Burger King upsets the haters, the rise of the intergenerational gay couple, why George Takei loves America even when it betrayed him
Fresh off calling Michele Obama a “tranny,” Joan Rivers sat down with CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield to talk about her new book. After some joking around, Whitfield asked legitimate questions, like if Rivers felt she was mean to celebrities, or how she could call herself an animal rights activist and wear fur on the cover of her book. It was at that point that Rivers told her she was the wrong person to interview someone who does humor, and left the set of the live interview. I get that Joan thinks being a comedienne gives her a blank check to say whatever she wants, but it doesn’t excuse her from answering to it, and reporters aren’t just there to be a part of your PR machine.

If you’ve got some time, I highly recommend heading over to Eaddy Mays’ Tumblr post about shipping. She asked followers about canon vs fanon, the dialog and responsibilities between fandom and creators, and expectations. She collected a mountain of responses, published them, and added her perspective. It covered Sterek vs. Dyler, queerbaiting, using fanon ships to promote a show, differences in fandoms like Supernatural, Teen Wolf, and Johnlock, and overall was really more thoughtful than I could ever do justice. But it’s wonderful seeing an actress listening and responding.
I honestly did watch the video of the One Direction boys smoking pot. Big deal. So I had missed that Louis made a racial slur and used “gay” in a derogatory fashion. Fans are now demanding an apology.

In a new interview, Matt Bomer reveals he’s been a married man since 2011. Does that mean we have to go back and amend all those stories where we talked about his “partner” Simon Halls?
Judge Michael McShane has denied Nom’s request to delay the marriage equality trial in Oregon so they can intervene. But he did schedule a hearing on standing for May 1, making it unlikely that activists will get a ruling before the May 23 deadline to turn in signatures for a ballot initiative.

We all know season one of MTV’s Teen Wolf was much better than season two. Part of the problem was there seemed no clear direction for the characters anymore. All the best parts that made the show so much better in season one, the relationships between Scott and Stiles, Derek and Stiles, Stiles and his dad, Scott and Allison, Stiles and Lydia, Scott and his Mom were pushed to the side lines in favor of a muddle mythology that you knew how was going to end when former Battlestar Galactica actor Michael Hogan arrived in episode one. You knew from the start that he was a prick and unredeemable so it made his mustache twirling more annoying than you would expect.
I also had issues with actress Eaddy Mays, who played Allison’s un-approving Mom. She was so cold, such a stereotype of a frigid woman –though Scott’s...

If you reside in the Us then you're in luck because Marcus Dunstan ('Piranha 3Dd') and Patrick Melton's ('Saw 3D') horror follow-up to the gruesome home invasion thriller 'The Collector' hits theatres today. 'The Collection' opens today and sees Josh Stewart ('The Dark Knight Rises') reliving his nightmares experienced in the first installment and the opening 6 minutes of the movie has premiered online. I'm not sure how I feel about watching the opening minutes of any movie to be honest. I understand why its done but I always want to experience the whole movie from start to finish uninterupted on my own time, not pieces of clips or opening sequences watched out of order and leaving my overactive brain to piece it altogether before I've even sat in my cinema seat. But if you're intrigued enough then head below and check out the clip.

Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan latest film, The Collection is a sequel to 2009s The Collector, which they wrote and Dunstan directed and in just a few short days the film will hit theaters on November 30th, 2012.
No big deal, but until that date we have scored a brand new official clip.
Dunstan recently said:
So many PG-13 horror films these days center around a teen cast where everybody looks like they’ve been Photoshopped. Within the first 10 minutes, we lined up every stereotype – the hot chick and her sassy best friend, and the cheating boyfriend – so you think: ‘I know exactly where this is going.’ Suddenly, at minute 13, we go all out and it’s: ‘Whoa, what the hell is this?’
As you might remember in The Collector, Arkin (Josh Stewart) escapes from captivity. This time Dunstan said:

Nomad has written in with yet another description of some of the eye candy that was shown at this year's New York Comic Con. Read on to see what was on tap for the sequel to The Collector, Marcus Dunstan's The Collection.
Footage Description
Two girls and a guy walk down a glossy alleyway. The trio are dressed for clubbing but are draped in shadow. One of the girls mentions that the club is password only... the word being "Nevermore." Just then a door bursts open on the left and an industrial-style, heavily pierced man stands there glaring. The moment lasts a few beats before one of the girls steps forward, gathers her courage and says "Nevermore." The man raises his hand and triggers a metal door to their right and music is heard from within. The door attendant heads back behind his door and the trio enter the club.

No doubt we enter into the fall traditional mix of prestige films, comedies, and horrors. Such is the case with Marcus Dunstan’s The Collection, which premiered at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas and seems to be getting some solid reviews.

Marcus Dunstan's first feature film as director was The Collector from 2009. This was a film that had some similarities to the Saw franchise as a trap lurked around every corner. In fact, Dunstan was the writer for at least four Saw films. He has decided to follow up the relative success of the original with a second film named The Collection. The sequel also brings traps and perhaps some manipulation as seen in the film's first trailer. The character Arkin, played by Josh Stewart, returns and this time he is tasked with finding the Collector in his hideout. Except, this is a place built of nightmares and toothy spikes. Have a look at the first clip for The Collection below. Release Date: November 30th (Theatrical). Director: Marcus Dunstan. Writers: Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Cast: Daniel Sharman, Erin Way, Josh Stewart, Christopher McDonald, Lee Tergesen, Navi Rawat, Johanna Braddy,...

Teen Wolf 2.09 Review: Dead Man's Party...
It was Lydia's party last night on Teen Wolf, but she wasn't the one crying when everything was all said and done.
Last night's episode finally revealed just who has controlled Jackson/The Kanima all season, and while the culprit makes sense, you still couldn't help but feel slightly cheated after the reveal. The episode also saw "beloved" character bite the dust, albeit by their own terms, and Peter the Alpha finally resurfaced to cause more havoc for the rest of the season. The latter development still leaves me puzzled to just what Lydia's party had to do with Peter's resurrection, but I will get back to that in a second. Let's first start with the Kanima master reveal.
So Matt has been the one calling the shots with Jackson and his Kanima dark side. As stated above, Matt being the Kanima master makes sense,...

Plus: One of our favorites suffers a devastating loss, a terrifying evil returns, and Stiles battles a really big birthday present. After the July 23 episode of Teen Wolf, I think it's official: Lydia (Holland Roden) throws the best parties in Beacon Hills. I wouldn't exactly call them 'fun' — because, you know, everybody either hallucinates or dies — but they're definitely memorable. Let's get the biggest shocker out the way first: Matt (Stephen Lunsford) is the one controlling Jackson (Colton Haynes)! When Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) saw that Matt couldn't swim in Lydia's pool, they put two and two together — the Kanima hates water and Matt's a freakin' psychopath — and reached their "a ha!" moment. And now for the sad portion of tonight's episode: Mrs. Argent (Eaddy Mays) decided she couldn't live as a werewolf, and thusly had Mr. Argent (J.R. Bourne) kill her just as she was beginning...

Teen Wolf: Karma Kamina
Well, damn. What just happened on Teen Wolf? Answer: a whole freaking lot! Where do we even begin?
Lydia's New Friend is Actually An Old Enemy
Who would have pieced together that Lydia's new friend's identity was either an alter-ego or younger version of Peter Hale? No one and that's what made it brilliant. There was a theory that the guy was not real to begin with, but that's as far as speculation went. So what in God's name could Peter want Lydia to do? And what could it have to do with the wolfsbane flower? Is she supposed to move the flower away from Peter's "grave?" If that's the case, Derek's reign as Alpha might be over...

Teen Wolf
“Ice Pick” Air Date: 6/11/2012
Last season, MTV’s Teen Wolf suffered from having to endure the boring, tired and true origin story of a young werewolf. We’ve seen variations of it in every superhero movie, in Smallville, hell we saw it in the original Teen Wolf (yeah, it was a little different) and we’ll see it time and time again. Now that that’s mercilessly over, and the Scott/Allison love story is established, Teen Wolf can focus on other characters and broadening its increasingly furry universe. The result has been interesting, which is a start.
We open on Allison, filling up at the local gas station, alone, at night. She’s alone at night far too often. To make that point for me, Allison is kidnapped and tied up. Across from her, in the nondescript basement, is her Dad, Argent (Jr Bourne), struggling out of his bonds.
