Matthew Shepherd(I)
- Actor
Matt Shepherd is a marketing and communications professional working in higher education. In the 1990s and 2000s he sidelined as a professional comics writer, largely for Slave Labor Graphics (now SLG) and Ape Entertainment, as well as other small publishers. One SLG comic, Dead Eyes Open, was a modest success by comics standards but a big success by horror/zombie standards, leading among other things to a spot in the Zombiemania documentary alongside George Romero, Tom Savini, Max Brooks and, oddly enough, a pre-alt-right-nutbar Jordan Peterson. Matt has been internet-famous for a number of other odd projects, including a graphical map of the movie Rashomon, a 404 page that was featured in a leading marketing publication, and for owning and operating the world's smallest art gallery, the Tiniest Gallery, as of June 2022 located in Kingston, Ontario.
