Harry Lin

Harry Lin was born in Oklahoma to immigrant parents from Taiwan. He was
raised mostly in the Midwest near Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin. He
attended Downers Grove South High School and then Cornell
University.
Harry also has a master's in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
His first job was as a reporter and news anchor for KQED-FM in San Francisco.
In the mid-1990s, he joined an Internet start-up. Soon he was working at The Walt Disney Internet Group during the first "dotcom bubble". He was vice president of ABC.com in the early 2000's.
Harry also was general manager of Evite, the online party invitation web site.
During this period, Harry produced two short films by Cynthia Liu: "Red Thread" and "A. Eye for the White Guy".
In 2008, Harry returned to technology start-ups, including a run as entrepreneur-in-residence at Idealab, the tech incubator in southern California.
In October 2013, Harry joined Amazon as head of business development for IMDb. He is currently a manager at Amazon Advertising.
