He was diagnosed with advanced cancer in February 2014, shortly after leaving office, and announced Oct. 23 he was suspending treatment and a book tour so he could spend more time with family and friends. With America still in New Year's recovery mode, the biggest news story of the day appears to be the big nor'easter that is preparing to barrel down on much of the east coast. New York is looking at 8-10 inches Thursday night into Friday morning, while Boston could get 10-14. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has declared a snow emergency and has already said city schools will remain closed on Friday instead of opening as scheduled.

Cook's publicist didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Boston bombings suspect is awake and finally responding to questions from the authorities. However, after a gun shot to the throat, he is unable to talk, and can only respond by writing his answers.
After suffering serious injuries, Dzhokhar Tsarnarv may never be able to speak again. But that doesn’t mean authorities are giving up on trying to get answers from the suspect who is responsible for the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15.

Security must be handled thoroughly, he said, but the officials handled the whole week spectacularly.

Massachusetts police have now released the thermal imaging video of the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev from April 19. It’s a good thing he was caught, because Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis has also revealed that the two terrorist brothers could have carried out more attacks — they reportedly had at least six bombs in their possession to possibly ‘attack other individuals.’ Keep reading to watch the video.
On April 21, Massachusetts police released the thermal imaging video of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s capture. The video, which uses heat sensing to see through objects, shows the suspect cowering inside a Watertown, Mass. resident’s boat, as police throw flash bang grenades into the boat and use a robot to remove the boat’s tarp before eventually detaining him.

According to "Muppets" fan site ToughPigs.com, The Jim Henson Company had partnered with Chick-Fil-a to feature Jim Henson's Creature Shop toys -- "essentially a plastic tube with cut-out features for customizing your own puppet" -- in their kid's meals from mid-July until August 18th.
However, on Friday, the Jim Henson Company posted the following statement to their Facebook page:
