Son of Patricia Ann Gimelstob and Barry S. Gimelstob of New Vernon, New Jersey; Son-in-law of Rosa Lee Kendall Sinott and Robert Vose Sinott of Los Angeles, California. His wife is the descendant of Richard Warren, a passenger on the Mayflower.
He is on the Board of Directors for the Association of Tennis Professionals. From 1996 to 2007, he played professional tennis winning 13 A.T.P. World Tour double titles and the 1998 Australian and French Open mixed-doubles championships with tennis partner, Venus Williams.
He is a broadcaster for the Tennis Channel, CBS, and NBC television networks. He also owns Without Limits Productions company in Los Angeles, California.
