What’s the saying? Oh yeah… third times the charm and the Resident Evil series is no exception. For our third outing we’re here to explore the aftermath of the apocalypse with Resident Evil: Extinction (watch it Here). This one is pretty divisive with the consensus being some people, like myself, loved this film while others felt this was the beginning of the downward slope of sequels of the franchise. Hear me out as to why I sing its praises. For one, it tells a cohesive story and gives us a side of Alice that we’ve been dying to see. We get more new characters that bring gravitas to the story as well as a fully fleshed out villain and it’s a lot of fun. Plus, its pays homage to The Road Warrior in the best way. So, let’s hit up the Sand Dunes of Vegas,...

Levan Bakhia doesn’t have a lot of credits to his name, and his only other directed movie so far is the sauna-set thriller 247°F. Yet before taking his indefinite leave of absence from filmmaking, Bakhia left the world a disturbing parting gift. His 2015 movie is strictly for fans of disobedient storytelling. Set and filmed in the Georgian director’s homeland, Landmine Goes Click combines a high-concept plot with the brutality of vintage Grindhouse and exploitation movies.
While the country of Georgia has made a conscious effort to clear landmines left over from wartime, there is always going to be the chance that one was overlooked. And unfortunately for the three characters in Landmine Goes Click, they found it. Newly engaged couple Daniel and Alicia and their best friend Chris (Sterling Knight) are backpacking somewhere out in the Georgian countryside, near the mountains and several hours away from the closest town.

Walk. Ride. Rodeo star Max Ehrich was so inspired by meeting and working with the film’s subject — paralyzed rodeo champ Amberley Snyder — that he wanted to write a song about her.
The actor, 27, who plays Snyder’s love interest Tate Watkins in the upcoming film, tells People that he asked Snyder to help write the track, which they penned via a series of phone calls in about two days. They later collaborated again on the music video above — a People exclusive for the Netflix film (out March 8).

Here’s the trailer for Walk. Ride. Rodeo., the true story being told by Netflix of Amberley Snyder, a nationally ranked barrel racer who was in a life-changing accident when her vehicle was flipped and she became paralyzed from the waist down.
She was wheelchair bound, but did not let that hold her back from her passion, and was able to retrain herself to ride horses again. It’s an incredible story that is akin to the story of Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm to a shark while surfing and was able to get back on her board and ride the waves again. I guess when you have that much talent and determination, and a love for what you do, nothing can stop you!
Spencer Locke (Resident Evil: Extinction & Afterlife) stars as Amberley Snyder, with a supporting cast that includes Missi Pyle, Bailey Chase (24: Legacy), and Sherri Shepherd.

"Rodeo isn't something I 'do', it's really – it's who I am." Netflix has debuted the first official trailer for an inspirational indie drama titled Walk. Ride. Rodeo., based on a true story about a young barrel racer who keeps racing despite a bad accident. The film tells the incredible true story of Amberley Snyder, a nationally ranked rodeo barrel racer who defies the odds after barely surviving a car accident that leaves her paralyzed from the waist down. Spencer Locke stars Amberley, with a full cast including Missi Pyle, Bailey Chase, Sherri Shepherd, Max Ehrich, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Raleigh Cain, and Barbara Alyn Woods. This is another one of these extra cheesy tearjerkers, with all the cliche lines of dialogue about overcoming anything and chasing your dreams. Here's the first official trailer for Conor Allyn's Walk. Ride. Rodeo., direct from Netflix's YouTube: The incredible true...

"The universe demands balance. For there to be life, there must be death." Cinedigm has released an official trailer for an indie horror thriller film titled The Final Wish, which just premiered at the Screamfest Film Festival earlier this fall. The film is about a man who returns home after the death of his father, to help his grief-stricken mother and to confront his past. While going through his dad's belongings, he comes across a mysterious item that is more than it seems. That's the only plot details provided, and this trailer doesn't help explain anything. The Final Wish stars horror iconic Lin Shaye, along with Michael Welch, Melissa Bolona, Tony Todd, Spencer Locke, and Kaiwi Lyman. Unfortunately this film looks like yet another derivative, repetitive supernatural horror without much of anything new to offer the genre. Check it anyway. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Timothy Woodward Jr's The Final Wish,...

Produced by Status Media & Entertainment, the film, which premiered earlier this year at Los Angeles’ Screamfest Horror Film Festival, follows a young man (Michael Welch), struggling in his life and career, who returns home to his devastated mother (Shaye) following the passing of his father, an antiques collector.
Once home, he encounters a run of good luck but can’t shake the feeling that there is something sinister at work, and these events may be tied to a mysterious antiquity that, legend has it, grants wishes but kills and steals souls in return. Spencer Locke, Melissa Bolona and Tony Todd also star.

2017 was a great year for horror. Between It, Get Out, Annabelle: Creation, Cult of Chucky and more, the genre absolutely dominated and it’s probably safe to say that fans were spoilt for choice. But believe it or not, 2018 may be even better. With The Purge: The Island, Halloween, The Nun, The Conjuring 3 and a few others all on the way, this year looks set to be another great one and it’ll all kick off this week with Insidious: The Last Key.
Releasing on Friday, January 5th, we’ve already seen quite a bit from the film, but today, the studio’s premiered one final clip which promises some truly creepy moments to come. Though not terribly long, the footage we have here is a nice appetizer for the main course, as it sees a young girl peering through a keyhole with a voice asking her to open the door.

I enjoy watching behind-the-scenes footage from films because it gives us a look at what it is like to be on the set of a film production. Today we have some very cool behind-the-scenes footage for the upcoming horror film Insidious: The Last Key.
This next film in the franchise offers new details on the mythology and centers around the parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) as she faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet. The haunted house that she will be dealing with in this story, is her own family home, the home that she grew up in. It doesn't look like she had the most pleasant childhood.
The film was written by Insidious co-creator Leigh Whannell (Saw). He wrote every film in the trilogy and directed Insidious: Chapter 3. The movie was produced by Insidious regulars Jason Blum, Oren Peli, and co-creator James Wan. This fourth film was...

Had things played out differently, Insidious: The Last Key would have released just in time for Halloween, which was sorely lacking in the ‘good scary movies’ department.
Barring Cult of Chucky, Jigsaw and Happy Death Day came and went without much fanfare, while the less said about The Snowman, the better. But fear not, horror fans, as there is light at the end of the tunnel (or should that be keyhole?), as The Last Key is now prepped and ready to send a shiver down our spines early next month.
It’s the direct sequel to Insidious: Chapter 3, which itself was a prequel to the first two Insidious films. Messy continuity aside, The Last Key looks to be fluent in scares and unrelenting tension, as parapsychologist and all-around franchise lead Elise Rainier returns home to confront her greatest fears. Insidious: The Last Key, the fourth instalment of Blumhouse’s lucrative and beloved horror series, has been a long time coming.
Not unlike Paramount’s canned Friday the 13th movie before it, The Last Key was originally scheduled to premiere this Halloween, before Blumhouse forfeited its window and left All Hallow’s Eve in the decaying hands of The Jigsaw Killer.
It’s since moved to January of 2018, and though the first month of any year is usually filled with unwanted sequels and would-be Hollywood flops, we’re starting to see more and more new releases buck tradition and hit it big at the box office. Here’s looking at you, Split.

I'm a huge fan of the Insidious horror movie franchise! I've enjoyed all the films that have been made so far and this fourth film looks so awesomely creepy! Today we have a new trailer for Insidious: The Last Key and it features some great and scary new footage! I'm pretty excited to see this movie! I'm sure it will scare the crap out of audiences.
The story offers new details on the mythology and centers around the parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) as she faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet. The haunted house that she will be dealing with in this story, is her own family home, the home that she grew up in. And let's just say life growing up in that home was a terrifying experience.
As the story plays out during their investigation we learn about the early life of Elise before she became a parapsychologist.

One more promo/extended TV spot/trailer has just landed for Insidious: The Last Key, that lands in cinemas in early January. It looks like this...
From September 2017
“Be careful, you’re about to touch it,” a paranormal investigator is warned in the first trailer for Insidious: The Last Key, the fourth film in the Insidious horror franchise. The mystic also has to touch on her own past as she ventures deep into the further to end the evil. She doesn’t have memories, she has scars.
Insidious co-creator Leigh Whannell, who directed Insidious: Chapter Three and wrote the screenplays for the previous three movies in the franchise, wrote the script this time, too. Insidious: The Last Key is directed by Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan), who is new to the series.

Horror comes home in the creepy first trailers for Insidious: The Last Key.
Featuring a somber narration from Lin Shaye’s series mainstay, Dr. Elise Rainier, today’s first-look promo dials the terror up to 11 when a curious young woman comes face-to-face with a supernatural entity. So far, so familiar.
But where The Last Key sets itself apart is in its personnel behind the scenes. Case in point: Although Insidious co-creator Leigh Whannell penned the screenplay, Blumhouse and Universal Pictures tapped relative newcomer Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan) to direct, and the result is a horror sequel that is decidedly different from its next of kin. Visually, at least.
It’s a wise move for a franchise that was beginning to falter at the box office – Insidious 2 scored a commendable $162 million worldwide, while Chapter 3 struggled to muster anything more than $112m – so here’s hoping Chapter...

Creepy Fun Trailer For Insidious: The Last Key! Dr. Elise Rainier Will Confront Her Nightmarish Past
"To end this evil, I need to go deep into the further."
The first trailer has been released for Insidious: The Last Key! This is the fourth film in the Insidious horror movie franchise and it looks really good! I'm a big fan of this franchise and I like the direction that they are taking this latest film.
The story centers around the brilliant parapsychologist Dr.
Her experiences in this home are obviously the reason that she does what she does.

Wait, there’s another one of these? Not that we were following the “Insidious” franchise all that closely to begin with, but I had no idea the series has already managed to get to four films. Huh. I’m not gonna pretend I have any idea what’s going on in the storyline, so I’ll throw down the information you need to know, and you can take it from there.

The British Board of Film Classification has unearthed a listing for Insidious: Chapter 4, revealing the sequel’s subtitle to be The Last Key. But what could it mean?
Thankfully, it won’t be too much longer before we have some footage to mull over; Trailer Track is reporting that The Last Key‘s inaugural teaser, which will likely screen before It this coming weekend, is officially in the can. Clocking in at only 61 seconds in length, this is very much a first-look promo for Insidious: Chapter 4, which is just as well considering modern-day horror films have a tendency to showcase too much, too soon via extensive marketing campaigns.
Behind the lens for this one is Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan), who has been faced with the somewhat tricky challenge of delivering a competent successor to Chapter 3, after it conjured up a box office tally in excess...

Insidious: Chapter 4 arrives in cinemas a little later now...
A quick update: Insidious Chapter 4 had been scheduled for release in cinemas this coming October, but it's been hit by a slight delay. The horror sequel is now arriving in the Us on January 5th 2018, and we expect that change to be reflected in its UK release date. On the schedules, it's been replaced by another horror from the Jason Blum stable, Half To Death, about which we don't know too much right now.
From August 2016
Here’s a franchise that shows no sign of slowing down. Horror series Insidious is now up to its fourth chapter, and production has begun on the new movie. This time around, Adam Robitel is directing, having previously steered low budget horror thriller The Taking in 2014.

Deadline brings word today that Kirk Acevedo (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Bruce Davison (The Lords of Salem), Spencer Locke (Resident Evil: Extinction), and Caitlin Gerard have become the last-minute casting additions to Universal and Blumhouse’s horror sequel, Insidious: Chapter 4.
Character details for that new quartet are being kept firmly under lock and key and safely stowed away in The Further for now, but we know that Chapter 4 is booked in to arrive on October 20 of 2017. It’ll be helmed by director Adam Robitel – a newcomer to Blumhouse’s low-budget, high-profit series – with a script from franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell.
Throughout the history of Insidious, Whannell has been a true cornerstone of the series since its inception, penning scripts for all four installments and generally ensuring those Blumhouse pictures scored well across financial and critical circles. Indeed, after taking the reins on the previous three Insidious films,...

Generally speaking, I’m a fan of the ‘protagonist(s) are trapped in a single location’ sub-genre of the thriller. I have previously enjoyed a lot of them, such as 127 Hours, Fermat’s Room, Exam, Phone Booth, Buried, Cube; even trashier fare like Devil (which, as @MatBarnett correctly points out, should really have been called ‘Hellevator‘) has entertained me. Landmine Goes Click certainly did not.
The reason all of the above films work, at least on some level, is because when constraints are imposed on a narrative, it’s not just the protagonists that have to think creatively. Filmmakers are forced to try different ways of telling their stories both in a practical sense (how are we going to shoot this and keep it interesting?...

With a baffling backstory about the meteor that killed the dinosaurs, this new jungle animation does not go with a swing
Here's a muddled and dull new family film about Tarzan, who in keeping with tradition is as clean-shaven and all-over hairless as any male stripper. Walt Disney's ownership of the copyright having expired, the German firm Constantin Films opened its chequebook and cranked out this English-language Disney knock-off: a very moderate motion-capture animation, stripping the tale of any wit and burdening it with a pointless and baffling sci-fi backstory about the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. While the film world fervently awaits the live-action adaptation of Tarzan, set for a 2016 release, in the meantime comes yet another reimagining of the classic tale, with director Reinhard Klooss marking the fictional creation’s centenary year with an animated offering. While certainly enjoyable, it lacks any true individuality, causing us to sincerely hope that David Yates’ impending endeavour shows a little more ingenuity.
Kellan Lutz, renowned primarily for his performance as Emmett Cullen in the Twilight franchise, voices the eponymous lead, who is left abandoned in the jungle when victim of a helicopter crash as a child, which killed both of his parents. He was then raised in the wild by gorillas, adapting their mannerisms and culture. Years later, now one of the most agile creatures in the jungle, he makes human contact for the first time – with the adventurer Jane Porter (Spencer Locke), as the pair come up...

★★★☆☆With 2014 marking the 100th anniversary of author Edgar Rice Burroughs' most famous creation, Tarzan the Ape Man, it seemed inevitable that someone would make a new film for the character. The 19th time the story has appeared on the big screen, Reinhard Klooss' Tarzan (2013) begins with an accident in which the parents of young J.J. (Craig Garner) - heir to the Greystoke Energies business empire - are killed in the African jungle, leaving the boy alone in the wild. Found and taken care of by a female gorilla and her band, J.J. grows to become the man known only as Tarzan (Kellan Lutz). Years later, Jane Porter (Spencer Locke) meets Tarzan when travelling in the jungle with her father, an employee of Greystoke.

Despite the seismic critical and commercial failure of Disney's John Carter, Hollywood hasn't been deterred from diving back into the Edgar Rice Burroughs literary archives for feature film material. Tarzan, an animated adventure arriving ahead of Warner Bros's Alexander Skarsgård-led blockbuster, will hope to fare better than the Mars-marooned Civil War veteran did in 2012.
Heroes are in vogue on the big screen right now, whether they're clad in superhero spandex or a loincloth - and Tarzan certainly has a sturdier cinematic history than John Carter, even if he did have to suffer through Phil Collins's caterwauling.
Fortunately this German-produced take on the story doesn't have the ex-Genesis man to contend with, but it does suffer from a thrifty corner-cutting...
