fairly constant: casting the perfect actor for the job.

British producer Peter Collins, known for his work with Rush and Queensrÿche, has died at the age of 73.

Collins was perhaps best known for his production credits on four Rush albums in the 1980s and ’90s: Power Windows (1985), Hold Your Fire (1987), Counterparts (1993), and Test for Echo (1996).

He also notably produced Queensrÿche’s biggest albums — 1988’s Operation: Mindcrime and 1990’s Empire — as well as Alice Cooper’s 1991 LP Hey Stoopid, Suicidal Tendencies’ The Art of Rebellion (1992), and Bon Jovi’s These Days (1995).

Outside of metal and hard rock, Collins was behind the boards on numerous hits throughout the 1980s by the likes of Nik Kershaw, Musical Youth, Tracey Ullman, Alvin Stardust, and Gary Moore.

Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, as well as the band’s official account, paid tribute to the late producer on social media.

Lee posted the following in remembrance of Collins:

“So sad to hear of the passing of Peter Collins.

Mr. Big have released the video for “Up on You” — the second single from their forthcoming album Ten, out July 12th.

The track is an accomplished hard-rock strutter bolstered by crystal-clear production and the ace performances typical of Mr. Big. The band has some fun with a descending scale and some pop flare in the chorus, while singer Eric Martin exercises his impressive vocal range throughout the track.

Meanwhile, the music video lets us in on a Mr. Big concert staple — the ol’ “Switcheroo” — where the band trade instruments at the end of the set. In the case of this clip, all four members of the band are seen playing each instrument and singing.
