Áquilla

Áquila Correia is a Brazilian trans actress living in Portugal. Áquila has a Master's degree in Theater from the School of Theater and Cinema of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, best known for playing Marjoris in the soap opera Cacau on the Portuguese channel TVI. A few years ago, in 2020, she created a housing project she called Casa T, a shelter for trans artists from other countries. With 4000 euros, she managed to set up the first Casa T, money she raised through a campaign on the Gofundme platform. In an interview with RFI, Áquilla explained that "the campaign is a cry for help, even for companies, for the State, to think about a much more open selection process, one that manages to consider human beings for their potential, for their path".
