After several leaks of a new Destiny expansion coming in September, Bungie has finally confirmed it all with a new trailer for Rise of Iron! Take a look!
The story Destiny fans have been clamoring for may finally be upon us Destiny: Rise of Iron. One of the biggest issues people have had with the game is the weak plot in an otherwise tremendously fun game. Bungie hopes to fix that with their latest expansion.
Destiny: Rise of Iron promises a cavalcade of new content like story, weapons/armor, strike, and the ever-awesome Raid. That's not all, though. They're also bringing back the epic rocket launcher Gjallahorn!
I was so upset when they nerf'd the Gjally. So much so that I actually put down the game for a while. I wasn't the only one either. Destiny's traffic dropped a little while after The Taken King was released. The problem being...

Bungie president Harold Ryan has departed the company, the studio announced earlier today in a statement on their website. Ryan has held the position for the last sixteen years, and his now-empty role is to be filled by Pete Parsons when he’s promoted to the role of chief executive officer.
The blog post continues by outlining Parsons’ new duties, saying that he’ll be “tasked with leading the talented Bungie team as they continue to develop great Destiny experiences.”
Parsons had his own piece to say in regards to the news, having only good things to say about Ryan’s decade-plus tenure at the company.
I want to personally thank Harold for his friendship, passion, hard work, and dedication in helping make Bungie the great company it is today. As a team, we celebrated many victories and weathered many storms.
He also wastes no time in reassuring Destiny fans...

Over the weekend, the Desitny Beta came to an end, but while it was going on, it seems that's all anyone was talking about. Now we know why, as stats have come out as to how many people logged in to take advantage of Bungies upcoming shooter Mmo for the current generation platforms. Here's a hint, it was a Lot of people.
In short, the Destiny beta was a huge hit, providing the largest number of users on a beta so far during this generation. That's a pretty good indication of how many people want this game and will likely pick it up upon release. Our own team here at Cinelinx (myself included) got in on the fun during the beta and came away largely impressed.
