Betty Chancellor was born on 9 January 1910 in Dublin, Ireland. She was an actress, known for Spring Meeting (1938). She was married to Denis Johnston. She died on 27 April 1984 in Dublin, Ireland.
She acted in the Earl of Longford's play, "Yahoo," at the Westminster Theatre in London, England with Jean Anderson and Noel Iliff in the cast. Peter Powell was director.
She played opposite Orson Welles in Welles's acting debut in "Jew Suss"
at the Gate Theatre Dublin in 1931. Welles later told his biographer, Barbara Leaming, "She was the sexiest thing that ever lived".
