Beth Simonson Handler

Beth has advised, represented and launched national promotions and
media, traditional advertising and Internet marketing campaigns for
fortune 500 companies, members of Congress, celebrities, non-profit
organizations and activist leaders. She built a marketing partnership
and produced a national Internet campaign featuring recording artist
Trace Adkins and involving corporate partners, Equifax, AT&T and NASCAR
to promote new music and consumer products and services
As Vice President for iGive.com, she represented 9000 non-profits and 230 merchants and developed celebrity promotion strategies to build traffic, brand identity and product sales to benefit humanitarian causes. As an Advertising Executive in the Cable Television industry, Beth produced hundreds of targeted advertising campaigns using 28 networks such as ESPN, CNN, USA, Discovery, and Lifetime. Her work included developing strategies, implementing multi-media campaigns, producing commercials, increasing sales, and building loyal customer relationships. She combined cable, print, direct mail and the Internet resulting in history breaking sales for her clients. She was the publicist for activist Mitch Snyder, and was successful in getting national media attention to the cause of homelessness and lack of housing for the poor. She produced press conferences, public media events and talk show appearances. She produced the segments and booked Mitch on Good Morning America, Geraldo and Arsenio Hall to announce "Housing Now", a march on Washington and to promote the academy award nominated documentary about his life "Promises to Keep" and its national airing on PBS. She continued to feed the media with exiting stories and built a celebrity coalition for Mitch and the national march on Washington.
Her efforts included a telemarketing campaign to the top agents and managers in Hollywood; established a celebrity committee with Jon Voight, Valerie Harper, Katy Sagal and Jean Kasem to produce events in celebrity homes; produced a segment on "Entertainment Tonight" with Whoopie Goldberg, Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. Her efforts resulted in 113 celebrities attending the national march in Washington with an estimated 250,000 citizens, massive media attention and more understanding about the problems of housing and homelessness.
In 2000, she launched the international coalition, The Global AIDS Alliance with its founder, Dr. Paul Zeitz, non profit leaders and members of Congress. Her consulting built the infrastructure of partnerships between AIDS groups, members of Congress and the entertainment community. The coalition now represents more than 40 groups and 2 million people worldwide with a focused mission to address AIDS in Africa. Though their work, the Bush Administration committed 15 billions dollars over 5 years to help fight AIDS.
Recently, Beth has assisted television and event producers and activists to launch projects in the peace movement. Following the 9/11 attack, Ms. Handler was a special guest speaker for the congressional briefing, "Women as World Peace Leaders" held in the Capitol building where she addressed ambassadors, policy makers and members of congress. Other notable clients include: Willie Nelson for Farm Aid, the Bosnian Peace Project during the Dave Mathews Band's 2000 tour and launch of ManyOne Networks.
