Showrunners and filmmakers began bringing intimacy coordinators onto TV and film sets to ensure that performers felt safe and their boundaries respected while filming sex scenes. But as two top practitioners told TheWrap, the role has expanded to include any depiction of “heightened emotion,” including assaults, deaths and childbirth.
Kathy Kadler, who comes from a nursing background and has been an intimacy coordinator for three years, worked on both seasons of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets.” She found the cast relying on her more often in filming Season 2, in which characters dealt with a stillbirth, cannibalism, murder and dissociative breaks from reality.
Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Teen Taissa on the drama series, expressed how thankful she was to have an intimacy coordinator on set as an overall mental health resource.
“It’s a really grueling, exhausting show,” Brown told TheWrap shortly after filming wrapped on Season 2. “I think people forget that the ’96 timeline,...

“No more breakup bangs,” Meghan Ory says with a laugh. The actress, who’s played practical divorcée and mother of two Abby O’Brien since Chesapeake Shores’ 2016 debut, knows the show’s diehard fans, called “Chessies,” will be excited to hear it. After spending time getting over love Trace (Jesse Metcalfe), Abby is ready to move on in the series’ sixth and final season. In last October’s cliffhanger, she left a voicemail message saying, “I think maybe we should give us a try” for one of the two men hoping to date her next. Was it kindhearted third-grade teacher Jay (Greyston Holt) or playful billionaire Evan? “You find out who she called pretty quickly,” Ory offers coyly. “Finally making the decision is her choice to trust herself, go with her heart and take a leap of faith.” Regardless of her pick, Abby will still be in business with Evan...

We’re only a week away from finding out if Abby (Meghan Ory) called Evan (Robert Buckley) or Jay (Greyston Holt) in the Chesapeake Shores Season 5 finale, but as we continue to wait, we want to know who you think she should choose. There’s Jay, the teacher, whom Abby invited as her plus one for Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David’s (Carlo Marks) wedding. It seemed like something could happen between them and he won her over with his photo of her as an example of capturing a perfect moment. Still, in the finale, he admitted that while he had feelings for her, he also liked a guidance counselor at the school and wanted to start something with her unless Abby could tell him there was hope for the two of them. Meanwhile, Abby spent Season 5 bantering with billionaire Evan (and danced with him at the aforementioned wedding). In the finale,...

Apple TV Plus released a trailer for “Invasion,” which launches Oct. 22 with it first three episodes.
The new series hails from Simon Kinberg and David Weil and is set across multiple continents as citizens across the globe struggle to deal with the titular event, which at first presents as smaller and more manageable issues.
“My fellow citizens of the world, what I have to say to you is not something I was ever prepared to say. In Riverdale’s stunning midseason finale, the question of whether Betty will ever give in to her dark impulses is answered.
This Riverdale review contains spoilers.
Since making her comic book debut in late 1941, Betty Cooper has become an archetype for the so-called all American girl next door. Beautiful and blonde were her original personality traits. However, the comics were much smarter than to just let Betty become a tired ditzy stereotype. Through the writing of Archie legends like Frank Doyle, George Gladir and Kathleen Webb, Betty Cooper was transformed into a character to be reckoned with.
Across the decades, Betty had been established as everything from Riverdale’s best mechanic to endlessly loyal and forgiving – making her a perfect foil to the oft-snobbish Veronica in the process. Just as Betty’s obsession with Archie was reaching levels of absurdity in the 1970s, the publisher decided to go meta. The...

Everybody's always up to something on Riverdale, especially if they work for the FBI. In last week's episode, Betty's FBI friend/maybe boyfriend Glen (Greyston Holt) showed up and spilled the truth to Alice (Madchen Amick) that Polly (Tiera Skovbye) might be dead. In tonight's episode, he and Betty (Lili Reinhart) sit down for dinner and we've got a concerning exclusive clip. During the dinner, Betty reveals some troubling facts we can only assume are about Juniper and Dagwood, Polly's twins. "They pushed a kid down the stairs, Glen. On purpose," she says. "And...

This week we are introduced to two new characters, Alice’s personal hitman, the Rifle (Garfield Wilson), and Alfred Pennyworth’s (Bruce Wayne’s butler) daughter, Julia Pennyworth (Christina Wolfe), which adds to an already deep roster of characters for the series. These new mysterious characters only add to the theme this week, which is secrets and everyone in this series seems to have them but what happens when they are revealed?
Julia has a history with Kate as it seems all of Kate’s former girlfriends eventually make it back to Gotham and back into Kate’s life. Julia is a nice addition to the series and one that hopefully returns in future episodes as she gives Kate a run for her money in terms of toughness, something the Sophie character has yet to attain.

The 100 says farewell to its moral compass in an emotional, heart-pounding episode

The 100 Season 6 Episode 9
It seems strange to say that everything’s coming together, considering the overall high quality of this season. Nonetheless, this episode had the uniquely satisfying feeling of disparate threads knitting together. That is, until the emotional gut-punch of Marcus Kane’s death.
While Greyston Holt’s time on The 100 playing the second coming of Marcus Kane was shortlived, it was impressive. He managed to somehow have the Kane vibe down cold, in an otherworldly way. Still, I was glad to see Henry Ian Cusick get to say farewell as the character he spent five seasons building and creating. When we first met Kane, he was an odious heel, the kind that was so juicy, so easy to hate. It was hard to imagine then that he would...

It's already been announced that the Bitten TV show has been cancelled in Canada so there won't be a fourth season. However, there are hopes that the series can continue in some form. Positive ratings on Syfy could certainly help those efforts. Will the numbers improve in season three? Stay tuned.

The first season of Bitten performed very well in Canada (where it's produced) and even became Space's highest-rated original series to date. The show performed okay here in the States on Syfy. How will season two do? Will this supernatural series be cancelled or renewed for a third season? If it's a hit in Canada but not in the U.S., will Syfy air future seasons? Stay tuned.

Syfy’s “werewolf” series Bitten stars is based on the bestselling author Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series of novels. In anticipation of the season 2 debut, we sat down with stars Laura Vandervoort and Greyston Holt to discuss the show and what we can expect from the new season…
Greyston, I know Laura you already talked about this, but can you talk about kind of your character’s experience being with the witches and how it’s going to kind of change Clay this season?
Greyston Holt: Yes. I mean, I think it just – it broadens all of our horizons a little bit you know. It’s a big bomb to drop in our world that there was – there were others out there with you know supernatural abilities and there’s a whole new world that’s opened up and I think it’s just kind of...

Sneak Peek footage from Season 2 of the 'female werewolf' drama series "Bitten", returning February 7, 2015, starring actress Laura Vandervoort ('Supergirl' in "Smallville"), based on the New York Times best-selling novels by author Kelley Armstrong:
"...'Elena Michaels' (Vandervoort), the world's only female werewolf, is forced to take on life-threatening responsibilities in a male-dominated world.
"In Season 1, Elena was pushed to embrace her 'inner wolf'.
"From the 'Mutt' uprising orchestrated by 'The Pack' leader Jeremy Danvers' (Greg Bryk), to finding dead ex-boyfriend 'Phillip' (Paul Greene) in her bed, Elena is out for blood.
"Reunited with The Pack and her true love 'Clay Danvers' (Greyston Holt), nothing stands in the way of protecting her family and hunting down those who seek to destroy them.
"Season 2 sees The Pack on the hunt for 'Malcolm' (James McGowan). In their quest to capture him, they uncover a more sinister force that threatens the existence of the werewolf species.

Possible spoilers ahead. *Seriously, don't read, if you haven't seen the movie*
When I first heard about Jen and Sylvia Soska (re: Soska Twins/The Soskas), I admit I had never seen their work. I had zero idea about who they were, or how they had come to Indie Horror prominence, yet once I started hearing their names, it became almost a daily occurrence.
Something about this concerned me, though, because the first thing I heard about them was, “Have you seen 'American Mary'? They're awesome for female Directors! Their stuff can lean a bit extreme feminist at times, but, they're not bad, at all!” – and that didn't quite sit well, with me. The way their work was described was almost 'man-hating', and for obvious reasons, I found myself hesitant to seek out their work.

But the massive slasher is about to get a second wind, unbeknownst to the young partiers in the same building. When he walked into the room, he nearly blotted out the sun that was peering through the hotel window while shining brightly on the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. There I was, ready to go one-on-one with the demon Kane, and I managed to come out without a scratch.
Before I begin, at this time I'd like to thank Kane for not chokeslamming me when I tried putting him in a sleeper. Of course I kid, but he was eyeballing some chairs and tables ominously during our interview about the resurrection of Jacob Goodnight for the Lionsgate / WWE Studios film See No Evil 2.

"In the movie I play Amy," Harris (pictured) tells us of her character. "Amy works at the morgue and loves her job, dropped out of Med School to pursue it because she feels like at the end of the day we all end up here anyway."

One is small, swift, and sinister, and the other is towering, menacing, and brutal. You wouldn’t want to run into either one. Horror movie antagonists Leprechaun and Jacob Goodnight may use different malicious methods, but both are deadly denizens of upcoming films from WWE Studios and Lionsgate. An Sdcc panel and an autograph session featuring Leprechaun: Origins and See No Evil 2 have been announced, and the panel will include an unveiling of the new looks of Leprechaun and Jacob Goodnight.
On Thursday, July 24th an autograph signing of a convention exclusive two-sided poster by Jen and Sylvia Soska, Glenn “Kane” Jacobs, Danielle Harris, and Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl will take place at Lionsgate’s booth #4045 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Following the signing, the panel will begin in Room #7Ab at 7pm. We have the official press release with full details of the event and the synopses of both films below.

Last Summer news arrived that those talented Soska sisters (below) would be tackling slasher sequel 'See No Evil 2'. Now with the project in the can it was up to Lionsgate to nail some release dates. And it looks like the studio will be handing it over to its Lionsgate Home Entertainment arm to bring it DVD, Blu-ray and VOD this coming Autumn/Fall. Continuing the tale of the psychotic Jacob Goodnight, with both WWE's Kane reprising his role and with the Twisted Twins at the helm, we're hoping for some good old fashioned slasher entertainment. The follow-up stars Danielle Harris ('Among Friends'), Katharine Isabelle ('American Mary'), Michael Eklund ('The Divide'), Greyston Holt ('Bitten'), Chelan Simmons ('Tucker and Dale vs Evil'), Kaj Eriksen, and Lee Majdoub....
