- Joe Eigo was born in 1980 in Toronto, Canada. Born from a Filipino family, Joe began training in gymnastics at a young age after a coach saw him at a birthday party. Joe began to train hard as a gymnast and soon added martial arts to the mix, studying freestyle martial arts and wushu. In 2003, Joe became the youngest member to join the world reknowned Jackie Chan Stuntman Association. - Joe Eigo spent most of his early years in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. His father introduced him to such action stars as Bruce Lee spurring a fascination with action films. During his 9th year while attending a birthday party at a gymnastics club, Joe was scouted by Gary Legault, who encouraged him to develop his natural gymnastics abilities. He began training 5 days a week 3.5 hours a day became Ontario's provincial gymnastics champion within his first six months. The following year, he won the Argo provincial division and later competed national level across Canada. Joe Eigo retired from his competitive gymnastics training at the age of 13 and took his first part time job as a gymnastics instructor. His passion for teaching and his own personal training led him to develop his style, Multi Level Moves.
After high school Joe took a year off traveling before enrolling in college. Sept 11th 2001 changed many life's including Joe's decision to pursue his studies in college. He started to follow his heart in seeking out his dream to enter the film and television business in Toronto. Networking was his #1 priority because he believed that eventually his talents would be recognized.
In 2001 word had spread that Jackie Chan was filming a movie in Toronto called "The Tuxedo". Joe told all his friends and contacts to help him locate where ever he was filming. All he wanted was to have 30 seconds at trying his luck out with meeting JC. Later he developed the first Multi Level Moves website and began distributing video samplers demonstrating his unique style.
He was fortunate enough to meet Jackie Chan during the filming of The Tuxedo in Toronto. This encounter encouraged him to train harder and educate himself in the film and television industry. Early in 2003 he joined Jackie Chan's professional stunt team and went on to film Around The World In 80 Days and later traveled to Iceland to film the stunts for the show LazyTown (2002).
Early 2005 Eigo was given a pair of Power Riser Spring Stilts. He began practicing and training on them not knowing that they were going to come in handy. A few weeks later he auditioned for Lord of the Rings the mega musical. It was the biggest theater production ever created. They were looking for circus performers that had acrobatic skills.
On Sept 2005 Joe Eigo joined the cast. It was a 6-month rehearsal period building a brand new show from scratch. Feb 4th 2006 the World Premiere was in Toronto Canada at the Princess Of Wales Theater.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Joe Eigo himself
