"In Essentials, mathematician Harris Pax predicted the end of the world, but failed to prevent it. Now he’s living alone in a bunker and his niece’s favorite toys are starting to talk to him. The good news? He’s not the world’s sole survivor. The bad news? The other survivors are trapped in alternate realities — trapped in imagined worlds full of zombies, pterodactyls, and chaos. And now Harris Pax and an unlikely ally must travel the country on a quest to restore reality, save humanity, and defeat his new interdimensional nemesis: Snuggles."

And that's exactly what Spencer (Timothy Omundson) does in our exclusive clip from Carter & June, heading to theaters on May 18, 2018. As you might imagine, based on that title alone, the film revolves around Carter and June, but it's clear Omundson will also play a key role. Nicholas Kalikow directed. The synopsis describes Carter & June thusly: "Inventive blackmail schemes, flamboyant gangsters, power politics, greed, evangelicals and sex collide in this action packed dark comedy heist." The clip, which you can watch below, certainly gives us a good taste of what's...

"All we need is five minutes alone in that vault." Freestyle Digital Media has released an official trailer for action comedy heist film Carter & June, the latest from producer / director Nicholas Kalikow (Concrete Blondes). This dark comedy, action crime thriller mainly features "inventive blackmail schemes, flamboyant gangsters, power politics, greed, evangelicals and sex," which sounds like fun. The cast features Samaire Armstrong as June, and Michael Raymond-James as Carter, and also includes Timothy Omundson, James Landry Hébert, Paul Rae, Lindsay Musil, and Will Beinbrink. This doesn't look as good as I was expecting, but it does have some offbeat humor to offer. Not for me, but may be for you, give it a watch. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Nicholas Kalikow's Carter & June, direct from YouTube: Only described as: "Do the job. Get the money. Get the girl. Get the kid. Simple, right?" Jane Espenson has announced the new project she has been working on with Alessandra Torresani, Brad Bell (Cheeks) and Sean Hemeon, in an interview with CliqueClack. Yes, it's Husbands, a web series about "two guys, a newly dating couple, who celebrate a new marriage equality law in Vegas and wake up married." A couple of snippets from the interview:
Km: What do you hope to become of Husbands in the long run? If it simply stays as a free series on the web, will that satisfy not only you but the actors?
Je: Honestly, I would love to see Husbands turn into a network television show. I’m loving the freedom that we’re enjoying as we put it together ourselves, but there’s something about it that feels so accessible — it’s Ab Fab, Dharma and Greg, Will and Grace … it feels...
