Vmi Worldwide has picked up international rights and launched talks at TIFF on Joachim Back’s dark comedy Corner Office starring Jon Hamm.
The film received its world premiere earlier this year at Tribeca Festival and follows Orson, a corporate employee trying to move up the ladder who discovers a secret room in his drab office building, which causes problems with his new colleagues.
Rounding out the cast are Danny Pudi, Sarah Gadon and Christopher Heyerdahl. Ted Kupper adapted the screenplay from Jonas Karlsson’s novel The Room.

Lightning Entertainment heads to the Afm with Jacob Tierney’s comedy that premiered in Toronto.
James Caan, Sonja Bennett, Danny Trejo, Paul Campbell and Laura Harris star in the tale of a hard-partying woman who fakes pregnancy to gain acceptance from her friends.
Bennett also wrote the screenplay to Preggoland. The producers are Kevin Eastwood, Dylan Collingwood and Robert Mitchell.
Acquisitions and sales consultant Richard S Guardian and svp of Lightning Entertainment Joseph Dickstein negotiated the deal with the producers.
Lightning’s international sales slate includes horror-thrillers Indigenous, Dark House and The Pack and dramatic thriller Ask Me Anything starring Britt Robertson.
