Seattle Children’s Hospital has sued Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) over what they consider an invasive and unlawful request from his office to turn over information on Texas residents who received gender-affirming care at the out-of-state hospital.
The hospital is seeking to have a November subpoena issued by Paxton dismissed by the Travis County District Court. The Texas attorney general had demanded unredacted access to information on Texan children who have been treated at the hospital, their medication, diagnoses, as well as lab and test results.

Lizzo performed in Omaha, Nebraska this weekend, where a newly passed bill introduces restrictions on abortion and gender-affirming care. At the show, the singer took the opportunity to speak out against the law, imploring her audience, “don’t let anybody tell you who you are.”
“Anybody who comes to a Lizzo show should know that I am for people to have the right to healthcare — reproductive and gender-affirming,” she said. The artist grew emotional noting the amount of children in the crowd, particularly because LB574 bans gender-affirming care for Nebraskans under 19.
“It really breaks my heart that there are young people growing up in a world that doesn’t protect them,” she said. “So let me be your safe space tonight.”
“Young people, don’t let anybody tell you who you are,” she continued. “Don’t let any laws tell you who you’re not. You are who you are,...

J.K. Rowling is stirring up controversy again regarding the LGBTQ+ community.
The globally acclaimed author recently retweeted a tweet demanding the removal of the ‘Tq’ from the ‘LGBTQ+’ community flag, the rainbow flag with an arrowhead stemming from the left.
The arrowhead arches are pink and blue, which represent transgender people, and brown and black, which represent LGBTQ+ people of colour and people who’ve contracted HIV/AIDs.
In the politically charged tweet that Rowling shared on her account, an activist shared an image of the flag with the triangular arches blurred out, representing the removal of their representation from the LGBTQ+ flag.

The right’s war on queer and trans people took center stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference as Daily Wire host Michael Knowles on Saturday called for the eradication of “transgenderism.”
During his speech on Saturday, Knowles told the crowd, “For the good of society … transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely — the whole preposterous ideology, at every level.”
Knowles subsequently claimed that “eradicating” “transgenderism” is not a call for eradicating transgender people and demanded retractions from numerous publications, including Rolling Stone.
