Police have identified a third victim who died following a stampede at GloRilla’s Rochester, New York concert, according to new reports.
False fears of a shooting at the rapper’s upstate New York concert sent a crowd surging towards the exits in a stampede that killed two people and left at least eight others injured, police said.
The casualties at Sunday (5 March) night’s concert featuring GloRilla and Finesse2tymes were caused by people being trampled, Police Chief David M Smith said at a news briefing on Monday (6 March).
“We do not have any evidence of gunshots being fired or of anyone being shot or stabbed at the scene,” Smith said.
As the concert at Rochester’s Main Street Armory ended just after 11pm Est, people exiting the venue began to surge dangerously. Police made their way inside and found three women with critical injuries, Smith said.

On Sunday evening, thousands of fans poured into Rochester, New York’s Main Street Armory for a concert set to be headlined by GloRilla, one of hip-hop’s fastest rising stars. Among them were 28-year-old Tamira De Jesus, who had heard mixed reviews about the venue in the past – claims that suggested that it should have been shut down long ago and more sinister accusations that it was a “death trap”. But once inside the venue, her experience at first clashed against rumors that had often popped up throughout the...

Update: Julep was adopted!
It may be impolite to ask a woman her age, but Julep’s really bears mentioning.
The sweet 18-year-old pooch, who arrived at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, D.C., three weeks ago, is the shelter’s oldest animal in need of a home.
Sadly, the dog — believed to be a hound/pit bull mix — came to the shelter after her owner passed away.
“Julep is a sweet girl, who – given her age – is doing pretty well here at our adoption facility,” David M. Smith, chief communications officer for Humane Rescue Alliance told People in an email.
