- Birth nameJon Richard Lewis
- Jonny Lewis started acting at age 45 after being invited to a theatre audition "just to watch." After lead roles in 3 Off-Off-Broadway shows in 2002, and winning a Best Actor award for the first short film he ever acted in, he moved to Los Angeles, where he did 150 student and indie films in 8 years. While taking care of his elderly mother in Michigan from 2014 to late 2019, Jonny occasionally flew back to LA to shoot short films that earned him 20 awards on IMDb (plus another 7 awards from non-IMDb festivals) and 150 festival appearances.. Jonny will be directing his first feature (a comedy) in September of 2021 in Idaho, called "Waking Up in Idaho," using local talent as well as crew and two cast members from his short films. He lived in Idaho for 3½ months in order to write a more authentic script, about two foster kids (a Nez Perce girl and a white boy) who get kicked out of their foster home and have to adjust to their new foster moms over a weekend of camping, hiking, horseback riding, and panning for gold.- IMDb Mini Biography By: J.
