Telugu-language action film “Og,” starring Pawan Kalyan, has unveiled a global theatrical release date. The film is produced by D.V.V. Danayya for Dvv Entertainment, whose previous film, S.S. Rajamouli blockbuster “Rrr,” won an Oscar and a Golden Globe. The film, a gangster epic, has been shot across Mumbai and Hyderabad. It features Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and the cast also includes Prakash Raj, Priyanka Mojan, Arjun Das and Sriya Reddy. Sujeeth is the director. Music is by Thaman S.
Kalyan is a member of the Konidela film family. Megastar Chiranjeevi is his brother and “Rrr” star Ram Charan his nephew. Also a politician, Kalyan is the founder of the Jana Sena Party. Among his films, his recent hits include “Bro” (2023), “Bheemla Nayak” (2022) and “Vakeel Saab” (2021).
“Og” is due to release worldwide theatrically on Sept. 27 in the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Grayson Perry, Richard Ayoade and Great British Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc are to cycle around the UK with comedian David O’Doherty in a Banijay-owned 8 Out of 10 Cats producer Zeppotron format for Channel 4.
O’Doherty, who created and is exec producing the four-parter, will be paired with a different celebrity each week in The Ride (working title), journeying along cycling routes in Wales, Suffolk and Kent, chatting and laughing along the way with his guests.
The show is the latest for Channel 4 to be co-produced by Motion Content Group, which is partnering with it on its Contestable Pot 2022 for unscripted shows.

Sean Lock, the UK TV personality known for his deadpan style and appearances on panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, has died at the age of 58.
Lock had been battling cancer for some time and died at home surrounded by his family, his agent confirmed to the Guardian.
Breaking into TV in the early 1990s with a role on Rob Newman and David Baddiel’s Newman And Baddiel In Pieces, Lock had various behind and in front of the camera roles on the small screen. He also had his own BBC Radio 4 show 15 Minutes of Misery, which later became the TV series 15 Storeys High, which he wrote and acted in.
