Wil Wheaton landed his first professional acting gig in 1981, appearing in the TV movie "A Long Way Home." He was nine years old. Wheaton was impressive enough to become one of Hollywood's more in-demand child actors, and the next five years of his life were immensely busy. He appeared in films like "The Defiant Ones" and "The Last Starfighter," and TV shows like "Highway to Heaven," "Family Ties," and "St. Elsewhere." It was nothing but an upward arc for the young performer.
Wheaton's first leading role came in 1986 with the release of Rob Reiner's 1950s nostalgia piece "Stand By Me," an adaptation of the Stephen King novella "The Body." In "Stand By Me," Wheaton played 12-year-old Gordie Lachance, a kid smarting from the recent death of his older brother and the familial resentment it caused. Gordie has three close friends -- played by Rover Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell...

Two decades after Usher made fans question if every time he was in L.A., he was with his ex-girlfriend, the R&b sensation finally gave an answer.
In a People cover story following his Super Bowl halftime performance, Usher opened up about his Confessions album, which features several songs with lyrics about a man cheating on his partner with his ex.
“There is a great deal of truth in that album,” Usher told the publication. He noted, however, that it wasn’t just his truth, explaining that he reached out to multiple male friends in the industry at the time, and they had “talk sessions” and came up with the lyrics.
“We would sit around, and I would say, ‘Yo, check your egos at the door, and let’s just really be honest,'” he recalled. “‘Everybody has to speak their truth.'”

Stephen King's work is consistently praised for taking everyday situations and turning them on their heads in a horrific way. One of the ways he accomplished this was by building up the world around the story. He created the fictional town of Castle Rock to ground his work and give the reader a sense of familiarity. It stands in for just about any small town in the United States. While King throws in his usual Maine touch, it has parts that everyone can identify with.
Since there have been numerous adaptations of King's work, the town of Castle Rock has had its share of on-screen appearances that can shape a story of the town without the movies even being related. This creates a way to tie movies together through the evolution of recurring characters to show the changes that Castle Rock itself has gone through.

Stars: Chris Cavalier, Melissa Daddio, Sean Michael Gloria, Jason Henne, Rhyssa-Kathryn Marie, Jovanni Mazzaferro, Lisa Mcconnell, Madeleine Murphy, Kierney Nelson, Stephanie Town, Gail Yost | Written and Directed by Joseph Mazzaferro
Joseph Mazzaferro (Scathing) writes and directs this Halloween comedy-horror film about a group of teenagers who are going to find out if the rumours about Aunt Ethel are true. Does she kill and cook the children who knock on her door at Halloween while they trick or treat? Does she make pie and treats out of them? Yikes…
I was easily drawn to this like I’m drawn to any movie that has a Halloween concept. The whole season of good chill is something I’ve been a lover of since I was a kid, dressing up as Dracula and knocking on doors asking for sweets. Halloween films are sometimes absolutely wonderful and sometimes they’re… well… not. I was...
